Any company that wants to keep your $ without providing service is a scam!

The fact they will not refund accidental purchases & keep $ from people who do not use their service but got tricked into signing up thinking they would only be charged if they used the service tells you all you need to know about the company... they cannot even stand up on their own just for the work they do!

Poor Customer service & business practices! Sad you have to get your financial institution to retract payments so they dont rob you of your $!

If there was a zero rating I would give that. I paid Superprof $49 for each of three months. The first personal trainer had agreed to work with me for $50 per session. As we were arranging the time for the first session he informed me that the rate ha gone up to $100 per session. Very unethical. The second trainer seemed to have the inability to communicate. He would ghost me for days even though he said he wanted to work with me. Not very trustworthy. The third wanted to be paid by Apple gift cards. Strange but ok. Then he informed me that I needed to send him $25 gift card so he could get things for our first session. SCAM!!! Do not use this program. Personal trainers cannot be trusted that I have been in contact with.

They are threatening and were to begin with.
Then came the scams non stop and not one real student! This is not only illegal but I’m suing for discrimination that no real person is seeking my help and because you owe me money and because you are evil and corrupt and not only not doing anything about the corruption and scams but are promoting it and doing nothing about it! Three times I was threatened by fake profiles and the company did nothing about it! Luckily I’m smart enough. Sadly it’s your fault SuperProf and you’re all going to jail!!!!

they trick you to use a free session but only give you access to instructors by student pass and because it s an educational website you don’t see it coming and they keep charging you - when subscription is not clear and people get list you need to change your ways,

Session and just realized this !!! I have reached out to Superprof and they answer was not to refund my money but to canceled my subsection which I was intended to have in the first place -

Terrible experience. Paid $49 to have access to the Student Pass. Contacted 2 tutors who did not reply. Asked for my money back because I got NOTHING out of this service and they refused to refund me because I sent 2 tutors a message. Explain how this makes any sense if the tutors DON'T REPLY. Absolutely no customer service here from Kiara who did not sympathize at all. DO NOT USE.

They trick you into automatic payments. I only noticed when a second payment went off of my PayPal. I basically paid €78 for a teacher to tell me they’re not available. Stay away from this app!

Superprof has tons of tutors on their site who put ‘available to meet in a public place’ but when you message them, they are only willing to sit in their own home, do a videocall, and have you send them $40-50 per hour. Don’t waste your money on a subscription

They will charge you right away with false claims for first class free, as it never happens, My son tried contacting one professor through this platform, he met the professor who just gave intro about himself in that meeting and no study at all, and we were charged. later when i tried to contact them they don't have any one to answer and they blame the Professor as he charged us the money when contacted the professor directly he said I neve received anything yet.

They made me pay 49 dollars a month. There is a hidden design pattern that you pay without realizing. Be careful!!!

They've been billing my card every month for four years after trying their site once.

It's on me for not noticing. But not impressed.

I originally was just trying to contact a tutor, but had no idea it would charge me 50$ just to do so. After realizing what had happened, I contacted support right away and received an email from Nils.
Within minutes, Nils had responded and fixed/clarified my situation and all with kindess.

I give four stars because it does not notify you really much at all regarding needing to pay simply to contact someone but I’m not going lower because Nils was a superb service member and should be valued highly.

We were looking for a tutor and decided to try Superprof Canada. We requested a tutor through the platform, and a deposit was immediately charged from our account. We were told that the tutor would contact us within an hour.

However, the tutor did not contact us within an hour, or even within the same day. We only received a response two days later. By that time, we had already found another tutor on a different platform who replied quickly and professionally.

We requested a refund because no tutoring service had actually been provided, but our request has been delayed for almost three weeks now. We keep receiving unclear explanations, references to “external conditions,” and still don’t have any resolutions.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. In our opinion, the platform is not customer-oriented, especially when it comes to supporting clients and handling refund requests fairly. According to Canadian consumer rights standards, refusing a refund for a service that was never provided is very disappointing.

Maybe this platform works well for teachers, but based on our experience, I would not recommend it for people looking for a tutor.

I had a very disappointing experience with Superprof.
The subscription and payment structure was not explained clearly enough during the registration process, and the overall service turned out to be very confusing from a customer perspective. The tutor only replied two days later, by which time I no longer needed the service, and no meaningful tutoring assistance was ever actually provided.
I requested a refund shortly afterwards, however instead of trying to resolve the issue fairly, customer support continued sending lengthy responses quoting their Terms and Conditions rather than addressing the practical reality that no real service had been delivered.
What makes this especially frustrating is that ordinary people work hard for their money and reasonably expect fair treatment when a service provides little or no actual value. In most normal consumer situations, customers are given a reasonable opportunity to cancel or request a refund when something was unclear, misleading, or never truly used in a meaningful way.
From my perspective, the platform’s billing practices feel misleading, inflexible, and not customer-friendly. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before subscribing.

Update: The company asked me to continue the discussion privately through Trustpilot, however no refund has been issued at this time.

Update: Despite no real lessons being conducted and no meaningful services being provided, Superprof continues to refuse refunds, dragging the matter out in lengthy, repetitive, and tedious email exchanges.

Instead of resolving the issue fairly and professionally, the support team constantly refers to the internal Terms and Conditions, asks for more and more explanations, and unnecessarily complicates the process for the client.

From my personal experience, I can say that this platform is misleading, inflexible, and completely unfocused. I sincerely regret signing up and strongly recommend that others think very carefully before signing up for this service or providing payment information.

I am from London Ontario using Superprof for awhile as singing lesson teacher. Their referrals have been great.

I have been working with Superprof for many years now, and I honestly have nothing to complain about. They do a great job of connecting tutors with potential students, and many of my current students found me through the platform.

Their system works very well: it automatically adjusts lesson times according to different time zones and consistently follows the payment transfer procedures. On the few occasions when I encountered a problem, I contacted their support team and received not only a quick response, but also a fast and effective solution.

I was charged a student pass and never retained any services, when I wrote to the company to request a refund I was told I had agreed, and I contested this, although they never replie dback apart from claiming it was my mistake. This is called FRAUD

As a tutor, they are a great platform for getting new students. I've been on here for about 4 years now, and about 80% of my students come from here.

Overall it's a decent app, I found few students from thus platform but tutor competition is definitely high

Superprof is an awesome platform for both tutors and students. It provides a clear, well-structured system with rules and guidelines that protect both sides. As a tutor, I feel secure knowing there are transparent expectations, and as a platform, it makes communication and scheduling smooth and reliable. Overall, it’s a trustworthy and professional space for learning and teaching.
