All good from a delivery and product perspective, the only thing which stopped me giving a 5 was it would have been good to have had some form of personal confirmation that petrol and oil had been added to the mower and that it had been tested and adjusted for optimal performance

Pleasant and helpful staff delivery a nightmare

Item was due for delivery 3/4/5 August. These dates were requested as I have hospital appointments and treatment in July. I started getting text messages about item out for delivery etc and got concerned that my delivery dates were not being adhered to. I made a call to you and your agent informed me that my delivery dates of 3/4/5 August would be maintained as per my request on placing the order. Appearently these text are just internal memos and the item will be delivered as requested on 3/4/5 August. I was surprised to get a text from Palletways on Monday morning 20th July stating delivery was imminent! A again called you and spoke to your agent on this matter and he told me he would contact the delivery contractor and re arrange delivery on the appropriate days. I asked to be kept updated. I was not. At approx 14.45hrs on 20th July a Rammage haulage truck arrived at my house with the delivery. The driver called me and wanted to drop the heavy package! I explained I was at the hospital and unable to take delivery. I also informed him of the 3/4/5 August delivery dates. I viewed this from my phone in the hospital as it’s linked to my cctv system. This appears to be a total breakdown of communications on delivery and I believe I’m intitled to a full explanation and apology. I again repete the original delivery instructions: 3/4/5 August. Please confirm that will be carried. I’m really disappointed and been put to additional stress on this matter. Regards, walter

Really great service from initial order to final installation.

A week after being told my order had left the warehouse I have still neither received the goods nor any communication from the nominated carrier (FedEx) to suggest when delivery might take place. On the same day I placed an order with a US firm for goods which have managed to cross the Atlantic, clear customs and be delivers to me. Really not good enough on the part of Ron Smith Ltd.

True to word Ron did deliver on 20th July so customer now happy. Lesson to be learned here is clarity of communication. Had the invoice I received specified a local delivery (rather than referring to 3rd party carrier) or if Ron Smith had contacted me to say this was now to be local delivery I would have been reassured instead of which I became increasingly frustrated by the inability of a third party carrier to find any trace of a delivery - not surprising given they had not been contracted to deliver in the first place!
