I bought a sofa from Snug
I bought a sofa from Snug, and it arrived faulty on the day of delivery. After SCS took over Snug, I had to deal with SCS directly. I’ve been emailing them for over 9 months, and they finally agreed the sofa was faulty.
However, after waiting so long, the collection was arranged for 7th October, but no one showed up or contacted me. SCS keep saying they can’t issue a refund until the sofa is collected — it’s now been over a year, and I still have no refund, no support, and no clear communication.
This has been a terrible experience from start to finish. I would not recommend SCS or Snug based on how they’ve handled this situation.
Hasn't lasted very well
Bought a Snug corner sofa two years ago and the positives are that it managed to fit through my narrow hallways. Intiitally it looked good and was quite comfortable, but over time the cushions have got lumpier and lumpier. Sadly I will have to change it and although was hoping it would last a few more years as it wasn't cheap, I think I will have to change it next year. I think it's time for me to bite the bullet and upgrade to a Loaf sofa.
Having had two Snug sofas before
Having had two Snug sofas before, both from the original company, I recently ordered a third. What a difference. This one is possibly the most uncomfortable sofa I've ever had, there's something not right with the seat cushions, they sag, and dip down towards each other. The experience could not be more different. I googled, and found that the original Snug no longer make these sofas - they sold out to SCS. SCS have obviously made changes intended to boost their profits - cheaper seat cushion inserts, I presume, Wish I'd known that before. Small company makes fantastic product, sells out to large company which keeps the brand name, but reduces quality to increase their profits, product is crap. Too much of this going on these days...
No regrets almost 1 year on
We have had our sofa coming up on a year now and very happy with it. Especially considering the value for money, we bought it at half price on a bank holiday discount. It was really convenient that it came flatpack and we could assemble it ourselves, as we are living in a flat which would make it very hard to get larger items of furniture through the hallways and front door.
SNUG CORNER SOFA
Bought a snug corner sofa which looked great after they delivered two hours later the sofa came apart, in two weeks the corner sofa has come apart four times. Technician came out three times and then blamed our floor stating its uneven, too pictured which are not clear to state it's uneven, bearing in mind we have had a corner sofa previously in the same position which had no problems. Furniture village send out technician from castleplan which work for them and go against the customer. They did nothing to resolve this issue and i only had the sofa two weeks. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying a sofa from Furniture village or a bed as we had issues with that too. This issue was 13 years ago and I thought things had probably changed with the service but it's still poor. Will never shop there again.

It's great for unpacking and packing if you are moving house.
It's not a comfortable sofa and after one year the leg completely broke off of the sofa. They originally told us they'd send a replacement base piece, then retracted that and said they'd send an engineer to fix it. The engineer said the sofas were built correctly and their legs are too high for the weight/design , so they're bound to break.
Additionally, it's just not very comfortable.
I would return the sofa if we could.
My advice would be to splurge and get a Loaf sofa.

Purchased a sofa from these people Jan 24. Great idea loved it. I was going to purchase another one but they have stopped trading. Real shame, the best sofa company I have ever used.
Since the purchase
Since the purchase, I have noticed an issue with the sofa legs: they appear to be slanting to one side and feel wobbly whenever someone sits on it, despite being tightly secured.

Faulty and false promise of support
I bought my sofa and absolutely loved it - unfortunately it's quite faulty in a number of ways, cushions have dipped and misshapen, the connections of the bits are faulty. I got in touch with Snug who told me they had forwarded the issue onto technicians who would come and inspect - this was in November. I have since heard absolutely nothing from Snug - and have tried to escalate to no avail. I would be happy to update this review if the service I was promised is received, but as things stand - I'm sitting on a waste of money faulty piece of furniture.
Very disappointed
We have had this two years in boxes only just put up last week as we were renovating it’s a lovely olive green big chill corner sofa
To put up took 45 minutes as the fixings don’t line up great so one ripped sofa that we have had to glue up as wouldn’t line up properly the stitching on closer inspection is very amateurish so are the staples so to me it might look ok but it’s not worth the money flimsy frightened to sprawl out I case it gets ripped in reality it just a bit of timber with a cheap fabric added I would not buy this again just over 2k badly spent save up and get a proper sofa can’t sent back as we have had it a while but only just opened it a week a ago
Avoid at all costs - from someone 18 months in!!
Don’t waste your money. I’ve had this sofa for 18 months and it looks awful, I have the small biggie corner sofa and the cushions have just completely lost their volume (they did after about 2 months) so it just looks horrid, 3 of the 6 cushion covers zips have broke so the covers don’t sit tight and look all wrinkly and horrible. When it was sold to me by a sales assistant at a stocked store they told me the fabric was stain resistant however it is absolutely not, stains completely sit embedded in to the fabric and do not come out. Because of this, I have had to take the covers off and wash a couple of times which is horrendous to try and do, the zips don’t go round far enough so trying to get the cushions back in the covers is near impossible and almost rips the seams of the cushions- a longer zip would rectify this so simply but they are just made as cheaply as possible.
The sides of the sofa keep coming loose and we have to keep tightening.
They actually sent me the wrong sofa initially too and I had to wait 2 months for them to come deliver the correct sofa which just adds to the awful experience.
Absolute gutted because as a single mum this was a huge purchase for me at almost 2grand for a small 3 seater sofa and it should be a sofa that I love and I’m proud of but instead I am sat here 18 months later absolutely gutted with a sofa that I am ashamed of having in my home and now having to save the money again to try and get myself a new one, and I definitely won’t be able too sell this one for anything as nobody would have it. Gutted. Avoid at all costs.

How in 2024 companies like this can get away with stealing innocent people's cash is beyond me.

Order SF74663. Disgraceful service from this company, which is part of SCS, who will get this same review. Returned 2 sofas over 3 months ago and constantly getting a lot of drivel about refund system not able to process a refund which is a load of rubbish. They have basically stolen our money, £1500 and are simply not returning it. Have kids on bean bags as we can't afford replacements without the refund. Desperate to get some help, but just don't know where to go. I have even spoken to them but get same ridiculous reply. So stressed with this now. Must have written 20 emails!
So fed up...
After long delays, multiple rescheduled delivery dates and a lot of stress we have thankfully actually received our sofa. However the compensation I was offered for the inconvenience is yet to be refunded. I have now waited 8 weeks and have sent countless emails, a company's refund system surely cannot be 'faulty' for this length of time. What is going on??
worst company to buy from
I have purchased a sofa back in July 2024. Never received it; also they are saying are having issues with their refund system and haven’t given my money back yet. I have lost count of how many emails I have sent and how many phone calls I have given them asking to give me the money back, but they keep telling me about this faulty refund system … anyone else in the same situation?
Comfort not considered important to company?
After buying two rebel corner sofas I was unhappy with the comfort or quality. There is hardly enough room to sit on these sofas straight upright, it’s really not a pleasant experience. After requesting a return of these sofas I was told that “comfort” is not a valid reason for return. Essentially you will be sold many boxes of cheap foam with no way to return. I will now be pursuing legal action against this company to see if their claims are valid
