Truly the worst customer care service ever. I’ve had my horizontal deck box for 18 months. Every screw has come loose or fallen out completely. The top literally warped. I’ll be putting at the curb soon. Gorilla tape is the only thing holding it together. Never again. Customer service had every excuse to do nothing.

THE FIRST TIME IT RAINED AFTER IT WAS PUT TOGETHER THE UNIT WAS FLOODED. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY NOR WOULD THEY REPLACE IT. THERE WARENTEE IS BOGUS.

10' x 7' Barn Door Shed BMS9000. Followed all instructions to specifications, including the foundation. Finshed product has warped panels on the 7' sections. Looks defective. Asked for ideas to help it look professional. The roof was very difficult to install. Sent pictures. Suncast said it was fine, that is served it's purpose. No customer support. They are not concerned with how is looks. So sorry we bought it.

Suncast will do anything in its power to no honor their warranty. We received a damaged roof panel in our purchase . So I was like...I'll purchase the panel...ok..fine..$33.77...then when it came time to check out...they want to charge $258 in shipping charges. Was on the phone and email back in forth for about month.. I cut the roof panel up....and put it in a box and sent it back to them, along with the rest of the damaged shed. Do yourself a favor and buy a Lifetime Shed. Better quality and better customer experience for sure. I will.nevsr own a Suncast anything again.

10’x7, shed is a nightmare. Wish we would seen reviews before buying. Looked good at Costco set up. We followed instructions on line with shed and with unit delivered. It a joke rafters are to long causing front and back walls to bow out. Floor has a gap( which we wanted solid floor and roof is not fitting. Contacted company of course it our fault not poor quality of precut pieces being wrong but foundation we have it on. However we followed these as included/online. Not to mention online directions and written ones not the same. Company not take accountability for messed up product. It took us two weeks to get together with help from others. Not should have been case. This taking apart four times and doing again.

I spent $400 on a SUNCAST SHED at Sam's. When I went to buy 3 modest plastic shelves the companies least costly SHIPPING FOR THEM is $91.00 !!! You can get them other places perhaps but their prices are hugely inflated AS WELL !!
Come On SUNCAST ......why do you have to rip off the consumer that just bought your product. THAT IS SO WRONG IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS 😕 😐 😔 🙃

BUYER BEWARE IS RIGHT! The only thing worse than Suncast products is their customer service and refusal to honour warranty. This company sells complete junk and offers warranty which they NEVER intend to honour. I bought a shed model BMS7790D and the 2 front corners have split already completely down to the ground. Having read other accounts this seems to be a common issue. The concrete pad I had made is 100% level and secure yet Suncast (as I expected) does anything and everything to get out of honouring their warranty and saying it was the customers fault. I have even offered to purchase the parts I need to fix this piece of crap and they are making it next to impossible to deal with them. STAY AWAY from Suncast products altogether. They are junk.

Deck box that I bought at Costco stopped working and the door would not stay open anymore, Hinge plungers were super cheap and claimed 10 years of use and demanded. I have a receipt in order to get some new plungers. Highly recommended.

Update May13th: **After hours of placing calls, a few more emails, we finally received a lid replacement for our deck box. This update is to make sure I was transparent and all the facts were detailed here for this review.
Suncast reply- “I have reviewed your claim and determined that we can send a one-time complimentary order for the following parts:
Lid panel-0B00608E4.” It was mentioned further down in the email that this was NOT covered under warranty, just a courtesy:)
My stubborn persistence paid off, but let’s be honest it shouldn’t be this hard or stressful to have your product warranty honored. Regretfully I still will not buy another Suncast product after this experience.**

The hardware on the lid of our 200 Gallon deck box detached and does not allow the lid to close properly. After only owning this for 1.5 years I contacted customer service to replace under the “10 year warranty” and their response was a complete joke. The explanation was, by having a deck box within a 1+ mile radius of a window we caused the damage and therefore it was our fault. Here is only part of the email: “Unfortunately, due to the multiple factors involved and the 1+ mile range at which low-e windows can cause damage, Suncast is unable to provide guidance on placement which would prevent such damage. Please contact your local building inspectors office who may be able to assist with locating nearby low-e sources which can assist you in the placement of your Suncast products. Per your product's warranty terms, the user is responsible for protecting the product from damage in this situation.”

So something you buy for your home cannot be near your home?? It was also explained to them that the deck box was under protective cover and not near a window, but one mile??

This company WILL NOT honor your warranty and any damage from defects or shoddy parts will be treated as if the customer caused the problem. This is the first company that I’ve seen to be this dishonest.

Such a shame a company with the word “SUN” in their name could send a response that this “deck” box cannot be placed within A MILE of a typical window for fear of sun reflection damage.
Will never buy another product and I’d implore you to do the same.

We bought Craftsman shed # CMXRSSC7750 in July 2021, and placed on a flat, concrete pad.
Recently the front vertical corner sections have split. I'm using gorilla tape to keep it together. I was directed by Craftsman to contact Suncast for resolution. Today I filed my request for consideration.

Your warranty is a scam and your products are garbage.

I purchased an outdoor storage box that claims to have a lifetime warranty. After less than 18 months, the metal framing inside the box rusted through. The lifetime warranty doesn't cover weather conditions even though the box is designed to be utilized outside. I recommend looking for another vendor for your outside storage needs.

I purchased the BMS8130 8x13 foot shed a few years back. The plastic shed cost over $2000. The shed is great its elf but it the panels are not very strong. Since then we have a couple small branches hit the roof. These branches are small less than an inch in diameter. Each time it would break the roof panel. a couple of years ago I ordered anew panel they charged me 37 dollars for the panel and 40 dollars for shipping! I called to order another roof extension (panel.) They told me it was 37 dollars for the panel and $247.74!! Where is it shipping from? The moon?? My all steel 500pound leg press machine cost less than a hundred dollars to ship it! Stay away from these sheds. Customer service is horrible!

Terrible company! I filed a warranty claim which they denied at first because they didn't like the three photos I provided, then attempted to deny the claim as if were outside the warranty period (which it was not), and finally admitted that the product was in warranty, but admitted their warranty is actually useless. For a product with a 5-year warranty, this was their official response to the BBB:

"Manufacturing defect typically present themselves within the first month of use. [...] It is uncommon for a product that was manufactured with a defect in materials or workmanship to survive under normal use for any extended period of time. Product clearly has been used without issue for several years. [...] Products submitted for warranty replacement after years of continuous reliable service are rarely found to be defective."

In other words, they provide a 5-year warranty but never intend to actually honor it because it's not possible for a product to be defecting beyond "the first month of use". It sounds as ridiculous as it is.

This suncast tremont storage shed is a total nightmare-DO NOT BUY ONE! This shed is falling apart and it is only one year old. It is extremely flimsy and has approximately zero security. I will need to build a wood frame at considerable time and materials or this thing will fall over soon. For the extra money and effort I could build a wood frame shed with metal siding for +-2000$ that structure could last 50 years or more.
Please, do yourself a favor don't buy this shed! NEGATIVE TEN STAR RATING @!!!@@@@!!!!$%$$

Suncast's present-day strategy seems to be in line with so many other American companies: raise prices, reduce product quality, and alienate the customer. I bought a BMS2500 "horizontal utility shed" in April of 2021. I assembled it, put it to good use, and have had no issues with it. I liked it well enough to buy another of the same model in December of 2023. After assembly: the doors meet unevenly, the opening for the hasp is misaligned, and the roof doesn't close properly. In fact, the whole unit is unstable and easily sways out-of-square. Frustrated, I compared the assembly instruction manuals from 2021 and 2023, then confirmed my finding by eyeballing the two sheds side-by-side. For the 2021 shed, Suncast provided two steel "hinge assemblies" (part #KK) which secure the roof to the sidewalls and obviously help the shed itself remain square and stable. In 2023, these are not provided and are not mentioned in the newer assembly manual. I called customer service to describe my concerns and was told that the engineering department had decided the hinge assemblies were not necessary. Hah! They did, however, have some in stock and would send a pair to me for $20 (plus $14 shipping, plus an extra $2 for the mounting screws, plus tax). They rejected my contention that the hinge assemblies never should have been eliminated, that they should now provide them to me at no charge, and that without them the shed is unsatisfactory. I felt I had no choice but to order the parts. I do, however, make a choice to write this negative review. My advice: don't buy any Suncast product; save your money or buy another brand (but verify product quality in person -- and check out the seller's customer service reputation -- before you buy).

I received an outside storage box as a gift from my son. I wanted it because I have taken up smoking meats and wanted more outside storage to accommodate this.
The Suncast box turned out not to constructed very well. I experienced two separate issues. The first problem was finally resolved after nearly two months of back and forth emailing with the Company. The second problem probably should have resulted in an offer to replace the merchandise. But that wasn’t an option.
I believe that the quality of materials with Suncast products is below average. And I do not think that I will be a future customer of theirs.

Hinges came apart were attached to lids. Suncast blames ME for faulty install (please, I could shed from scratch I can build a deckbox). I contacted SUncast and had pictures and wanted a warranty replacement. IMMEDIATELY they blamed me for improper assembly and refused to have their quality engineer call to explain this. Complaints to BBB and NYS Consumer Protection met with the same feedback by company stating "Consumer is to blame and not Suncast"
