Difficult to use, it comes and goes at random so you don't know if it is set up or not and it switches off too easily. On eBay it obscures important information so you have to turn it off sometimes when you want it on. So frustrating I wish it were better

i had a delivery in may, the returns period was 28 days, Rakuten claim cashback is available 45 days after the returns policy ends, it is now well over 60 days and no sign of cashback being added to my balance.
Also nearly every other order i've placed has been deemed ineligable.
will never use again and highly recommend not using them .

Cashback was paid. Sometimes accessing a merchant's website via the app is fiddly. The desktop website and browser plugin are more handy. Sometimes the wait time for cashback is long e.g. if booking accommodation, the cashback might be confirmed months after the trip takes place (which is transparently explained).

Always get some cash every month from shopping at sainsburys really happy

Joined a short time ago and have received cash back on my weekly Sainsbury’s shopping along with a welcome bonus and have had my first payment. Very pleased.

I enjoy the fact that there are many affiliate company and seem to have the fastest clearance and payout process

Love this app cash back is really good on all my favourite shops. Got my first cash back last week and was quick no messing around . Highly recommend specially to friends and family.

I didn't listen to my own scepticism when I saw the £10 welcome bonus but I wish I had, I thought to myself I will just make one purchase over £30 on a supported site to see if I actually get the welcome bonus.

After I made my purchase on the supported retailer I noticed there was no kind of confirmation on Rakuten so I went through the help page about missing cashback, I then got a message almost immediately saying my cashback had been found and added to my account, a measly 28p well below the 11.5% advertised! basically 1%

Shortly after I then got an email saying my cashback had been found but it was added to my account in the form of courtesy credits with a by the way I was now not eligible for the welcome bonus unless I made another purchase. There reasoning? because courtesy credits are not an eligible method for qualifying for the welcome bonus. What?? what is courtesy credits and why has that been added to my account when I didn't ask for it.

It seems essentially reading through many reviews there are some, maybe many people who get there cashback and bonuses but at anytime they can just make an excuse and not pay you what was promised, I tryed sending more emails and just got generic replies ignoring my actual questions. Another common complaint I see which I also noticed straight away was that there is no clear way when going through checkout to know how much cashback you are actually getting and if you even qualify you basically just hope and pray it shows up on your Rakuten account.

If you ever see a high cashback offer such as 10% or 20% there is almost always a bunch of additional notes you should read basically excluding almost everything on the website so in actual fact you might get something more like 1% cashback.

Bit slow on confirming the cashback - can take months - but you are earning money for shopping. It's great.

The site just pops up and I'm on for cash back

**Account unavailable since April – support has not responded**

I've been unable to access my Rakuten account since April 2026. When I try to log in, I receive the message: "Your account is currently unavailable. Please contact Rakuten Member Services for assistance."

I contacted Member Services in April and followed up again in May, but I have received no reply. It is now September and my account is still inaccessible.

I have approximately £11 of confirmed cashback in the account, which I am also unable to access.

I appreciate that £11 isn't a large amount, but I've given Rakuten several months and two opportunities to resolve this privately. I would simply like an explanation for why my account is unavailable and for my access and confirmed cashback to be restored.

I would appreciate someone from Rakuten contacting me and escalating this to the appropriate team.
