What a disappointment. The beef was beautiful so were the staff. Unfortunately the flat Yorkshire pudding which was also soggy, lack of any type of vegetable was very disappointing. There was a little teaspoon of something purée. A desert spoon of vegetables. Beef for some bizarre reason draped over the tiny portion of veg. Asked for some more veg and gravy. Charged £4.95 for another desert spoon of greens and £1.50 for a small jug of gravy. Won’t be popping back anytime soon. Will go back to my normal hide out as beef is equally good but they serve a great veg and gravy offering.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Delicious beef and came very quickly.

But why did you tell us you only had space, on some small uncomfortable chairs, in the bar when there were tables free all the time we were there in the main part of the restaurant?

Definitely though would have Sunday lunch there again.

Recently visited for a family meal with my parents and daughter we were given outstanding service especially by Martin, Yona and Oli thank you so much for a exquisite evening the food was out of this world and the beer and wine complements it even further the service was genuinely flawless thank you to all the team we will be back!!!

I visited the Shurlock Inn for the first time recently. I'd wanted to try it out as I'd read good things about it. It was a birthday celebration so wanted something a bit special. I visited for lunch with 2 friends. The venue, food and the 2 individuals who served us was all lovely. We had a few cocktails and ended up passing the afternoon there. They then ran out of 2 cocktail ingredients which they sent some to get. It took a while and so my friend, admittedly somewhat cheekily, asked the manager for a free round of cocktails to make up for the delay. His response astounded me and is why I didn't give 5 stars. He told my friend ," you've had your free drinks with the extra alcohol we put in the last round"!. I can't help but conclude that was rude and not very friendly. Given our bill was over £300 I was less than impressed. Disappointing end to the afternoon. The other feedback is to avoid the tin of nuts on the bar.... After watching the senior barman put his hand in and eat a mouthful. Shame as overall a lovely place.
