Highly recommended for Snagging!!

I wanted to share feedback on the recent house snagging inspection conducted by David. His attention to detail and thoroughness in identifying potential issues were very much appreciated. David has provided a comprehensive list of snags that needed addressing, which gave us confidence in the overall quality of the work.

The explanations about each snag were clear, and you patiently answered our questions, making the process easy to understand. We also appreciated the professional approach you took, ensuring nothing was overlooked.

David came to inspect my new build property last week (post completion) and I would recommend him to anyone in the north east looking for a professional snagger.
He turned up early and methodically worked through the property, both inside and out. He was professional, courteous and friendly, and respectful of my new home.
The report arrived promptly that same evening.

Recently bought a new build house. I remember going to see it before we exchanged and being told by the guy showing us round ‘we don’t get many snags, people just do it by themselves.’ This is probably why they don’t get many snags. As an unqualified person I can spot most of the cosmetic stuff. It’s the parts I don’t really understand that worried me. Hence the need for a professional snagger, and I’m really glad I chose David at Quality Home Check. He turned up on time and began with the outside of the house. We handed over the house keys and he asked if we had any concerns about anything inside the house. Then we left and he checked the house over, posting the keys back through the door when he left. His report was extremely thorough and emailed to us within 24 hours of his visit. He spotted things I would not have even considered but, quite rightly, needed putting right. All I had to do was hand the completed report, which included photos of the snags, to the developer and leave it in their (seemingly less than capable) hands. Even if I had spent the money and he had turned round and reported no snags, it would have been money well spent for the peace of mind. I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend David to anyone who required their home inspecting (his details have been passed on to a few people on the estate). His prices were definitely on the lower side of the snagging companies we looked at but I feel we got a quality service. I will certainly be looking at booking a reinspection, when the time comes!!

David did a great job snagging my new build, picking up on bits I wouldn’t have even thought about. He was at the house for several hours making sure he was being thorough with his assessment and wrote a very comprehensive report which was shared straight away with the builders, who could then get to work resolving all the issues raised. We chose to go with David for our snagging report as he was highly recommended by others on similar building sites and was very knowledgeable, being able to answer all the questions we had before carrying out the inspection. We would also recommend David and will be using him in the future for further reports before our 2 year warranty expires.

I’m very happy with the snagging inspection that David conducted. I wasn’t sure what would be found but I found the report to be very comprehensive.
I found David very attentive to detail. He had actually arrived at my property an hour earlier and had spent that time conducting an external review before I even arrived.
He raised many points, and these were things that I would never have found, nor would I have the capability to find. The report was concise and to the point, with each issue accompanied with a photograph.
It was great to talk to David about the house and issues and I found this very insightful.
All in all, this was money well spent and David put my mind to ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services.

David at QHC was fantastic. This was my first new build property and I had anxieties about snags and issues. David was very flexible (I had to delay the move in date by a week due a build delay), and extremely efficient. He spent well over three hours in the house - and inspected inside and outside, including the garden/fencing etc..
He took photos, and explained any major issues to me during his work. He then wrote a full report and I had a copy later that day.

I really cannot recommend QHC highly enough. For the service I received this was really very good value. Thank you David.

We would 100% recommend David for all of your snagging needs. We have owned a new build house previously but never used a snagger. Believe it or not, we had loads of issues further down the line when our 2 year warranty had ran out and I believe if we had used a snagger, we wouldn’t have had these issues. When we bought our new house, we decided to use a professional snagger to ensure that we didn’t have the same issues with this one. I have no idea what to look for when picking out issues with a new build house that need rectifying however David has definitely got a good eye for it and managed to find over 100 things that needed raising with the builder. Luckily, there was nothing major on this list however, because this is going to be our forever home, we wanted everything to be perfect so we’re extremely thankful that David found them all. David’s knowledge and expertise was fantastic. His list was precise and well presented. He is extremely professional and made us feel so much more relaxed in our new home after finishing the snagging list. David got our list back to us promptly with photographs for every snag to refer to. The builders have since been back and rectified the majority of the snags on the list and are continuing to go through it until our home is perfect! Even the site manager was impressed with his snagging list and compared it to other lists he has seen. We would like to thank David for helping us feel more settled and happy knowing that our forever home is snag free!!

David helped us with our post completion snagging. He was really honest and suggested that a post completion inspection would cover more than a pre-completion inspection as the regulations/rules are different for each. He was very knowledgeable, approachable and reliable and helped identify areas and issues that we didn’t even think of or notice. I would definitely recommend and use his services again.
