Great service! The driver for both the drop off and collection was polite and friendly, we have a new drive way and he gently placed the skip as close to the house as possible, no damage no sinkage. The skip was in a good condition so no unsightly rust bucket on the drive for the duration. The price was the most competitive on the Internet by far, I spent a Saturday trawling through comparison sites and websites, all contact has been polite and friendly, customer service is superb and personable. Great company! They also have an eco scheme currently where they plant a tree for every 3 reviews. I’m no tree hugger but that’s great right! Very happy.

Cancellation fee when they failed to deliver
Ordered a skip. Our drive is sloped so we sent pictures, both close up and from across the road, as well as a measurement of the angle of the drive, to check whether it would be okay and was told it would be fine. We trusted them because we know other houses on our road have had skips no problem.
This morning the delivery comes and they can’t get it on the drive. They dump it on the pavement and leave and we have to try to get to taken away before we’re fined by the council. A different guy comes to take it away and tells us they always have trouble delivering to our area because it’s hilly and their trucks can’t handle it so they should have declined the job - great.
We ring to ask if we can still get a skip given we haven’t successfully been delivered one and get told we’ll get a call back in 10 minutes. Obviously no call back for hours and we have to chase. Finally get a call back and are told they can’t deliver a skip to us and will give us a refund but will charge us a cancellation fee. Baffling that they think this is acceptable, it wasn’t our fault they didn’t look the pictures and measurement properly to confirm they could deliver to us. I don’t know what more we could possibly have done to facilitate delivery. Be aware that if you book with Reliable Skips and they can’t deliver for whatever reason, they will charge you and say it’s your problem.

It sounds like a frustrating situation all round, and we appreciate the effort you went to in providing detailed information about your drive to ensure the delivery could go ahead smoothly. It's clear that this situation was far from ideal, and we regret any inconvenience caused.
Regarding the issues with delivery on sloped drives and in hilly areas, it's a challenge that we occasionally face despite our best efforts to assess and prepare for such conditions. We aim to learn from each of these experiences to improve our service moving forwards.
We understand your frustration regarding the cancellation fee. I can see as a gesture of goodwill, you were charged a minimal cancellation fee of £20 as opposed to a wasted journey charge. The fee partly covers the costs incurred on our side for the attempted delivery and collection, which, unfortunately, doesn't eliminate the expenses we faced. We strive to be transparent about potential risks and charges, though we recognise that this doesn't lessen the disappointment when things don't go as planned.
Concerning the situation with the council and potential fines, please rest assured that we would take responsibility for any repercussions resulting from the skip's placement. It's our duty to manage such issues, not yours.

We're continually working to improve our processes and customer experience, and insights like yours are crucial in this journey. Dear Paul,
We have reviewed your order in detail and, while we welcome customer feedback, we feel that your review in this instance is extremely unfair and appears to have been posted in bad faith.
Both of your skips were delivered on time, and the delay in collecting the second skip was a direct result of a breach of contract by your company, EGlobe LTD trading as Artico Interiors (www.articointeriors.com). The issues began when your team knowingly disposed of over 20 items of POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants) waste, namely upholstered furniture, which had been deliberately concealed within the skip. Despite clear photographic evidence, your company repeatedly denied placing these items in the skip—until we were left with no option but to pursue the matter through small claims to recover the significant disposal costs incurred.
The models of furniture in question are visibly featured on your company’s website and social media channels. Furthermore, the skip was located in a secure business park with CCTV coverage, adding to the weight of the evidence.
Given that your business exclusively sells furniture, it is inconceivable that you and your team were unaware of the legal obligations surrounding the disposal of environmentally hazardous waste. This is particularly concerning in light of the multiple reminders we issued regarding what cannot be placed in a general mixed waste skip.
We sincerely hope that following this incident, your company will take its responsibilities as a waste producer more seriously and ensure future compliance with the relevant environmental legislation.

The whole process went perfectly
The whole process went perfectly. Reliable understood the uncertainty over the collection date for the skip because I was unsure of when It'd be ready and they were happy to work with me to extend, and then agree the final collection date. It's unusual to experience that much flexibility without being hammered with charges in this day and age. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to others. 👍
