Great product and service. I'd use them again

Order took 2.5weeks to arrive.
The mantle was a lot darker than advertised on the website photos. Wasn’t willing to replace. Options provided were to sand and varnish myself (already paid £300, doesn’t seem fair for me to rectify) or return at my shipping cost

Ordered and today received a bespoke Heat Shield for my wooden mantel.
I would like to say that the customer service given by Stuart was beyond excellent, I contacted him a few weeks ago and reached out for some technical advice on protecting my wooden mantel after having a log burner installed and told by the fitter afterwards that the wooden mantel potentially was a safety issue.
I contacted Stuart who was extremely helpful, patient and gave really good advice to someone such as me who was completely out of her comfort zone, expertise area and stressed. Hopefully I can now get the heat shield fitted and finally enjoy my log burner. I would definitely recommend Stuart @ Stapehill Workshop for an excellent service. Thank you Stuart for your kindness.

The service from Stuart was fantastic and the mantel was superb. I originally ordered the wrong size, which was completely my fault, but Stuart refunded the difference and sent me the correct order. Having a mantel that can be installed close to the heat source enabled me to lower the TV significantly. The mantel acts as a fantastic heat deflector and I've had no issues since installing it (1 year ago).

Stuart was kind enough to respond to my email when I was seeking advice, and he did so in a way that clearly put my best interests first — even though it meant I wouldn’t be purchasing his own product. That level of honesty and integrity is rare. A true gentleman who prioritised giving the right advice over making a sale. Exceptional customer service throughout.

Easy to use website very clear explanations on products.
Emailed when the product was finished and with parcel force. Still in packaging as do not want to open until it gos on the wall. So I can update as soon as I have seen it. Now unwrapped very good quality good instructions would highly recommend.

Great idea to avoid the ubiquitous fake stoneware ones. Nice finish and supplied primer only so we could paint the heatshield to match. Good service prompt delivery.

Arrived on time, very well packaged. Well built sturdy shelf made with care. Fixings good, took a while to put up but that was down to my wonky wall not the shelf. It’s definitely not going anywhere now it’s on, it’s solid. Looks good very pleased with it. Would highly recommend.
