Salt and cleanz Avaliações 

I am please to say that Salt and Cleanz arranged for my order (plus two extra salt packs) to be delivered today.

The company delivery driver called me to let me know that there were many Harvey salt blocks if I would take them instead of the Kinetico ones that were out of stock (which I ordered on 2nd December).

So I have now received my order of 25 blocks and two free extra.

Thank you kindly for your prompt actioning of my complaint.

I will continue to order from Salt and Cleanz and recommend them to others.

Delivery was quicker than I expected as the company had stated that there was a shortage of salt. so far the blocks have been undamaged.

Order cancelled due to failure to deliver within 3 weeks. Amazon, a little more expensive, delivered in 2 days!

Always reliable and competitive prices

The blocks arrived quickly which is really useful for us in such a hard water area. They weren't the lowest price but were certainly competitive and the fact that delivery was hassle free was significant. I will use this company again.

I feel it is quite important to review this company honestly, as I believe they are in breach of all sorts of commercial laws. And so I am doing so in some considerable detail. .

Customers should be aware that SaltandCleanz have no respect for contracts. In my case they entered a contract to deliver a large-ish quantity of water softener salt. They accepted the order, I paid. Offer, acceptance and consideration were all present. At this point we had a contract under English law.

A day later they sent me an automated order cancellation with the following cover note, which I reproduce verbatim including typos:
“With regret this order has been cancelled and full refund issues.

We no longer operate W5 area.”

They claimed that they couldn’t fulfil the order as my postcode was outside their area.

However, on their website they promise ‘UK Wide Delivery’ (they still do as of this writing- see screenshot)

Even if they do not deliver in my area, they needed to contact me to set aside the commercial contract. They cannot do so unilaterally- not under contract law in England and Wales.

In fact it was I who tried to reach out to them to understand what had happened. I made three calls and they were not put through . Having left messages , the sales lead finally called me back late in the evening. He basically dared me to give the company a one star rating on Trustpilot saying, and I quote , ‘if it makes you feel better’ Those were his exact words. It never occurred to him that this was not about me feeling better, but rather about warning others.

I made a detailed complaint in writing , copying the sales lead’s managing directors at SaltandCleanz’s parent company inviting them to engage with me to find an amicable solution. Nobody replied. I followed up three days later. Again, nobody replied.

So I was left no option but share my experience.

At this point, I have instituted a legal process to get them to honour the contract. That will take its course. In the meantime I felt it was important for any potential customers to know that (1) they don’t care about customers or reputation, and (2) more importantly they play fast and loose with contracts.

I have looked at the negative reviews for this company and have noticed that one of their deflection tactics responding to poor reviews is to tell the reviewer ‘you always give bad reviews anyway’ . In my case , they can’t say this. All my reviews are either 5 star (where excellent service should be promoted) or 1 star (where terrible service should be shared for the betterment of customers). And in fact the 5 star reviews are substantially more.

Whilst my legal action proceeds, I invite other customers to reconsider dealing with this company.
