As a gate installer, we used Remootio for a while but had ongoing issues with devices dropping offline and losing cloud connection. This led to repeated customer complaints, and getting proper technical support was difficult.

We’ve now switched to GatEvo (UK) and the difference is clear — stable connection, installer-friendly setup, and real support from people who actually understand gate automation.

If you’re an installer looking for reliability and proper support, GatEvo is a much better choice.

Installing to a B&D roller door, reached out to Remootio Support for assistance in the wiring who not only didn't help but sent help about something else. I reached out a second time and was told that they cant assist with b&d roller door installation.

Un module sur site web chinois peut faire exactement le travail si on doit utiliser une app comme smartthings pour ouvrir sa porte de garage et coûte bien moins chère !!!

geo fencing doesn't work!! the only reason I bought it!! but too late to return via amazon.. app notification tells me the gate has been open for 5 minutes when its closed straight after opening. why o why do you screw the device together from behind and then fix back, so you cannot reopen it without destroying the fixing pads... they say you can power it from the gate controller how? without another card or different lead?
Constantly stuck out in the road whilst the internet wi-fi connects..... eventually connect then states cannot open gate as already been opened .... but it hasn't and I can't even let myself in... without my gates separate gate fob... strangely it all worked ok when first fitted even the geo now its not!! its as if a new update was downloaded and messed it up. factory reset has not helped...
A potential great product but has a major failing the geo is a must..

I am an automation tech lover and have app based control over most of my home and property.
I had been looking for a long time for an app that would work with my 20 year old GTO swing gate and was skeptical it would work because my wifi signal does not reach the front driveway gate which is quite far from the house.
Remootio came thru with flying colors, with model specific wiring directions, straightforward installation steps and it is working flawlessly!...I can control it from anywhere with phone or computer, even Alexa (contrary to several reviews in the Alexa app saying it didn't work)....it confirms actions with push notifications and I even created open and close schedules for gardener access. Thank you!!

The door opener works well and almost straight out of the box. But I do have an issue with Alexa not recognising if the door is opened or shut when asking to. There is no support or contact address to ask for help. Which made my experience not a 5-star rate.

Quality product with built in options for most all door openers.
Our controller is a Eurodrive model that required separate outputs for up and down and the wiring instructions were on the Remootio website.
You can see the app software is really well thought out, easy to use and works from anywhere. The share key option is very useful too.
Really fast shipping and I'm no expert but had this setup and installed in 30min.

I have had Remootio for just about 1 year now and I have to say there are some major flaws with this product for Android users. I have the Remootio 3 with the added Doorbell - The app is clunky but it works so there isn't really an issue here. The issue is that the doorbell, however shown online works with just one push, it in fact, required a round 3/4 second hold until the doorbell interacts with the unit. The Auto open function does not work on Android due to the apparent battery optimisation hardware/software, meaning that your phone has to be constantly unlocked or on charge for you to receive any notification from the Remootio App. The customer service is pretty appalling and it takes them days if not weeks to actually reply to you but offer no help whatsoever. It is a shame they are not willing to update their software to ensure their product which they advertise to work with Android, works with Android and that the doorbell button actually works on ONE press and not a 3/4 second hold!

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided that Remootio was the device I was gonna use for my garagedoor. Not gonna lie, it definitely lives up to my expectation, the app might not be A+ but its not far from it, im super happy with it. installation was a breeze and the build quality is very nice.

Le kit Remootio 3 est pour sa part incroyable ; il est extrêmement facile à :
1/- installer. Le site internet de Remootio contient des schémas, des explications, des images… précis et détaillés. Le vérificateur de compatibilité sur leur site est top. Le SAV est à votre écoute le cas échéant.
2/- régler. C’est d’une facilité déconcertante ; il suffit juste de faire quelques essais comme : « configuration de sortie », « impulsion de sortie »…
3/- utiliser. La stabilité du Remootio est vraiment super.

Le système pour inviter des personnes à l'utiliser (partage des clés), la planification, la fermeture / ouverture automatique … sont 👍👍👍

J’adore la possibilité de l’ouvrir (ex : en cas de pb de wifi, d’invités à la maison…), avec le Bluetooth (en plus de celle à distance), d’avoir l’info, si besoin, qd il a été ouvert ou fermé.

N’investissez pas dans les systèmes comme Control 1 , Meross… le système Remootio est hors catégorie, c’est vraiment génial ! Je ne regrette pas mon investissement, j’en ai acheté un deuxième (pour mon deuxième portail motorisé) dès le premier installé et testé !

À l’instar du SAV, un produit TOP !

I was not sure if Remootio would work with my gate opener. the service/tech people assured me it would work and guided me through installation. They were very responsive and helpful.

Flawless experience.
Had some difficulties wiring the device as my control box was a bit different from what I could find on their compatibility checker. After sending them an email, they replied me in minutes and half an hour later I had my garage door smart. Very quick and helpfull.
The app is very well build and secure. Easy to use. Now thinking to buy the camera as well, as it can be integrated in the Remootio app.
Highly recommend!!!

Awesome product and great customer service. My favorite feature is the the auto open, I literally don’t have to do anything and the gate opens when I reach home. I hope this last forever because this is a great way to getting home after a long day at the office.

I don't give 5 stars unless it's deserved, this Remootio 3 device is excellent. I wish I had it installed years ago, guarantee I will get a delivery when I'm out, so this way the courier can ring my video doorbell, I can release the gate via Remootio app & close once goods delivered. Easy to install if you are handyperson like my husband then it's free! Need good internet to your gate in my case or roller door, definitely worth the money & much cheaper to install yourself if you can, I was quoted $700+ for supply/install by a local gate company, here I've saved +$500 AUD. Highly recommend, I can open/shut the gate via the app while watching it on my Eufy cameras, fabulous.

The Remootio3 units I bought 2 years ago were pricey compared to others, but their setup was easy, thanks to well thought out documentation and extensive compatibility.
What really impressed me more recently was the support I received when the garage unit suffered from a traumatic weather event.
It's wonderful when a company backs its products and gives prompt replies and efficient support to all my questions and requests.

While the product works exactly as advertised, the real win was Customer Service. In a few email conversations, all my questions were answered in a clear and detailed explanation, along with links to external references and videos. And the response was quick! You don't find that level of quality service very often these days.
