I would never have completed the forms
I would never have completed the forms. Losing our winter fuel allowance last year really annoyed me. I had never claimed anything and struggled for years with health issues and managed somehow to keep working at a low level. I retired wrecked but struggled on grateful for what i had. I have a number of disabilities that have got worse over time and additional ones. They helped me complete the forms with kindness and time . I can't thank them enough for their help. Recommend without hesitation.

Unethical organisation, preying on the most vulnerable people in our society. Seek support elsewhere and for FREE.
I work in a support capacity for vulnerable people. I was appalled to learn today that this organisation has charged a 69 year old veteran £1000+ to complete an attendance allowance application on his behalf. Whilst he was awarded the higher level, there are many organisations that assist people for free with these types of things (for eg Age UK, Citizens Advice, Carers UK etc). I find this organisation unethical, and believe that it is preying on the most vulnerable people in our society.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand why paying for support with a benefit application can raise strong feelings, particularly when the individuals involved may be older or vulnerable.
We want to be clear that our service is entirely optional. From the outset and throughout the process, we clearly and repeatedly explain our fees, and we also make it clear that Attendance Allowance can be applied for independently without using a paid service. Clients only proceed once they have confirmed they understand this and wish to continue.
Our service is designed for people who want specialist, hands-on support with what many find to be a complex and overwhelming application. We spend significant time gathering detailed information, asking structured eligibility questions, and ensuring applications are completed accurately and comprehensively in line with DWP guidance.
As a result of this expertise:
-We increase the likelihood of a successful award to around 96%
-Over 80% of our clients are awarded the higher rate
Many clients seek us out specifically for reassurance, accuracy, and to reduce stress during the process
In terms of cost, our fee is 18% of the first year’s award (including VAT). Attendance Allowance is an ongoing benefit, and many clients continue to receive it for several years. For example, a higher-rate award can exceed £10,000 over two years, with no further fees payable beyond the first year. When viewed in this context, many clients feel the cost represents value for the level of support provided.
We take transparency, consent, and professionalism seriously, and clients are never pressured to proceed. Our intention is not to exploit vulnerability, but to offer a clear, paid alternative for those who want expert support and choose to use it.
