Never received parts or credit

I ordered a part on August 8, received a receipt, and the amount was charged to my credit card. To date, I have not received the part and they can't find any record of it even though I presented them with a copy of their email confirming the order and the charge on my credit card. I am still awaiting a credit as I had to order the part from another vendor.

Cancellation of subscription

Unfortunately, I had the worst experience ever when I emailed Reliable Parts to cancel my subscription. I got a reply that they can not cancel my subscription, as requested. Although I informed them that I no longer want to request any parts from their online store, the response I got from them sounded fishy and dishonest.

Scam company

Before you buy from them, look carefully at their return policy, which says they will not accept any "installed" parts under any circumstances. You can bring back a brand new unused part next day with proof of purchase and they will find "signs of installation" even if it has none and will not except your return, with restocking fee or not. Period! How pathetic is that? Put simple, expect all part sales final and not-returnable with this company.

Also, they are selling unbranded parts which could well be counterfeit. The heater element I got from them was supposed to have GE OEM permanent stamp on it, at least a part number, voltage and wattage ratings, which all reputable brands put on their products, so you know what you are buying and what you deal with in the field. Refer to NFPA 70, 2023 > 4 Equipment for General Use > 422 Appliances > 422.61 Marking of Heating Elements. But this one had none at all. They will tell you that this is due to how they procure items from manufacturers "in bulk". Sure! Chinese knockoff sweatshops do just that!

So, they are by minimum not code compliant, worse could be selling fake parts and charge you a premium for worthless POC.

Bottom line - nothing short of scam. How can you trust a company like that? I'll never deal with them again!

Wrong part sent...not accountable

I talked to a customer service person online and told them my issue. They told me the part that was needed and it was wrong. The worst part was that it was for a cottage appliance and by the time it was shipped to me, we closed it up until the season was over. I didn't know the part was wrong until I went up to the cottage a few months later and tried to install it. Of course, the have a 30 day return policy....and by the time I had a chance to replace, it was too late. I reached out to customer service for help, but they refuse to be understanding. Brutal.

Wrong part received

Wrong part received, but i ordered the right one (as state on the bill). I email them, call them, etc. In french, in english, nobody i talked in this company seems to have a level of understanding above a 3 years old kid. Nobody in this company can open i picture send from gmail. I will never never never buy again from them. You shipped the wrong part can I have my part and the right one for **** sake!!!!!!! Go elsewhere and please bankrupted them. It's been 20 days and I talked to them each of those days and they still don't understand a thing.

Ordered a start capacitor for a fridge

Ordered a start capacitor for a fridge. Did not receive the advertised part made in japan. They sent me a cheap part made in india with incorrect value which I cannot use. Wrote to them and did not bother to reply. Lost 38 dollars as a result. Had to get the part somewhere else.

Whirlpool oven part

My 18-year-old Whirlpool oven stopped working last week—the bake element gave out. I searched everywhere: Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Rona... tried a few universal parts, but nothing fit. Then a helpful staff member at Home Depot suggested I check out Reliable Parts. I found the exact discontinued bake element I needed on their website—at a better price than similar parts. It arrived in just two days and took me only five minutes to install. The oven’s working perfectly again. Huge thanks to Reliable Parts! I don't have to buy a new oven.

I ordered microwave mounting bracket…

I ordered microwave mounting bracket and parts, which was fine. I forgot to deselect the "shipping is the same as billing". Within 2 hours of placing the order, I contacted them to advise, and to ask them to update the shipping address. I was told that this was impossible as the items had already shipped. THIS WAS A BLATANT LIE. I received an email from Canada Post 5 hours later saying a label had been created and I would be advised when the item had shipped. It's now the day after, I call again, only to be told that no, they cannot go into the warehouse and find the item and create a new label. They confirmed that it had NOT YET been shipped, though. Lazy lazy lazy and, as stated above, an outright lie. First and only time I'll order from this company. You better not make a mistake on your order, because no one will help you!

Bought a part for my fridge online and…

Bought a part for my fridge online and realized that the part is not in stock. I cancelled within 1 hour by phone and received email. A week later, I see charges on my cc from this company. I reported my dispute for the charges. My cc company cancelled my card after investigation. The second transaction was suspicious to my cc company since I didn’t order anything.

Lazy staff doesn't look at emails nor follow ups

I've asked them my model and part with correct model and part on their website form on March 31st 2025, they didn't bother to read my email and asking me to describe the location. I then included correct exploded diagram, picture and videos for the parts needed with 3 follow up emails and these guys didn't even bother to respond and zero replies ! Pretty unreliable if you ask me!

BEST customer service EVER experienced.

Old Kenmore stove needed bottom element. Could not find compatible replacement anywhere online, found on the Reliable Parts in Coquitlam. Online with parts chat customer service who found the part faster than it took me to enter the Model number. Hoped they would get back by email in a few days but got instant part plus link to order instead. If I actually get the right part, it will be my most stress-free order from anywhere online! Whole process probably took 5 minutes start to finish. Excellent service and price.

Be very careful with expectations and ordering.

Ordered a replacement dryer heating element on a Sunday evening after it died over the weekend. Price was good. Delivery was a suggested within 5 business days. Am in Ontario. Site showed stock at Toronto area pick up locations so it was reasonable to assume it would show up from Ontario rather quickly. Had to chase them Tuesday to confirm it had shipped as they did not send any confirmation when if did on Monday. On Tuesday, find out it shipped from Alberta and will be sometime next week. Called and chatted and basically got a ‘you should had called’. Why would I? Nothing in their ordering process or site suggested their warehouses for shipping are different than their stores and it may not be in stock. Asked for a manager and one was not available. Was told I would get a call back, nothing To add insult, price dropped 10% on the Monday morning.

A Total Rip-off

I ordered 2 replacement stove knobs that their website said would fit my stove. They didn't. When I called to return, they sent me an email describing the process. I replied with what they needed. They sent another email asking for one of the same things that I had additionally supplied in my 1st email (without them asking for it), plus 2 additional pictures of the replacement knobs on the stove and next to the old knobs. Again I sent the additional pics and info. At this point they said they could not take back any package that had been opened. We went back and forth about how could I have verified they didn't fit or taken a picture next to the original knobs without opening the package, and about how the "package" was simply a sealed, clear plastic bag. They repeatedly just said that was The Policy. At this point, I said that I had not opened 1 of the bags, so I could at least return that one. Then they said they couldn't take returns after 30 days. Since each round of interaction took 4-7 days, it was at 45 days. Five days later I noticed their website said a "60 Day Return Policy". When I contacted them and pointed this out, they said the product had to be in their office by 60 days, that I would have to pay the return shipping, and that there would be a 15% "restocking fee". I quickly sent the 1 back. I called a week later to ask about when I'd get the refund and they said they never got my shipment, and that now it was past the 60 days. So, to summarize: they send 2 knobs that they said would fit but didn't. Then made me jump through all kinds of silly hoops to try to return the knobs. And even after I complied with those requests, they still didn't refund even the small fraction back of what I paid.

Had an issue with the part that was shipped to us. When the mistake was described to Reliable’s personnel they immediately called to find out what we needed to correct the problem. They then dealt with it quickly and ensured that no additional costs to us. Very pleased with John and the others at Reliable.

Bought a OEM repair kit for my Maytag…

Bought a OEM repair kit for my Maytag dryer. Short 1 roller wheel and the belt was 3" to short. What really sucked is how far I drove to get a OEM part with my model number. No to mention what I paid for the wrong parts. Had to put nightmare machine back together with old belt. Last time for me to do business with these guys!

BOUGHT AN OVEN ELEMENT FRIENDLY FAST SERVICE AT THE COUNTER WENT TO KENT AND HOME HARDWARE AND BOTH STORES SOLD THE WRONG SO CALLED UNIVERSAL ELEMENT THAT DID NOT WORK AND HAD TO RETUEN TO BOTH STORES HERE THEY SOLD ME THE CORRECT 1 AND WORKS GREAT PRICEY BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES

I ordered a part for my speedqueen…

I ordered a part for my speedqueen front load washer, $291.00 ( includes shipping ) , it arrived very quickly, found out the washer was covered under warrenty , never opened the package, they sent a return label, ( Fed Ex ) and said they would just deduct it from the refund, okay no
problem, sent out the package coming up on 2 months and several phone calls later still no refund, 20 dec 23 1st call they said it was recieved and being processed yoi should get the refund in a few days, then the holidays hit, still no refund, next few calls they claim to not have every recieved the returned part, today when we called them we see you ordered the part and paid for it but we didn't send you a label and you never returned it, both are a slight stretch of the truth, so my dealings with this company ( after this gets settled) ends.
BTW this isn't the first part i ordered thru this company, it is the most expensive part i ordered and had to return and get the shaft ( so far ) from them.

Poor systems and communication

I will say that my experience was that the people I worked with (for the most part) were friendly and tried to be helpful. I think they just have crappy systems. I ordered online for in store pickup (because the prices are a LOT better that way). When I didn't get a notification I could pick up (after several hours) I used their chat (because the phone to my local store seemed to just go to some random persons answering machine). They could not find my order with my order number and asked for the product number. Later, when I CALLED them after again not getting any response I got the same thing. I don't understand why you can't find an order with the order number but somehow can with the product number. I never got an answer on that. Anyway, when I finally got to the store (after being assured I would not have any more problems) I found that my order had been cancelled. So, I had to just get my items from the store. At least they were willing to match the online price.
Overall, I wasted almost my whole day trying to get two overpriced parts. I guess since there is not other way to get these parts the same day they can be as crappy as they want and we will still go to them when we really need our appliance fixed right away.

UnReliable parts

UnReliable parts, ordered some dishwasher parts on Dec.23, 2023 and paid for them. Dec. 28th the wrong parts arrive(Igniter for a BBQ). Call Reliable to let them know and I returned the parts on my own time to them. Wait another week still no parts, called them again. Got put on hold and passed off to another message asking me to leave my number. Called back again to speak to a real A/hole of a customer service rep. Requested my money back and they tell you 3 to 5 days. I did not take 3 to 5 days to pay you or wait 2 plus weeks for bad service. I would not recommend this place for anything. Whomever owns this establishment should pay more attention to your customers than your wallet.
