SNG Barratt - UKAvaliações 

SNG Barratt would be 5 star normally but they need to change their shipper DHL. DHL are alway getting their deliveries wrong and do not seem to care. They were due to deliver a parcel on Friday which they tried and we had waited in. They say they could not get an answer but they ignor the instruction to leave in the porch. I rang them and excepted the driver did not read his instruction but would re deliver the same evening. This did not happen so was unable to take the my car to a show. The parcel has still not been delivered and it is now Sunday evening. While this is a DHL problem it falls on SNG Barratt to answer. This has happened before with DHL SNG Barrett continue to use them.
UPDATE: I have spoken to SNG Barrett and they were already onto my problem .
They have promised to come back today as soon as they speak to DHL. The guy at SNG was very helpful and understanding so I will judge by result at the end of today if I receive my part.

UPDATE: SNG have been back after speaking with DHL. DHL stated the was met with an aggressive dog so did not complete deliver. I do have a dog but it is the opposite end to agressive. After speaking to the local depot a drive stated he has delivered to my house many times and the dog is far from aggressive. I have now been promised a delivery between 12.30 and 1.30 pm. I shall judge by result. I am of the schools that errors or mistakes take place but I judge by how that are resolved and the effort put in to correct the situation. So let’s see what happens?
UPDATE: it is now 3.35pm and still no sign of a delivery. Rang SNG Barratt and they agreed it is unacceptable and would ring DHL. They have said they will refund the delivery cost which is nice but does not help with getting the parts. This is now getting beyond a joke. My little update maybe boring the pants of anyone who reads this but I am determined to follow this through.
SNG have rung back after speaking to DHL . It seems the drive has had a puncture but I am now No 3 on his list. We shall see if this target is achieved.
FINAL UPDATE

Part arrive at 4pm. So to wrap up I will give SNG a revised start rating of 5 for doing all they could their end with people (Tom) coming back to me untill it was resolved.
As far as DTL are concerned I would not give them the time of day as any star rating could not apply. Apologise for boring anybody who reads this.

I got help on the phone in identifying a non standard radiator cap to hopefully fit a new radiator. It arrived very quickly as requested and only needed a small adjustment to fit properly

I buy quite a few parts from S.N.G Barratt.
On this occasion I needed a particular sticker for the Engine Bay.
The item was £4.10. The postage was around £4.50.
A little common sense & customer care would have seen the sticker placed in an envelope and a Postage Stamp applied.
There is no one in the world who can convince me the postage cost for this item is sensible or readonable.

Ordered a workshop manual at 4.45pm, it was despatched by 5.30 and was delivered just after lunch time the following day. The manual and Barratt's service was excellent.

Spoke to Pete whowas very helpful and friendly and saved me over £150 as I was trying to order a gearbox filter; he explained I could reuse existing by cleaning it. Have used SNG Barratt for many years for parts for my 2 E-types and have never been disappointed.

Terrible. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Sent the incorrect parts and simply refuse to process a refund. Crafty and unhelpful. Strongly suggest finding an alternative supplier.

I'm located in Australia and I'm in the process of overhauling the Independent Rear Suspension on my 1965 S-Type. When I got it stripped down I made a shopping list of parts required. Barratt's had everything I needed for instant shipping with only minor delays waiting for a couple of temporarily 'out of stock' items to come in. Communication was brilliant! Always kept informed of progress. Price comparison with a major local Jaguar parts supplier located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia revealed Barratt's were AU$900 cheaper than the local supplier and that's after shipping costs! My only criticism? It's a pity that single or small quantity items aren't cheaper to ship - not always wanting the speediness of the DHLs of the world, snail mail is ok sometimes.
