My home is listed for rent of Rentola. I never listed it. It is my personal family home. I have had several callers to my front door asking if it is available for rent and showing me the listing on Rentola. I have contacted the company to ask for my property to be removed and they have not replied. I have clicked on the "report a listing" link on their website where my property is listed, but again no reply, except for an invitation to send them money to open an account with them.

It is a complete scam. I can not get my listing removed and the callers to my door is getting more frequent!

Worst website ever. I signed up for their free trial to get access to landlord phone numbers and every number I tried to contact was a scam number. Later that day I attempted to cancel my subscription and it wouldn't allow me as 24 hours had not passed (what a stupid condition - they obviously know no one wants to keep their membership). I waited until after 24 hours had passed and canceled again. It seemed to work. However, the following Sunday I was billed €39 for a monthly subscription. As soon as I saw the invoice I emailed customer support. I got a reply today saying that my subscription is canceled from now on but they won't reimburse me for the first month. I am a poor college student who cannot afford to be ripped off by these guys. I hope the customer service team will come to their senses soon

Having clicked on one property for rent they asked for 1 euro for 7 days registration. There was no mention of 39 euro deducted 7 days later. I then checked my paypal it was set to automatic payment. I never agreed to an automatic payment. I then checked using my email adress if I had an account with rentola however no records found.

I had an issue with my subscription invoice. Staff were patient and respectful of my situation. They replied in a timely manner and sorted out the issue quickly.

I'm new to this apt. According to a friend of mine they are the best on the market at this time.

This is a fraud website. 1st they asked for 1 euro for 7 days registration and suddenly after 7 days 39 euro were deducted from my account, the problem with is I don't have any clue where the money is gone? I when i checked my paypal it was set to automatic payment. How they could hack your account ? Absolutely fraud

I got the feedback very late but finally I got it, I tried to go for one of the house I like by Email, so I was not aware how you will contact me and when but I still need of a house near Cork city if possible do for me the favour, tank you

After writing a negative review on here about Rentolas customer service I'm here to edit and change it accordingly to the new set of developments. I was wrong. They reached out to me and were extremely helpful in solving my issues regarding my subscription and payment problems that occurred. They escalated the issue and had it resolved in a few days. They were extremely helpful and fair and helped me tremendously when I needed help the most. I'm serious if you have any sort of problem reach out to them and they'll do their best to help you. Thank you for helping a struggling student when they needed it the most.

Do not go near this website. All I can do is reiterate what everyone is saying about it being a scam site.

I applied to an ad and realised it was a scammer when they asked me for a €20 application fee to check my criminal and rental history.

I reported them to Rentola 3 days ago and the ad is still up. I just hope nobody has fallen for this scam.

The ad which is a scam is titled "Stunning & Huge One Bedroom and bathroom unit" in Rathmines and has a rental price of 700 euro a month.
Since I've reported the ad, they have changed the picture to a picture of a stock photo of a bathroom.

Rentola clearly does not clear about it's customers if its allowing ads like this to go up without even verifying if they're legitimate or performing any due diligence.

On reading some of the positive reviews here for them, the English is poorly constructed and in some cases, it doesn't even make any sense. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it is the scammers coming on and leaving positive reviews about the site to try trick more people into using it, or if it is Rentola themselves making up fake reviews.
Either way it all seems fishy to me.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE!

I got an email from Trustpilot notifying me that Rentola wanted me to remove some the names of the fake people who tried to scam and the title of the ad. However the ad is still up on their site.
That says all you need to know about this company that they still have not even removed it.

As you can see Rentola replied to me but they used a generic response that I've noticed they use for everyone's negative review.
"We would like to have the chance to fix the issue you are facing and give you a better experience with us. Please contact us at info@rentola... so our customer service can assist you in the matter."

I have already given the exact information of the ad that is a scam and it is still up. God only knows how many people may have been scammed because of it since clearly when you receive reports of any fraudulent ads, you don't do anything.

At least anyone reading this review will see what type of organisation you are.

I signed up for the 1 euro week but forgot to unsubscribe and they charged me 39 euro. Even though I cancelled my subscription straight away and never used their service, and explained I am on disability and I can't afford to lose 39 euro, I did not get a refund.

EDIT: I was offered a 50% refund which I accepted, but was informed by email that I was actually recieving a full refund. Thank you. That's good customer service.

I contacted 3 landlords on this website. The first said they removed the ad 3 weeks ago and didn't know why it was still up. The second said they don't advertise on rentola.ie, the place was gone, and that they just pull data from other websites. The third I suspect was a scam (asked for money to view the property) I reported this ad and at the time of writing this review it was still online. I had high hopes because they had so many ads, but most are just out of date.

Some of the listings are scam! And the landlords are still verified by rentola. How do you even let this to happen?! Do you not require documents from the landlord? See if they're registered to rent out a place? Seriously, anyone trying to rent a 1 bed apartment in Dublin, if its too cheap (€1000), then 99% its a scam! Lost my deposit money and there's no way I can get them back now.

Instead of focusing on getting more listings, why not focus on quality? Check the landlords documentation thoroughly!
