Bought a car from Rockstar Motors recently and had a great experience. The team were professional, helpful, and made the whole pro cess simple and stress-free. Very pleased with both the vehicle and the service.

This company is nothing more than a cowboy operation. We were contacted by Rockstar motors to sell our car with them on sale on return, where the only fee payable would be a £1,000 commission charge which would only be payable and come off the sale once sold. We were advised that there were NO HIDDEN FEES and that we could continue to sell the car elsewhere and simply cancel our agreement at anytime. I told Rockstar motors that I was already selling the car through another dealership who were also advertising on Auto Trader, to which they said was “fine”.

They have since contacted me with threatening and unprofessional emails demanding that I pay them £2.5k for breaching my terms and conditions by selling through another broker. This includes a £1,000 cancellation fee which I was never once made aware of and then laughable and bloated advertising fees for things like Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and every social media platform that you can imagine. I am honestly surprised these jokers didn’t think to include MySpace and BEBO to the invoice as well!

I did some digging and it seems that the owner of this operation is Danny Nevil, who seems to be well known around Essex as “Scammy Devil”, having allegedly scammed hundreds of innocent people in multiple businesses over the years, including Universal Webdesign and Motor Brokers Essex, now known under their new alias of Rockstar. I implore you to look into the reviews of these businesses and Danny as a person before you too full victim. I am fortunate to have solicitors in the family who have helped guide me through this, however I can imagine that his intimidatory threats of court proceedings and bailiffs may work on many.

My boyfriend purchased a car from this dealership, and overall we found the staff to be friendly, approachable, and willing to help throughout the process. We appreciated the warm customer service, including the effort they made to offer a fair price and make us feel welcome.
There was a good selection of vehicles available, and the team was happy to answer questions and assist during the viewing process. The purchase was straightforward, and we were able to find a vehicle that suited our budget.

I had originally advertised the car privately on Auto Trader for £36,000 when I received a call from Peter at Rockstar Motors. He explained that, as a dealership, they would be able to market the vehicle more effectively and achieve a higher selling price. He suggested advertising it at £40,000 and showed me how, even after their fees, I would receive significantly more than I was asking privately. Naturally, I was sceptical at first, but Peter took the time to explain the process in detail and reassured me throughout. He pointed out that many buyers in this price range prefer to purchase using finance, something a private seller cannot offer, which made a lot of sense. I agreed to go ahead, and on 11th June Rockstar Motors arranged for my car to be collected on their transporter. The vehicle was professionally detailed and advertised the very next day. Peter sent me a link to the advert, and I was impressed to see it being marketed across multiple websites and social media platforms. The photographs, presentation, and description were all extremely professional. On 14th June, I received a call to say that the car had been sold and that the buyer would be collecting it on 15th June. The transaction was completed smoothly, and I am delighted with the return I received. The entire process was straightforward, professional, and completely stress-free. I wanted to provide an update regarding the concerns I previously raised about Rockstar Motors on Google.
When I first shared my experience, I had several questions and concerns about certain aspects of the sales process, including some of the charges involved. At the time, I felt frustrated and uncertain because I did not fully understand the details, and this led me to form a negative impression of the situation.
Since then, I have taken the time to review the matter more carefully and have had further discussions to gain a better understanding of the circumstances. During this process, the issues that I was concerned about were explained in greater detail, and I was given the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification where needed.
After considering all of the information available to me, I can confirm that I did not find any evidence of wrongdoing or dishonest conduct. In hindsight, it appears that a number of the concerns arose from misunderstandings and a lack of communication rather than any intentional issue on the part of the business.
I appreciate the efforts that were made to address my concerns and provide additional clarification. The communication I received helped me better understand the situation and allowed me to view the matter from a more informed perspective.
As a result, I now consider the matter fully resolved and have no outstanding concerns. I believe it is only fair to provide this update so that others are aware that my initial concerns have since been addressed and clarified.

Truly shocking company. Same approach as others, my car was for sale on Autotrader and they called me to sell on my behalf for £1000. I too said it was still for sale privately and was reassured that it was fine.

I sold it a couple of days later myself privately only to face a £1000 bill to collect my car despite them not selling it. Staff were rude and aggressive at all levels.

Ignored all trading and consumer law relating to cooling off periods and contract regulations. They will claim they provide a bespoke service which requires no cooling off period but this requires a standalone contract that outlines all elements of "bespoke" which of course they do not provide.

They rely on bullying customers into paying large amounts to release cars citing lien law as a reason to not give your property back to you.

Currently going through the Courts to reclaim my money. If you do pay to get your car back, ensure you pay under protest and get a signed statement to that effect from them which is your legal start point to recover your money.

Google the following if you intend to take them to court:

1. The Misrepresentation Act 1967.
2. Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
3. Consumer Rights Act 2015 (in relation to cooling off periods).
4. Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Act 2024.
5. Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
6. Section 11(1) of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
7. Core Contract Law Principles derived from Common Law.

Rockstar Motors really made my selling experience much easier than i thought , at first i was a bit skeptical about the costs but once they explained it to me when i was down at their dealership it really made me feel comfortable about selling my car , their communication wasnt the best at the beginning when i was dealing with dan hugo but then one of the other boys started contacting me every week and updating me on the situation with my car , in the end i got more than what i was selling it for privately and it was much quicker than i expected

I found a car at rockstar motors called them and they came across professional on the phone. They gave the impression they were a big outfit, there website shows them as a showroom. They even state they have a lot of celebs visit them and that we should ask permission to take pictures with them. I wanted to go there and look at the car. They asked for £1000 deoosit to reserve it as I was an hour away. I refused to do that and agreed £100 deposit. When we got there, the car wasn't ready to view or test drive. Couldn't see a showroom it was just like a car park. We was then walked to there showroom which was a shed. Kids were changing batteries on high end cars, there was a customer there wanting his money back and it all just didn't feel or look right. We spoke to the manager danny Nevill the so called entrepreneur, more like the biggest con artist I've ever met. We wanted our deposit back and that's when the fun started. Never got it back despite having to contact them off of different phones so that they answer, still no deposit. I urge anyone who's thinking of dealing with these people to walk away, do not give your car or any money as you won't see it again. I have reported them to trading standards and the FCA. These people should be prosecuted for fraud. KEEP AWAY FROM THESE MUPPETS.

Where to start, you have kids showing you motors, an angry customer on site, customers screaming down the phone. On their website it states ‘do not approach the many celebrities, politicians, royal family that you will see on site’ reality they operate out of a shed!!! They will take deposits, then when you see the car and the shambles that they call a business, they don’t pick up the phone, when you call on a different number, they tell you they will contact the accounts department. I feel sorry for anyone parting with hard earned money, the two Danny’s who run this place will either spend it on Botox or steroids, this is clearly obvious when you have the misfortune to run into the con artists.
