I had several small purchases and was fine, not until I made a large purchase. I received the initial cashback confirmation email, but they secretly removed it later and rejected it again even I emailed their support. I want to tell people to stay away from this site, especially for making big purchases.
UNETHICAL RIP OFF!
UPDATE: they say cashback was rejected due to "bot-like" behavior. Which means using shopback both from laptop and phone (so i have to be shopping either from phone or laptop ONLY to be eligible for game cashback. The things companies invent to rip you off. LOL)

Just DONT.
For a moment I had a feeling this was something useful, as I managed to collect 70 dollars (including 40 for signing up). Which was nice.
But then the fun started.
I downloaded some games and played them, consistently, for over a month to reach higher levels and earn the promised money. Even invested a little of my own money to move further. But then I see that the part of the app to access games is NOT working, the customer service is "trying to understand what is the issue" for more than a week.
Then I open the app and see that all previous cashbacks for ALL games I have played are rejected (even if I played them directly opening them from Shopback app).
I want to send in a dispute, but the claims form does not work - either you upload a picture, or nothing (you can not write any text).
I sent an email explaining all this and no answer (now its been several days already). I am very frustrated, will delete it as soon as I receive cash out (assuming and hoping that I will lol).

Still haven't received my New User Sign-up bonus to my PayPal. I've been waiting since January because it took fricking 45 days to confirm all the surveys I did. First withdraw only took 2 days to hit my PayPal, technically 1 day but I don't understand why the extra 24 hour wait. That's absolutely retarded.
Initiated withdraw and received confirmation email same day February 28. Which I had to wait almost a week to get that part done.
Don't ask me if I did what's required because YEA I DID!
NOW WHERE IS MY BONUS? Is it taking the scenic route through the grand canyon in a stagecoach?

Started of well. Tracked, paid out, even offered bonus quests. Now, everything is rejected with some generic excuse. Take whatever money they owe you and run!!! That's what I did.

Everything went wrong, but nothing more than their customer service. It seems to be set up for the sole purpose of making you give up.
They asked for information that wasn't available anywhere, sent me in wild goose chases for dates and confirmation numbers that were not there. And to make it worse, you cant look for them without leaving chat and starting over.
All the games quit tracking after a few days.
Absolute Garbage
Would give zero stars if I could. Saw that every offer pends for 5 days or so and didn't prioritize it.
After I emailed about missing rewards in September, they stopped replying in October. Earlier this week, in February, I get an email apologizing for the delay and offering a $5 credit as a token of good faith.
She explained that they have to hold rewards in case of fraud or chargeback, which makes no sense because even GPT services that do pend rewards, its usually only a couple days. Not months.
When I went to confirm that goodwill credit, it had the same "meet criteria/pend for days" thing as a reward from a merchant/game would... despite it coming from SHOPBACK. Not a merchant or game. It's been 4 days and it still says it confirms in 5 days.
Absolutely a scam. I'd say they sit on the money as capital for some other purpose and bank on people either giving up or forgetting.

Shopback sucks. I've been using them for about 6 months & only have $7 to cash out. This includes Christmas purchases. It takes them MONTHS to confirm purchases & they do a horrible job at tracking them which means you are not getting ALL the cashback you're supposed to. I was supposed to get $25 bonus sign up which I've never seen. I'm going back to Capital One cashback.
Worst online business I've ever used
Worst online business I've ever used. Been waiting on confirmation for cashback 2 months now. Unable to reach any human. You can waste your time with an unhelpful A.I. though. Find a legit and proven cashback service to engage with. Leave this trash mfs and their app on the side of the street for the trash man to pick up. Crazy how trash these folks are. Crazy.
Bad tracking, poor customer service
ShopBack advertises good “upsized” Cashback %, but as their tracking is bad, and customer service is poor, it is difficult to get cashback honoured. The experience is much worse than CashRewards, where it was easier to claim missing cashback and customer service was responsive. Avoid.

Ich habe mich am 10. August 2025 bei Shopback.de registriert, angelockt von dem hohen Cashback-Angebot.
Ich habe anschließend 2 Male dasselbe Gerät über einen Link von Shopback.de bei einem AliExpress-Shop ("Xiaomi Yuopin Store") bestellt.
Die erste Bestellung erfolgte am 10. August 2025 um 17:29 Uhr mit der Bestellnummer 3058730971721815 und einem Preis von 302,83 €.
Die zweite Bestellung erfolgte am 10. August 2025 um 18:42 Uhr mit der Bestellnummer 3058734656775568 und ebenfalls einem Preis von 302,83 €.
Zunächst hatte Shopback.de die Bestellnummern versehentlich um eine Ziffer vertauscht; sie sollten 3058730971711815 und 3058734656765568 lauten. Zweitens betrugen die Kosten für jeden Einkauf 295,82 €. Es ist unklar, ob die Fehler beabsichtigt waren.
Letztendlich habe ich für jeden Fall folgende Mitteilungen vom Dienst erhalten:

• Der Partnershop schließt bestimmte Käufe aus.
Ich würde es ja glauben, aber vor diesen 2 Käufen habe ich dasselbe Gerät etwa 10 Mal im selben AliExpress-Shop "Xiaomi Yuopin Store" über Cashback-Anbieter "igraal.com" gekauft und jedes Mal eine Belohnung 10% von ihn erhalten.
Meiner Meinung nach; Shopback.de ist ein betrügerischer Anbieter, der Kunden mit hohen Cashback-Angeboten anlockt und sie dann abzockt. Finger weg!

Ich möchte meine Bewertung aktualisieren, weil mein Anliegen inzwischen vollständig gelöst wurde. Nachdem ich meinen Empfehlungsbonus nicht erhalten hatte, hat sich das ShopBack-Team sehr freundlich bei mir gemeldet, sich entschuldigt und das Problem schnell geprüft. Der Bonus wurde mir anschließend direkt gutgeschrieben. 💚
Der Kundenservice war sehr hilfsbereit und transparent, und ich freue mich wirklich, dass alles so unkompliziert geklappt hat. Vielen Dank an das Team für die Unterstützung!

Unethical Platform
ShopBack is an unreliable company that should be investigated by the authorities. If you notice carefully, most higher-value purchases often go untracked. When you raise the issue, they’ll either claim it’s past their 30-day claim window or say the item isn’t eligible for cashback, even when their own T&Cs didn’t exclude it.
What’s worse is their handling of missing cashback claims. They first ask you to provide all the purchase details, then require you to manually enter every single one of them into their platform, one by one, because they won’t assist you. Imagine having over 100 items in a single order and being forced to submit 100 separate entries manually. It’s unreasonable, inefficient, and shows a complete lack of responsibility for their own system errors.
Their business ethics are highly questionable. They fail to track purchases, especially large-value ones, make users do all the work to correct their mistakes, and then restrict further submissions after just two missing cashback claims.
This is extremely disappointing and unethical for a platform that claims to reward users but instead punishes them for trusting it.

I want to share my experience with ShopBack as I believe it’s important for other users to be aware of how certain situations are handled. This might help prevent similar issues or prepare others if they face the same problem.
The Situation: I have an account with ShopBack, a platform that offers cashback for online purchases from participating merchants. My account was locked due to “suspicious activities.” After my first contact with customer support, I received the following response:
“Hi, Thank you for your message. Our system has flagged that there may have been a self-referral, as you and the referred person seem to have used the same device. Do you have any more information regarding this? Just to let you know: each customer is allowed only one account linked to a single device. Thank you and have a nice day. ShopBack Customer Service”
I clarified that the use of the same device was simply due to my sister and I sharing the device, and we only use one account. Despite this, my account was locked without further clarification.
Later, on October 14, 2025, I received another response stating that “suspicious activities” had been detected, but it did not provide a clear solution or explain how my account could be restored:
“Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience. Your account has been temporarily locked due to suspicious activities. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to contact us – we are happy to assist you. Have a nice day. ShopBack Customer Service”
Currently, I have around €300 in my ShopBack account, which I am unable to withdraw or use since my account remains locked. Despite several inquiries and detailed explanations, I have not received a solution.
Why I’m Sharing This: I want to warn everyone to be cautious if you have an account with ShopBack. It seems that their customer service responds with very standard, unhelpful messages, without addressing the actual problems of the customers. From everything I’ve experienced, I believe this could be a scam where customers systematically lose their funds. I strongly advise you to always withdraw your balance immediately to protect yourself from such situations.
If you’re looking for a reliable alternative, I highly recommend Shoop. I’ve been using it for over 7 years and have never had any issues. The customer service is reliable, and I’ve always been able to access my funds without any problems.
If anyone else has had a similar experience or knows a solution, I’d appreciate hearing from you.

Truly awful
Truly awful. I use Honey and Shopback and Honey is far superior in that I get points!!! Shopback is constantly not giving points for any and every excuse. Absolutely nothing on eBay will work regardless if I use a credit card or pay via PayPal. No coupons. No Discounts. Large amounts of money spent. And NOTHING. AWFUL!!!

Scam, listed 10% then after your purchase it tracked 0.7%..what a big Lier, complaint to them then they reply not all seller give 10% in this case 0.7% was what we offer, then the problem is why you Shopback list it at 10% at first?

Tried to withdraw my cashback three times — every attempt failed with no clear reason.
-Reached out to customer service, but all I got was vague, unhelpful responses.
-Still waiting on the result of my fourth attempt — no update yet.
-Honestly, I’m done. I won’t be shopping with them again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely a hoax
Absolutely a hoax. Upon purchasing, I have a ShopBack loyalty cash to use with an expiration stamp on it. It can only be used at assigned stores. I went to the store just to be rejected by the sales personnel that they no longer are in collaboration with ShopBack. So basically, the cashback is non refundable or redeemable. Customer service is a bot that never actually helps with connecting you to an agent either. After sending a ticket and waiting for longer (48hours longer) than the set time frame which is 1-2days, there was still no reply or updates of any agent. I would personally say that it’s definitely a huge flop. You’d be wasting time and efforts and even petrol in my case just to think you can ever redeem the cashback.
No complaints support and steals money.

Kundenservice reagiert erst nach mehrmaligen Aufforderungen auf englisch, chat und email. Allerdings keinerlei Email mit Entschuldigung oder sonstige "human interface" - es werden die beiden emails geschickt zum Freischalten des Auszahlungskontos und Paypal und damit ist die Sache erledigt? Gut klar, aber die feine Art ist das nicht!
