Excellent service

The price was considerably more competitive than my previous insurer. However, as I used a comparison website to evaluate different products & companies, I was disappointed that RIAS advertised an inclusive courtesy car on the comparison site but that is an optional, paid for, extra on the policy.

Easy to navigate website. Options for cover clearly explained. Premium price very competitive and compulsory excess amount lower than many other insurers.

Good,smooth process. Would have liked renewal cost and last years cost early on in the email. Posted version has this.

Telephone contact remains a requirement for those without IT skills including Aps.

Rias always keep me informed of everything.

I had a “ no fault” claim and everything went smoothly.
I was unsure whether to claim on my insurance or the
guilty party’s, but was told claiming on mine would ensure I got the fastest service and the best repair - not just the easiest or cheapest and as it was not my fault, my No Claims Bonus would not be affected.
My repair was handled quickly and fuss free.

Very smooth process from start to finish.

I’d never heard of RIAS insurance and honesty was apprehensive, but after every encounter they are by far the best customer service I’ve ever experienced and I’m old! lol if you’re lucky you’ll get a member of staff called Thabi, if you do, you’re in super safe hands! Thanks guys!

Unhelpful at changing the name on a policy

Entered my details on a comparison site . Rias fitted my needs so paid in one lump sum ... Now , just received a telephone call telling me there is a problem with dates and explained to me that ( according to them ) I had the vehicle since 2023 ( I actually acquired the vehicle in August 2026 ) and demanded more money ( this was 28 days after I paid my quote in full ) .
So they are demanding over £50 more and If I terminate policy I will be charged over £100 . Would I recommend RIAS ? NO WAY... Why should the customer pay for someone else's mistake . So have gone with another insurance provider and contacting back to get my payment back .
Upon reading the well deserved 1 star reviews . I see that I am not the only one that this has happened to !. After contacting this Company , it is like being in a playground full of 5 year old children , same script ,clearly not respecting customers .Same question ,"Do I want to cancel my Insurance ?.. what is the last 4 digits of your debit card to take payment !". My answer , "No I do not wish to cancel ( They would refund less that half of premium I already paid ). I have paid my policy in full already and that is that ! ." So if a mistake was made it is either the comparison site or RIAS themselves .
I know I will never use a comparison site again or online . Just use a telephone and speak to an actual person without 3rd parties .

I have since replied to the Validation team with my concerns over not sending out hard copy on my insurance agreement to check over . It was after the 14 day cooling off period that yourselves contacted me demanding more money . Now you threaten to take more money from me by cancelling my policy ! I have sought legal advice and will be contacting the Financial Ombudsman as you have failed the distance selling act and demanding payment with menaces

First off I can't give 5 stars as a had to call them a few days later as I did not receive my documents but all good now

DID A QUOTE LAST WEEK, WENT TO INSURE TODAY, GONE UP FROM 449.64 TO 914.00 AN INCREASE OF 203% AND WAS TOLD IT CAN CHANGE!!! DEFO NOT GOING WITH THESE RIP OFF PEOPLE, AND WHEN QUESTIONED ON THE PHONE THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED!!! AVOID
