I’ve amended my review, not because I regretted it, I don’t, it was honest and fair but because they called me and not only explained but also apologised and you can’t ask for more than that.

I’ve amended the title from is to was, and again I think that’s fair and honest.

As previously stated, I’ve dealt with them many times, I was appalled by the attitude of the guy I spoke to when I had an issue, but fair play they’ve sorted it and in hindsight I should have hung up, then phoned back and I probably would have got a different person and a different attitude.

This is a comapny of spivs much like all companies nowadays - they do not give a toss about their customers or reputation but just seem to be in this business to make money, \Well there are more direct ways of making money and you dont have to upset customers no end those ways - really, are you bothered about the quality of your products and customer service or not? My experience to date has been abysmal. Absolutely unacceptable.

I placed a small order, but I was very pleased with the quality of the goods and they arrived in a timely manner.

We took a recently purchased sealed packaged Sunshine Solar panel to France specifically for an emergency fitting to our boat to replace older Sunshine Solar panels that appeared to have failed hence no bilge pump protection for the boat.

On opening the package at the boat we fortunately read the label on the rear of the panel before the refit of the panel.
It was half the power of the panels being replaced and not the sale item that I thought I had purchased.We immediately phoned the Sunshine Solar contact number and were surprised by the tone of the language used towards us by the Sunshine Solar representative, a part of which could be construed by a sensitive person as swearing.
However we were pleased that the Sunshine Solar representative stated they would arrange collection of the panel in the UK which we took to mean that Sunshine Solar would pay return postage costs.

We were not unreasonably suspicious concerning the language used and tested the panel in case there was a repetitive problem with the solar panels. The panel turned out to be tested ,in our opinion,as faulty .

We then returned to the UK and we felt obliged to ask for the assistance of PayPal Protection in requesting a refund of our returned solar panel purchase price and when we knew it our postage costs.

I checked the Sunshine Solar sales conditions and noted they would pay £10 towards postage costs.

As a long standing account holder with Sunshine Solar I was pleased to understand that,under the circumstances, they would in fact pay the entire posting costs.

The purchase cost refund has been paid but we are substantially out of pocket due to associated ferry and transportation costs to France.

To conclude a truly unpleasant purchase experience Sunshine Solar now has refused to refund any of our associated UK postage costs .

Excellent service, from the first call to talk through the equipment needed the guys at Sunshine Solar were great. Equipment delivered really quickly and as expected. Needed to phone with a query and they were really helpful answering my questions.

an’t recommend sunshine solar enough., 3kw invererter went wrong, it was 2 years out of the warranty,I phoned for some advise, I think it was Mike who helped, he told us to return it and they would look at it, he phoned me back a few days later to say it had gone wrong and that they would send us a refurbished one with-no charge. I bought a battery charger from this company, they have been very helpful and when needed, the aftersales was exactly what you would expect, no quibble, and proffessional. Highly recomended
