Ville godt nok være bange for at lade mine børn bruge det her firma.
Vi havde dog tidligere brugt dem da vi har været værtsfamilie, og desværre modtog en elev der allerede i bilen sad og skrev hjem om at hun ikke ville det her.
Trods sts regler om at elever ikke måtte tage billeder og sende hjem uden vores tilladelse, gjorde eleven dette og gik og ledte efter steder hvor vi havde overset lidt støv og lign.
Svaret fra sts var ja det var da ikke så godt.
Eleven så vi kun til aftensmad i den uge hun var her, men så ikke nogen fra sts møde i for at snakke hvad problemet var og hvordan det evt kunne løses.

Det her er nu 2 år siden, og vi har forsøgt at søge 2 gange siden, det eneste vi hører fra dem er deres autogenererede standardmail.
Vi har hørt en masse mere og mere tossede undskyldninger og skulle ikke undre mig at der også kommer en her.
Så med den sparring, ville jeg godt nok være nervøs for at skulle sende mit bar ud i verden med dem her.

1) I svaret fra STS står min datters navn - det burde STS anonymisere.

2) det er ikke korrekt at STS altid tager telefon. Jeg har 3 gange oplevet at den ringer ud. 2 gange opleveret at få at vide at den der har min datters case ville ringe tilbage - hvilket aldrig skete.

3) det er fuldkommen løgn at web gør sig umage. Det var de gode mennesker som rejser med Rotary Exchange der fandt en ny værtsfamilie. WEB/STS vejlederen havde end ikke forsøgt ej heller rakt ud til hverken skolen eller området.

4) det er korrekt at en ny værtsfamilie (som dit barn har hele ansvaret for at finde selv) skal gennem webs godkendelser. Barnet får blot at vide at de skal spørge rundt og finde værtsfamilie, men ikke hvilke krav. Derfor kan dit barn stå i en situation hvor dit barn har fundet værtsfamilie, men skal ud og lede igen.

I had an awesome exchange year! Got paired with an amazing host family thanks to my local coordinator that also organized get togethers every month with other exchange students. STS has been a serious organization making the whole process easy.

En faisant du ménage, je viens de retrouver le sac à dos de ma fille à l'effigie de cette organisation avec laquelle est avait un échange en Autriche. Nous sommes du Québec. Cet échange, qui avait coûté une fortune à l'époque, s'adressait à des adolescents en quête de voyages et de pays lointains. Son aventure s'est révélée très négative; famille dysfonctionnelle où elle s'est retrouvée avec un père hyper-contrôlant qui lui interdisait l'accès à Internet en autres. Son voyage s'est terminé avec une blessure au genou lors d'une sortie de ski alpin sur des pentes trop avancées pour elle. Une chirurgie bâclée dans le système de santé autrichien, qui a dû être reprise dès son retour au Québec. Nous avions aussi accepté d'accueillir un jeune fille de l'Australie en retour. Cette dernière avait fait cela sur un coup de tête et STS ne lui avait évidemment pas posée aucune question sur ses motivations de faire dépenser 12 000 $ à ses parents pour un voyage qu'elle a détesté. Elle n'avait simplement pas la maturité à 16 d'entreprendre un tel voyage. Elle voulait retourner chez elle pour aller magasiner avec ses amies... J'ai un seul conseil aux ados qui rêvent de voyager, attendez d'avoir au moins 18 ans et ne vous laissez pas embarquer dans cette organisation privée dont le but premier est de générer un profit à ses propriétaires.

I had a great experience, thanks to my amazing host family!
My whole exchange year wasn't perfect and it sure was not how I expected it to be. But that is what made it great. If I hadn't have to go through so many challenges I wouldn't have developed as much as a person, as I did. I wouldn't be who I am today.

Through those challenges I got the most help from my host family and STS. They both were a supporting fence during my exchange year, that helped me making the right decisions and not give up.
Even if they didn't always do what I wanted them or needed them to do, they always did their best. For that, I am forever grateful!

To be brief, for (4) months I have been working with STS, I was told last week that I was approved, however, yesterday got notice that my application had been denied. They would NOT give the reason why. Again, I had been told for weeks now that I was approved, they were sending information and even had a home visit planned with Jamie Baldwin. From the beginning I had spoke to Joan, and Teresa about the poor experience I had with another organization and how they would no longer allow me to host. That was (4) months ago! I was told by Ms. Teresa that my application looked good and once I to an updated family photo things would be set and things would get rolling. Well, they lied to me!! They do check other organizations and if another organization states that you are not eligible to host then they would deny you to host with them!! I am furious!! I gave them this information from the beginning and even repeated this information to Jamie Baldwin who confirmed that the organization does not check other organizations. Be smart and avoid this organizations!!! They will lead you on for months. I have hosted for 14 years and my rep is retiring and need to find another organization with a rep in the area! They were even going to help me with this!!! ( another lie!) I told them that I had even worked for another organization for years but they no longer had a rep in the area so I had to look for another organization! My point being: this organization is not very bright! They need host families and you would think that someone who has hosted for 14 years, and worked for an organization that they would bend over backwards to take me, but leads me on for 4 months and then drops me like a worthless piece of shit! Stay away from them!!
+++ Please read their response: Carefully, they "still " did NOT address the issues I mentioned. Again, I as OK'ed with them and approved!..had a "in-home" visit planned, and even getting host family information! So, again, why would you do all this to a family that was not approved?? Why are you avoiding answering the questions? Why did you lead my family and I on for months? What are you " hiding" by not answering the questions? They sound "shady" to me? Worked on this for months: got our hopes ups! And then treat us Cruelly by just dumping us that were were pieces of shit! Been hoping (14) yrs and even worked for a one organization: with the need for host family and local co-ordinators and some willing to host. You'd think someone that me would be Ideal!! and a great catch. Fortunately, God looked out for me and guided me away from this organization. I would like to help and show others the type of organization that STS Foundation is for both a host family and student interested in them.....AVOID!!

STS is an amazing organization. I went to the US for 5 months with them and I had a great time. With STS, I feel seen and not like I am just a number for them. Every time I had a question or a problem, they helped me solve it. I would recommend STS for anyone!

Ein halbes Jahr, das unsere Tochter – und uns als Familie – fürs Leben geprägt hat!

Unsere Tochter durfte mit STS Education ein halbes Jahr in Florida verbringen, im Select Programm – und wir sind einfach nur dankbar. Von der ersten Planung bis zur Rückkehr lief alles ruhig, professionell und absolut verlässlich ab.

Ganz besonders hervorheben möchten wir die perfekte Auswahl der Gastfamilie. Unsere Tochter hat sich vom ersten Tag an wohlgefühlt – aus einer Gastfamilie wurde schnell eine zweite Familie, mit echter Herzlichkeit, Vertrauen und Nähe. Zu sehen, wie glücklich und geborgen sie dort war, hat auch uns als Eltern sehr berührt.

Selbst in einem Moment, in dem man sich Sorgen macht – bei einem Arztbesuch vor Ort – hat STS eindrucksvoll gezeigt, wie gut alles organisiert ist. Die Abrechnung mit der Versicherung verlief schnell und völlig unkompliziert. Dieses Gefühl von Sicherheit, auch aus der Ferne, ist unbezahlbar.

Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt Frau Kowalski von STS Österreich. Mit ihrer warmen, engagierten Art war sie immer erreichbar und unterstützend – man spürt einfach, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird.

Für unsere Familie war diese Zeit eine einmalige, wunderschöne Erfahrung.
Wir würden STS jederzeit wieder wählen – aus voller Überzeugung. 🌍✨

Witam, jesteśmy aktualnie na pół metku wymiany naszej córki. Wysyłając Julie do Stanów Zjednoczonych obdarzyliśmy zaufaniem zarówno Panią Agnieszkę Strąk jaki firmę STS oddając w ręce i pod opiekę nasze dziecko. Początek był dla nas wstrząsającym przeżyciem, rozłąka, tęsknota. Dziś wiemy, że to była najlepsza decyzja -widzimy jak córka pięknie się rozwija zarówno kulturowo, naukowo i osobiście -stając się dojrzałą i odpowiedzialną kobietą.

Piszę po kilku miesiącach, dziś wiem że najważniejsze jest zaangażowanie w osiągnięcie celu. Mój syn jest w Irlandii dzięki Pani Agnieszce Strąg, poradziła sobie ze sprawą, która innych przerosła.

Mein Austausch war eine großartige Zeit und ich würde alles dafür tun es nochmal zu erleben, ich lege jedem ans Herz der überlegt ins Ausland zu gehen das zu tun. Man erlebt tolle neue Sachen und lernt die fantastischten Leute kennen

My daughter spent six months in Canada during the summer semester of 2025. These months and this experience will stay with her for the rest of her life. From the very beginning, STS provided us with a wealth of information and support. Every phone call before departure and all the documents for preparing for the stay abroad were helpful and very well prepared.
If you asked my daughter today whether she would plan another stay abroad with STS, she would say yes immediately, and I would support her with a very good feeling. Many thanks to STS and especially to the STS representative here in Vienna, Ms Kowalski.

Serdecznie Polecam firmę Sts oraz profesjonalizm Pani Agnieszki Strąk która krok po kroku przeprowadziła nas przez procedurę rekrutacji oraz wszelkich formalności do wyjazdu do USA na 10 miesięcy, Pani Agnieszka zawsze dostępna i życzliwa, zaangażowana pomogła podczas podróży i przygód jej towarzyszących oraz wybrała wspaniałą rodzinę dla naszej córki 16 lat. Córka jest bardzo zadowolona na początek była na obozie powitalnym w New Yorku zorganizowanym przez Sts a potem została zaopiekowana przez rodzinę z tradycjami z dziećmi w podobnym wieku na zachodnim wybrzeżu USA. Po 2 miesiącach świetnie radzi sobie w szkole, poznała ciekawych ludzi i mówi biegle po angielsku…na pewno skorzystamy ponownie.

Z całego serca polecamy firmę STS Education i szczególnie panią Agnieszkę Strąk. Wysłaliśmy naszego syna do USA w ramach programu wymiany – na rynku jest wiele firm oferujących podobne wyjazdy, ale zaufaliśmy właśnie STS dzięki pani Agnieszce. Już od pierwszego kontaktu wzbudziła nasze zaufanie i dała nam ogromne poczucie spokoju.

Pani Agnieszka jest niezwykle empatyczna, cierpliwa i zaangażowana – zawsze była dostępna, odpowiadała na każde pytanie i sprawnie przeprowadziła nas przez cały proces aplikacji. Dzięki jej wsparciu wszystko przebiegło bardzo sprawnie i bez stresu.

Syn jest obecnie w USA, trafił do wspaniałej rodziny i szkoły, a program STS daje mu wiele możliwości rozwoju i poznania nowej kultury. Jesteśmy ogromnie wdzięczni za profesjonalizm i ciepłe podejście. Z pełnym przekonaniem polecamy STS Education i panią Agnieszkę Strąk każdemu rodzicowi, który chce wysłać swoje dziecko na tak inspirujący i wartościowy wyjazd.

Jeg var veldig fornøyd med min utveksling!

Vertsfamilien min kalte meg alltid deres 'bonusdatter', og jeg følte meg velkommen fra første dag. Koordinatoren min var alltid tilgjengelig og ble med på det som var av skolebesøk, legetimer, og han arrangerte til og med events med oss utvekslingsstudentene. Jeg havnet i en veldig bra klasse og trivdes godt i vennegjengen min.

STS ga god oppfølging både før, under, og etter utvekslingen min. Anbefaler organisasjonen på det sterkeste!

Cała organizacja była bardzo sprawna i w bardzo przyjaznej atmosferze. Pani Agnieszka zadbała o wiele praktycznych informacji, dokładnie omawiała korzyści, realia oraz ewentualne trudne sytuacje, wyczerpująco objaśniała etapy wyjazdu. Jedyne, co mnie zdziwiło to fakt, że nie ma połączenia między organizatorem w kraju a koordynatorem na miejscu. Niemniej jednak koordynator na miejscu był dostępny - głównie dla uczestnika. Przydzielona rodzina nie miała na celu poznania nowej osoby, kultury. Swoje zadanie użyczenia lokum i 3 posiłków wypełniała poprawnie, ale nie włączała córki w swoje życie, wręcz trzymała na dystans. Nie była też wsparciem w codziennej organizacji. STS jako organizację bardzo polecam, Wszystkie formalności i kontakt z Panią Agnieszką były wzorowe.
