⭐ Extremely Disappointing Experience with Renewal Water Ireland
I purchased and had a water treatment system installed by Renewal Water Ireland in May 2026, at a cost of approximately €1,300–€1,400. Unfortunately, my experience has been absolutely terrible from the beginning.
The system broke down in June, again in July, and again in August. Multiple engineers were sent out — three or four different engineers, followed by another visit — and it took repeated callouts to try to resolve the problems.
Throughout this time, I have experienced ongoing problems with the water, including grey-looking water, particles coming through the system, and what appeared to be salt entering the water lines. This is completely unacceptable for a system that cost me over €1,300 and was supposed to improve my water quality.
I am seeking a full refund of the approximately €1,300–€1,400 purchase and installation cost, or, if Renewal Water Ireland will not provide a refund, a complete replacement system at no additional cost. I have requested a refund several times, but I have been told that I will not receive one, despite being sold the system with a 12-month warranty. The repeated breakdowns during the warranty period, the unresolved water-quality problems, the need for multiple engineer callouts, and the lack of an effective after-sales resolution are the key reasons supporting my request.
From my experience, the system has been unreliable, the repeated breakdowns have caused considerable frustration, and I have been left extremely disappointed with both the product and the way my concerns have been handled.
When you spend this kind of money on a new water treatment system, you expect it to work properly, provide clean water, and be backed by proper after-sales service.
I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Renewal Water Ireland to do their research carefully and ask questions about what happens if the system repeatedly fails. My personal experience has been extremely poor, and I would not want anyone else to go through the same frustration.
I paid good money for a system that has given me nothing but problems, and I am still unhappy with the outcome.

I recently had a water softener installed by Renewell Water. During the installation, I noticed the technician was routing the outside garden tap through the softened water line. I explicitly raised this with him and requested that the garden tap remain on the untreated mains supply, as running softened water outdoors needlessly wastes bags of salt. The installer brushed aside my concern and connected it anyway.

When customer service subsequently followed up, they completely reversed the situation—claiming I had requested the outside tap to be softened—and quoted €120 to come out and fix the issue. I messaged them back to clarify that the technician had ignored my direct instructions on install day and that this should be corrected free of charge, but I have received no response since.

Leaving an outdoor tap on hard water is standard plumbing practice. Having an installer disregard instructions on-site, followed by customer service demanding extra payment to correct their own setup and then ignoring communication, makes for a very frustrating experience.

**Two systems, unresolved faults and disappointing after-sales support**

I bought two QETTLE boiling water and chiller systems from this company, which presents itself as an Irish business. They were installed just over a month ago and have not worked correctly since installation. Despite two visits, the problems remain unresolved.

The boiling-water tap spits water and barely fills two mugs before stopping. The chiller makes so little noticeable difference that I struggle to distinguish chilled water from ordinary tap water.

The staff have been nice and friendly, and I have tried to remain polite, patient and cooperative. Unfortunately, everything seems to be put on the long finger when it comes to resolving the faults.

On three occasions, I have had to rearrange my working day to be on site and troubleshoot directly with their UK supplier, QETTLE. I have also carried out further tests, including opening the chiller at their engineers’ request. I felt unsafe doing this and do not believe a customer should be expected to undertake it.

Calls go through an AI telephone system, and the support team appears to be based in the Philippines. My concern is the difficulty getting clear written answers and someone to take responsibility for resolving the problems.

I bought from this company expecting them to manage installation and after\-sales support. Instead, too much of the troubleshooting and coordination has fallen to me.

After more than a month, two visits and considerable disruption, I still do not have reliably working systems. I am still seeking a refund.

I chose Renewell Water after researching the Irish market thoroughly. It was the BEST choice I could have made based on the before and after Sales by Dillon and Keith at the seamless installation. This company has got it right when it comes to product (Reverse Osmoses water cleaning system), Customer Service and just generally easy and pleasant to deal with. I am delighted with my fresh water, saving hundreds on plastic water bottles! Thank You for a great customer experience 🙌🌻

BE WARNED - DISHONEST COMPANY

TL;DR:
1. The filtration system works on a pre-set timer which shuts everything off, regardless of your usage, to force you to buy a new filter or service.
2. Once you have paid they won't be so nice or care.

I bought my water filter system in July of 2025. It was a single tap, under the sink system costing me close to a thousand Euros. The customer service, support and installation was 5 Star service, but the moment the filter was installed all of that went downhill.

I was told my filter would last me at least 12 months of normal usage for a small family. I live alone, work full time and travel a lot for work, in my first year with this filtration system I spent a total of 3 months outside of the country. So essentially the filter only had 9 months of usage. For this reason I was expecting the filter to easily last me 1.5 years.

At almost exactly the 12 month mark, July 2026, the filter just shut off and stopped working. I called Renewell for support and the customer service agent showed a clear lack of concern and honestly what felt like disdain. He was rude and unhelpful and just kept telling me to pay for a new filter or service.

From my experience two things are clear:
1. The filtration system works on a pre-set timer which shuts everything off, regardless of your usage, to force you to buy a new filter or service.
2. Once you have paid they won't be so nice or care.

I recently had a water softener installed by Renewell Water. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with both the installation and the way my concerns were handled afterwards.

The external garden tap was already installed before the water softener installation. After Renewell installed the softener, I discovered that the garden tap had been connected to the softened water supply. I contacted them immediately after noticing the issue and explained my concern that an external garden tap should be kept on the unsoftened supply.

I sent several emails asking for the installation to be reviewed and for clarification on why the garden tap had been connected this way. Unfortunately, I received very limited response to the points I raised, despite following up several times.

Renewell then arranged for a technician to return and correct the pipework, but I was asked to pay an additional €70 for the correction. As I believe this was an issue that should have been identified during the original installation, I disputed the charge. However, to avoid further delay, I ultimately paid the €70 and had the pipework corrected.

The technician has now completed the work, so the immediate installation issue has been resolved. However, I am still requesting reimbursement of the €70 because I do not believe I should have been charged to correct an issue arising from the original installation.

My main disappointment is not just the €70 charge, but the lack of clear communication and response to the concerns I raised. I expected better after-sales support and a more straightforward resolution from a professional installation company.

I have kept the invoices, photographs and email correspondence relating to the installation and the €70 charge.

I hope Renewell Water will review this matter properly and reconsider the charge.

Pre sales was top notch but the actual product is not worth it. We spent north of 1500 for water filter and softener pack. However, only the filter does what it is meant to do. We continue to face hard water issue in our house and our appliances are being affected. Technicians have tried their luck, and increased my salt consumption, but no luck.

I have been assured multiple times over phone and have been told it will be solved soon! But the resolution never arrives. Hope this feedback makes everyone aware.

Note: I shall update this feedback once there my issue is resolved.

What a great experience. Ordered online, same day got a call to schedule to installation, technician came within 2 working days, installs the RO filter and did the work very cleanly and professionaly. would recommend to anyone.

Fast and efficient

Received replacement filter very quickly and it was very easy to install. Very easy to follow instruction video.

I waited a few weeks before doing a review as I wanted to see how different the water taste was and if it continued to be great.

4 weeks in and the difference is very noticeable. We can finally drink water from the tap and not needing to buy bottles anymore. Back to loving cups of tea again! Service very friendly and efficient, we ordered in a Tuesday and it was installed on Thursday.

Best investment ever.
