I became executor of my sister's estate and needed to sell two properties, which formed the majority of the estate. An added complication was I lived 250 miles away from the properties, so need someone dependable in the locality.
Ryder and Dutton did an absolutely fabulous job, from the very start when I was visited by the manager, Graham Shuttleworth, whose professionalism led me to believe his company were the one to use, rather than one of the other two local agents that also undertook a valuation for the properties.
Had we not used Ryder and Dutton, I don't believe we would have sold one of the properties to this date.
There were many legal complications, which caused setbacks, but R&D helped by providing details of local specialists and chasing up solicitors to keep the sale "live". The sales executive dealing with the sale (Matt Walsh) was superb in keeping all concerned updated and tackling problems as and when they emerged.
I generally don't bother posting reviews, but in view of the standard of service I received, I am pleased to thoroughly recommend their services.

I rented a house from Ryder and Dutton for 2 years. During this time I had the pleasure of dealing with Sarah Green. Such a lovely and friendly lady. Very helpful and always there for you. Great asset to the company.

Matt did a great job for us on our sale and purchase. He really worked hard to ensure the chain remained intact and completed before the rise in stamp duty. This was a long chain and nearly collapsed a couple of times but he held it together and ensured the solicitors were communicating effectively.

Matt and Megan helped us throughout the process of buying the house. They were always available to talk via phone and emails. They went above and beyond with their service and made the process smooth for us.

This is such a good branch to deal with. All the staff are very responsive and helpful. The manager, Graham, is very approachable, considerate and helpful but never a hard sell. John who does viewings is excellent too. He always makes the property welcoming by arriving early and opening curtains etc, and is informative but not pushy. The Rawtenstall branch of Ryder & Dutton makes buying and selling property a smooth and professional process.

Sarah and Jack from lettings have been amazing with me. I was moving out and got health complications. Both Jack and Sarah moved the Earth to accommodate my needs and help me out including allowing my tenancy to continue till I was ready. Jack even came and picked my keys up as I couldn't drive. He was great with me and fully understood my health issues. Sarah has done so much for me over the years of my tenancy and been very supportive over my health. Many times she's done way more than I could ever have asked for. She even has offered to help bring me supplies when I've been so poorly. Such kind, sweet souls both of them. I have helped my mum sell and buy a new home with help at Rawtenstall’s Ryder & Dutton over the past 18 months.

Although this process has taken longer than we wanted due to mum breaking her hip on holiday so her house had to be taken of the market for a year, Graham and his team have kept the lines of communication open, even just checking in that mum was ok.

Mum has sold her home and has now had an offer accepted, finding a new home for mum has been somewhat a testing period however all the team we dealt with, from booking the viewings, to being shown round have been understanding and accommodating to our needs (I have had to reschedule do to child care and work commitments).
Compared to other estate agents we viewed with, team Ryder & Dutton (mainly Susan, Matt, Jamie and Adam) were professional and friendly with the right sense of humour, which I needed.
