Do not shop at Supreme Furniture…
Do not shop at Supreme Furniture Artarmon unless you want to be misled about fabric protection, then upon delivery, receive products which are stained and display such poor workmanship.
This is what we experienced when buying 2 sofas in March.When paying the deposit, the sales assistant asked if we wanted to take out a guarantee for fabric protection for 5 years at a cost of $199:00. She explained how the process worked, which was upon delivery to ring the company Guardsman, who would send someone to our place to treat the furniture with the product. We asked her twice about this process as we were very sceptical of what she said. Before delivery of the sofas we rang to have the process clarified to be told that it was not true. We were told we could have a refund so went to the store to do so, but then were
told we would not have the protection. Talk about confusion!
After 10 weeks our sofas were delivered in May. Upon unwrapping them we observed many stains, puckered fabric, crooked seams and the list goes on!
We immediately rang the Artarmon store and spoke to the manager who asked for photos of the problems to be sent. As well as doing this we went to the store to express our disappointment.
After looking at ACCC website we knew we had the right to request a refund so contacted the manager to state our intention. The customer service offered by him at the Artarmon store was appalling. The majority of our phone calls and emails were not returned and when they were, to “add insult to injury” we were offered $200:00 compensation.
Finally, after much communication with Fair Trading and our bank we were offered a temporary credit card chargeback. Supreme Furniture rejected our claims and presented untrue facts to the investigation.
This process has just been resolved in our favour, but only after waiting for five and a half months and our insistence to get what we were entitled to.
So, in order to avoid this sort of stress in your life, my recommendation is to AVOID Supreme Furniture and take your business elsewhere.
