Money taken but order cancelled - awaiting refund
Bought a pair of sunglasses online as a gift. The money was taken from my account but I received a call the next day to say they weren't in stock, and hadn't been for 4 weeks, and they are finding it hard to stay on top of such a busy online business. That is fair enough, but the money will now take up to 10 days to go back in to my account, Christmas month. Not fair enough. Inventory management is the least I'd expect when paying this amount of money for a product.

Quick, efficient and friendly repair
I popped into Sunglasses.ie this morning with my precious Prada shades which after years of wear and tear wear had scratches on the lenses. Within 2 minutes, the very helpful staff changed the lenses, straightened and cleaned them for me, and all for €80 (much cheaper than buying a replacement pair!) Thank you all. I will be back.
Beware of hidden T&Cs
Ordered a pair of prescription Oakleys confident in their Returns policy which has “no hidden T&Cs” and where if you are “not satisfied with your purchase” you get a “full refund”. Turns out there are hidden T&Cs presented at checkout and guess what no refunds on prescription or custom orders… Similar sites do offer full refunds on prescription orders, so really disappointed with this. Over €300 down the drain.

Excellent service. Straightforward website, immediate confirmation of order, personal follow-up email which is a nice touch, order delivered within 3 days by courier. Would have no problem recommending this company on my experience.
A poor experience
My mother spent 145euro on replacing the lenses of her sunglasses due to them being of sentimental value. She entrusted sunglasses.ie to look after them. She was quoted one week for her glasses with new lenses to be ready and after three weeks she called to be informed they were unsure of their whereabouts. Upon tracking down her sunglasses, they found nothing had been done with them and they were left sitting there for three weeks! She called into the shop twice and phoned again a couple of times more and eventually after over a month, she got them back. When I finally collected the sunglasses for her as soon as they were ready, the gentleman we were told was the manager handed me back the sunglasses with dirty lenses! He asked me were they ok and I had to tell him I didn't know as I couldn't see what was scratches and what was smudges. They weren't even in a box, just a small piece of thin foam with an elastic band tight around them. I told the manager I was unhappy at how stressed my mother had been by trying to get her glasses back as she had even asked by this point to have them back whatever way they were currently, she just wanted them back. The manager said he didn't know anything about the case, despite my mother having explained it on the phone to him earlier that day. He was completely unapologetic and the other staff also behaved unapologetically and rudely. No refund was offered, not even a discount for all of the distress and on top of this, when I sent an email of complaint they didn’t even have the decency to respond!
edit- was reached out to since and given 50% refund and the guy on the phone was very nice, professional and apologetic about the situation.

Order not received, and no responses to my enquiries with their customer services.
1. Order placed on 18/05/2018 for sunglasses for €210.50
2. Email received from Sunglasses.ie on 18/05/2018: "Your order has been received and will be processed once payment has been confirmed."
3. €210.50 deducted from credit card on 18/05/2018
4. I email to enquire what the status of the order is on 01/06/2018: no response received from Sunglasses.ie
5. I use the web form to enquire what the status is on 04/06/2018: no response received
6. I send another email pointing out that I still do not have my order, nor any replies to the 2 messages above: no response received
7. I come onto this website and hope that perhaps I might get some sort of response.
I understand that sometimes there isn't stock, although when I placed the order I was informed there was stock. What I do not understand is ignoring customers who have paid for something and would like to know when, or if, they will receive it.
