My sleep has not improved since using…

My sleep has not improved since using this device.
It is easy to use and not uncomfortable but unfortunately it was not very helpful for mee

Unromantic, still clunky in mouth.

Unromantic, still feels like a foreign object in mouth, cannot close mouth completely. Dry mouth due mouth being open a little.
Less apnoeas but still occassionally snore.
Avant-garde is better but still unpleasant in mouth.

My dental team were excellent in…

My dental team were excellent in teaching me about your device and how it works. It is comfortable to wear. Unfortunately my teeth kept slipping our of the lower brace, so a replacement is currently being made.

Fine but no alternatives

I wish the devices were easier to clean, there are lots of tiny ridges from layers inside which then make it challenging to clean
I had a device break and it took quite a while and a lot of follow up calls between my dentist for the replacement to be shipped out

Helped with both my teeth grinding and my sleep apnoea

I have been grinding my teeth at night for over 20 years. I tried mouthguards before but it made the pain in my jaws worse. I was then also diagnosed with mild sleep apnoea, which I previously thought only people with a high BMI could get. Recommendations were for botox every 6 months ($600 each time) for my jaws for the teeth grinding and a CPAP machine at night for better sleep - but Somnomed sorted out both these issues for me! It is the first mouth guard that I can tolerate, and both my jaw pain and sleep have improved. I have been using Somnomed for several months now, and I would highly recommend it!

Cured my wife's snoring

I found the The SomnoMed device to be easy to wear and effective in providing me with a deeper sleep than I used to be able to achieve.
But more importantly my wife also now wears a Somnomed device after seeing how mine worked. It has made a massive difference to her sleep. She previously suffered from medium level sleep apnea and use to snore like an old freight train. However now her breathing during sleep is much more regular and the snoring has stopped, which helps my sleep. I have no hesitation in recommending this device.

Experience bad jaw pain

Experience bad jaw pain when I wear the device, even after dentist making adjustments.

Jury still out

I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnoea and mouth guard recommended. I've worn it religiously for 2.5 months and don't feel any different during the day nor has my sleep improved. I snore less so I assume it has made a difference for $2.2k. I must complete the SA test again to understand definitively what if any change has made!

Great result

My main reason for getting the Somno Med device was to reduce my snoring. I don't feel it has helped me sleep better however my wife has been able to sleep without me keeping her awake. From that perspective it's been wonderful and am delighted with the result.

My experience with ResMed and a tongue…

My experience with ResMed and a tongue prosthesis was disappointing. My problem was airway obstruction when my tongue fell back onto my airway when I relaxed in sleep. The Somnomed gave immediate relief because it stopped my jaw from slipping backward to allow a clear airway and restful sleep.

It hurts my mouth & teeth

It hurts my mouth & teeth, a lot of pressure on my teeth. I have trouble brushing my teeth & eating in the mornings because of the pain in my mouth.
Also have trouble getting the guard into my mouth. My dentist cut down part of the ends to get it to fit in my mouth.

My device has done everything we were…told

My device has done everything we were told it would by both our normal dentist and the specialist dentist who fitted the device. This has enabled my wife and I to sleep in the same bed and have just returned from 5 weeks overseas and it was perfect.\

Extremely well fitted

Extremely well fitted, causes me no discomfort at night and I sleep soundly with it. My snoring has reduced drastically.

Flawed product, no fix in sight

The device does not work well. The bands seem to work for a week or two and then the snoring return. I have moved the device 4mm. The bands stretch over a short period of time. I was told a year ago the bands were getting a metal band to stop this problem and it still hasn’t happened. I would not recommend this product.
