Unauthorized Upgrade Scam

I rented a car from Warsaw Airport. We prepaid for mid size SUV. When we got the car, it was a Volvo. When we returned the car, they charged us almost 1200 EUR extra for an upgrade. We never requested an upgrade, nor anyone ever mentioned that we were being upgraded. Now they claim that our signature on the documents means we agreed to this expensive upgrade. We signed an electronic pad and nobody showed us the charges. We thought that we are just confirming what was booked and prepaid in advance. They produced 2 different documents with our signature in different spots, where we only signed once. It looks like they are using the electronic signature to put it anywhere it is convenient for them. What a scam!!!! Even if they did not have a car that we booked, they should have given us a substitute for free. The thing is that they did not even mention that we are receiving an upgrade. If they did, we would have definitely refused it. We are disputing the charge with our Credit Card company.

Normally booking cars through Sixt but very disappointed on this occasions. 1 assistant serving. Service slow. Booked a Mercedes GLE weeks in advanced been offered Skoda Superb. At the same already high rate. Avoid - plenty of options at the airport.

Sixt Customer Services in Poland have been contacted and provided an opportunity to rectify the issue. They went as far as preventing me from cancelling the reservation, even though, they originally refused to provide the car type booked.

We have arrived on Friday and we have a wedding to go to we have to wait for a Agent mr.Patryk which turns up really late wasn't a good start already and then got worse our booking was for my wife and credit card was on my name and he wouldn't accept the reservation absolutely disgusting same surname married together on the airport, but he was happy to do another reservation with my name on it just to charge more money absolutely disgusting. Shame absolutely Shame

Samochód wypożyczony w Gironie, luksusowy. Na karcie zablokowane środki jako gwarancja. Po oddaniu samochodu w środku nocy, informacja, że wszystko ok odblokowanie pieniądze a potem zabrana cała suma. Zastaw nie oddany, ciągle słyszymy kolejne wymówki: przelew spóźniony bo bank w innym kraju...itp. ale jak pobrać pieniądze to nie było przeszkód! teraz już nie chcą z nami rozmawiać. Odradzam, oszukali nas na ponad 500 euro!

SCAMMERS!

Sixt Krakow airport doesn't even deserve one star. You will probably get scammed!!! Stay away!
They pushed on me some old damage or falsified it just to rip me off.
They blamed it on...rodents!
Beware and if you really must use car rental, check opinions before rental.
The money is taken from my card, but I will at least do all my best to warn others. Save your nerves and use another company.

1 day rental 3,6k! No deposit return & engine damage charges

I had a nightmare experience with Sixt in Poland. After an accidental misfueling, instead of helping me transparently, its already 2nd month we are trying to get our money back.

The car was taken away and I was suddenly told the entire engine had to be replaced – an absurd claim for what was clearly a drain-and-flush situation, there were x3 payments taken from our card and 4th was the deposit which according to them was released. As of right now, more than 3,6k has been charged for one day rental.

According to them, deposit has been released, but since July 20, our bank cannot see any payment.

Customer service was completely unhelpful, especially A.B. and instead of trying to solve the case she said: “Thins is our final respond in this case.” - 10/10 experience, just shut the client down and move on!
 
This is not how a global rental company should operate. I strongly warn anyone considering renting with Sixt Poland: they will look for any excuse to keep your deposit and inflate damages. I will be reporting this case to consumer protection authorities.

This the worst rental company in Warsaw Poland!!!! Everything that the people below wrote about, I was scammed with!!! My car was prepaid. When I got there, they changed my car to a lower class and said that I did it!!! False!! I needed that specific car due to needing to drive on an automatic and with space for 9 people (family). Then they did a $700 unknown charge hold (would not take it off until I disputed it with the credit card company) and charged me $1266 for unknown "damages"!! And like everyone else said, 5 days later after my car was returned in spotless condition, I was charged that huge amount! I have been battling with them and my credit card company for 3 months. Impossible to get in touch with customer service and they never reply. Credit card company cannot dispute it with them (and they have tried multiple times on my behalf), since I signed the paperwork that I'm responsible for "damages". DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!! THE WORST COMPANY OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Scamming people!

UWaga na Sixt w Czarnogórze na Lotnisku

Moja opinia dotyczy sieci Sixt a wypożyczalni w Czarnogórze na Lotnisku. Przestrzegam przed tą firmą:
Skandaliczne zachowanie pracowników firmy Sixt w Podgoricy. Samochód wypożyczony z dodatkowym ubezpieczeniem od szkód - tj. zniesienie udziału własnego w powstałych szkodach. Zatem wypożyczony bez oględzin. Dodatkowo podczas wypożyczenia informacja o tym aby paliwem się nie przejmować, czyli podać nie uzupełniając paliwa do pełna ponieważ oni - pracownicy firmy Sixt - zatankują taniej bez lokalnego podatku.
Przy podaniu samochodu wmówiono mi, że uszkodziłem zderzak, czego oczywiście nie zrobiłem. Ale cóż, mam dodatkowe ubezpieczenie zatem nie powinno być problemu. I tu kolejna niespodzianka. Wykupione dodatkowe ubezpieczenie nie zadziała, ponieważ wg pracownika Sixt nie wezwałem policji do uszkodzenia. Ale jak mogłem, skoro nie uszkodziłem a poza tym nawet jakbym przypadkowo uszkodził to po co wzywać policję? Wyłudzenie w biały dzień. Zatem mimo wykupionego dodatkowego ubezpiecznie i tak potrącono mi z kaucji 700 EUR - czyli całą kaucję za uszkodzenie którego nie zrobiłem. Obsługa strasznie chamska, widać że tylko szukają pretekstu do wyłudzenia pieniędzy. OMIJAĆ szerokim łukiem tą wypożyczalnie. NIE POLECAM! Jakbym mógł dałbym -5*

Nie zwracają depozytu

Zamiast hyundaia 30 zaproponowali niesprawne audi. Kiedy nie dało się uruchomić zamienili na vw taigo. Minął już tydzień od zwrotu auta - nadal nie zwrócili depozytu, a dzisiaj obciążyli mnie extra 37 euro.

I rent a car in Sixt Gdansk airport, after i return the car, they take 180kr danish kroner, because they say I didnt return any parking ticket, i did take pictur of it, they do this to time i rent a car, i did make ekstra insurance, so couldnt scam me, after this to time i rent again, i show the Sixt worker the pictur, he Said he Will help me returning the money, and Sixt only writte one mail, and say they only charge me one time, i am still waiting for my money.
They are Good at scaming people

DO NOT BE the next victim of SIXT WARSAW AIRPORT

I booked a car (1 single day) at SIXT Warsaw Airport to expect a high level of service but I finally got an awfull experience : 3 days ater the return of the car (without NO NEW DAMAGE mentionned) I received an invoice of 270€ !! for a damage noticed afterwards by the local agency, they said. The pictures show the engine and apparently some scratches on a plastic pipe, due to an animal ??!! I completely desagree with that type of claim which was not controlled before neither after with me. Above all if this particular damage occures often, the agency should point it out, you have failed in your duty to advise. It really seems that this damage was looked for or it is a fake one. !?

As I was still in Warsaw I visited again the sixt Agency to get information but the local employee was rude and he just gave us the tel. number of the costumer service. This costumer service just told me to write an email. I am now waiting a positive answer from SIXT . I do hope that SIXT will recognize that this method and type of claim is unacceptable.

As a very frequent traveller for business and leisure all over the world, I am cautious and I have never been charged for any damage.

Firstly I hardly believe in that damage during MY rent (the car was parked some hours in a brand new garage in Warsaw Place, there is no report of attacks by animals inside other engines in that place, and the rest of the time I was just driving without long stops), secondly despite of the contractual conditions I consider that this type of control and damage reported are totally out of a professional rent a car company, no need to be a lawyer to feel that.

But by the way, isn't this some kind of revenge because I didn't subscribe to their insurance (50€ per day for the minimum package!!)???

SIXT odradzam

Booking: 9717236658- zapłaciłem ponad 1300 EUR chciaż miałem na potwierdzeniu total 559EUR odradzam. Zgodziłem się na zwiększenie ubezpieczenia ale to w dalszym ciągu nie wyjaśnia całkowitej kwoty.
Dopisali też jakiś podatek VAT, Premium Location Fee oraz Rental days . Powinienem odmówić wzięcia samochodu ale zmęczony podróżą na lotnisku niestety wziąłem samochód Wysłałem maila na ich customer serwis ale jak kamień w wodę.

Unique fois avec cette agence

Nous avons loué un véhicule a l'aéroport de Varsovie en Janvier dernier. Après avoir donné les informations suite a notre réservation prise sur un site autre, l'hôtesse nous a fait signer le contrat de location que je n'ai jamais reçu par mail et après elle nous a parlé d'une assurance parmi 3 choix. Nous avons été surprises de sa demande... Au bout de quelques minutes incompréhension mutuelles et dans un anglais de base (merci le traducteur) nous avons quand même signer (contrat non recu). Quelques jours aprés la restitution du véhicule, une somme a été prélevée.
Sixt Varsovie contacté , nous avons demandé une explication, après plusieurs mails ils me disent que nous avons signé une assurance optionnelle... La meilleure!!! Nous avons beau eu dire que en aucuns cas ils avaient dit que c'était optionnel et que nous aurions rien signé vu les garanties de notre CB mais en gros c'est notre faute pas la leurs!!! Des ARNAQUEURS!!!

Warnung vor Betrugspraktiken bei Sixt Danzig Flughafen

Ich möchte andere Kunden vor meiner Erfahrung mit Sixt Danzig warnen. Nach einer Mietdauer von weniger als 24 Stunden (mit 3 Insassen/Zeugen) wurde mir ein angeblicher Schaden in Rechnung gestellt, der eindeutig nicht während meiner Mietzeit entstanden ist.

Das Fahrzeug wurde bei Dunkelheit ohne Begleitung eines Mitarbeiters übernommen, und auch bei der Rückgabe war niemand vor Ort, um das Auto gemeinsam zu prüfen. Dennoch behauptet Sixt Polen, einen Schaden festgestellt zu haben, der angeblich in meiner Mietzeit entstanden sein soll.

Es scheint hier eine klare Masche zu geben, Kunden für bereits bestehende oder anderweitig entstandene Schäden haftbar zu machen, schlicht gesagt: einfach abzukassieren!

Trotz mehrfacher Versuche, den Vorfall mit Sixt Polen und Sixt Deutschland zu klären, wurde der Betrag ohne Rücksprache von meiner Kreditkarte abgebucht. Ich kann nur jedem raten, Fahrzeuge bei dieser Station akribisch zu fotografieren und zu dokumentieren, oder besser: sich für einen anderen Anbieter zu entscheiden.

Ein derartiges Vorgehen ist für einen vermeintlichen Premiumanbieter wie Sixt völlig inakzeptabel. Ich werde den Vorfall an meine Versicherung und den Verbraucherschutz weiterleiten.

This is fraud

This is fraud, please do not rent from these people (SIXT Gdansk AirPort), they charged me for something thats not correct. We were 4 persons that controled the car and returned it the same way we got it.

We had a silver/grey SKODA. Number WF6974Y. I got pictures from them on their fraud on the car. If someone had the same car plz write to me. I Will take this further

Wypożyczyłem samochód z Sixt we…

Wypożyczyłem samochód z Sixt we Włoszech. Oprócz tego, że za wypożyczenie samochodu zapłaciłem w Polsce, to na miejscu w Treviso zostały doliczone dodatkowe opłaty. Za wypożyczenie zapłaciłem 150 euro więcej niż to było wcześniej ustalone.
Po interwencji do Sixt otrzymałem informację, że opłaty poczynione w Polsce były opłatami wstępnymi.

Fraudulent charges

Several days after returning a car to the Warsaw airport we got notified about "damages" detected. The "evidence" provided was a joke, there were some blurry photos, and it was not even obvious that it was really the car we rented (and returned several days prior to their evidence). Also, the amount they were to charge us was ridiculous given the type and size of the "damage". We received no response to our email contesting their "evidence" (and providing our own), and the card was charged.
