This is a scam. There has to be a monsoon to get a payout. It doesn't take much rain to diminish a camping trip. However it is 1230pm and the second bout of cool rain has begun thus grounding the kids to the camper for the 5th hour today. No payout though. The money spent would have better been spent on lottery tickets with similar odds...lesson learned....

I had my doubts about insuring against rain in SE Alaska but my Sensible Weather experience was great! They stayed in touch with me throughout the duration of my trip. I fortunately had good weather so didn't experience any refund but I'm certainly NOT complaining! I would use this company again on future trips with no worries...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It rained the entire day we stayed at Windy Goat Acres. I was told that I could still participate in the overnight camp and would be either partially or fully refunded if it rained enough. Despite being soaked, we weren’t compensated anything. We had to cancel out outing due to rain as well. So frustrating!

There are only TWO methods for payout: Either provide complete personal banking info including bank name and location, account name, account number, and routing number (and provide this online!) OR have a PayPal account. And ALL communication is done by fake A-i emailing...ALL! AND they overload you with emails (which they consider 'updates') which simply clouds and blurs dates, times, claims and clarity. Very poor business model.

Love the ability to get some money back from our events that can be effected or cancelled by the weather. Love the service! We recently were rained out camping and instantly received money back. So easy!

It was a simple process and I didn’t have to do anything other than purchase the guarantee.

The first day of our stay it poured so hard the streets were flooded. The next day brought a lighter rain, but we had to get out of the pool. We had forgotten that we purchased the Sensible Weather plan, so it made us smile when we saw the notification of our payout. We did not have to do anything, our payout was sent to us directly and we were notified by email. Thank you!

This was the first time I have used Sensible weather protection for camping and will 100% be using again! We camped for Memorial Day weekend and the weather forecast was mixed. Figured for the low cost would try out sensible. It was an amazing process, super easy and straight forward guidelines.

The option for Sensible Weather coverage came up during the reservation process for our hotel, I had never heard of this concept but it seemed to be a reasonable rate so we included it. I did not expect the informative communication we received, an email was sent prior to the trip with info to know, updates were sent each day during the trip on whether the weather qualified or not, and how it was calculated. It turns out we did have the amount of rain to qualify on one of our days and Sensible Weather communicated very well, they initiated the reimbursement at the end of that day, no effort on our part was needed other than to designate the payment to PayPal or a bank account. We will definitely use Sensible Weather again.

This service worked exactly as advertised, promptly and courteously. I did not have to chase anyone at all.

My refund was offered proactively and promptly.

Every hotel or resort in a weather-dependent value should offer it and guests wisely should avail themselves of the service. A brilliant idea.

I had never heard of this before but decided to try it with my first reservation at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island since I knew that the May weather could be iffy. And it was. The insurance came through. The quickness and ease of the payout totally surprised me. I was getting emails about the weather during the day and finally it came through. I have told all my friends about it. Reasonably priced and a good thing to have.

Sensible weather was a great way to ensure that we either had good weather to embark on outdoor activities during our vacation or we saved some of the cost. Adding this to ur campsite reservations was super easy too!

We booked our trip to New Orleans and it offered us the weather guarantee but we declined it. Then we got to looking at the weather and decided to go back and get it because the weather for the week was looking pretty poor. Best decision! I recommend getting the protection when you book your trips. It will be worth the investment. It paid 2 days of our trip and we used the funds to go out a couple extra nights for dinner. Great service offering! Proactive following of the weather and determining when the weather impacted our travel. We were so impressed! Excellent customer service.

I would not recommend this company.
1) They say they give you peace of mind. They do not pay the nightly rate at a KOA campground. They give you a prorated rate, 30% less than the nightly rate. My nightly rate was 51.00 and they offered me 21.00. Then up it to 42. Again, less than I paid. I paid 26.00 for the 171.00 3-night bill - almost 20%
2) They do not credit you back on the credit card you paid on; they want your bank account number or PayPal. Paypal has many fraud issues, and why would you give them acess to your bank account info.

They do not care, and it is a rip off.
