The survey was done quickly and efficiently

Very easy to book and the report was detailed and contained everything I needed to know. As were in a rush, I was also able to speak to the surveyor on the phone to the details before receiving the full report which really helped us out.

Great price, surveyor themselves seemed a bit lost when speaking to them but got the survey sorted and delivered in a good time

I needed to get an additional home buyers report as I was not happy about just getting a valuation report from my mortgage company. I contacted Surveyor Local, who arranged my report for me. I had the report within three days of the survey. Fast efficient and very detailed. worth the cost I would recommend this company to everyone. I have piece of mind going into my purchase.

Surveyor Local were great and organised my survey with a highly rated local surveyor with virtually no issue. The only hiccup came when the surveyor local advised I would be able to meet the surveyor in person but the surveying company said they did not do that. Make sure you check with the actual surveyor if you have any more specific questions other than that highly recommend!

The report gave a clear description of problems and costings for repairs although it was done very quickly, I was told on the phone that he would be there for half a day and look under floors etc but he only took an hour and commented on things visible from ground level. I paid a lot of money for what I thought was a full structural survey but actually was only an ordinary survey so feel a little disappointed. The surveyor himself was nice and friendly and the report clear to understand.

It was very easy to book and the survey was done within a few days.

Accessibly written and comprehensive report from a friendly and responsive surveyor.

We purchased a house-buyers report. The survey was arranged within 24 hours from a booking made on Sunday. The survey was completed within a week and the report was detailed.
The surveyor also had an in-depth conversation to describe his findings and how they compared with similar houses so we could establish reasonable expectations.
We initially compared prices and found Surveyor Local near the cheapest. The fact we could arrange it all on a Sunday made it easy for us.

Overall, extremely satisfied.

Generally pleased with the overall service provided. The valuation was produced very quickly following the survey.

Please do not waste your time or energy on this company (or their sister company 'Best Value Surveys'). We have had nothing but a catalogue of errors and a 3 week delay! The details are below - but it boils down to lies, no communication and apparently no ability/ intention to deliver what they have promised (even having provided a "guarantee" in writing).
At the beginning the company seemed very friendly and accommodating - no problem lots of local surveyors who can carry out a building survey, 'Mitchell' assured me this could be carried out in 3 - 5 working days but that they would aim for that week. 'Harry' later called my husband a few days later apologising saying that they couldn't do the survey until 2 weeks later but instead could offer a 'Home Conditioning Survey' which was, "the same as a building survey but with pictures and clearer explanations" and that it was usually more expensive but they would settle with the already paid amount and they could carry that out the following week. This seemed like a fair compromise. The very next day we receive a missed call from a surveyor who is apparently on his way to the property (tried calling back - no answer). Spoke with 'Harry' from Surveyor Local - no survey had been carried out, oh wait let me check yes a survey was carried, they will call me back and let me know what has been happening. No call. A couple of days after this I phone and speak with 'Harry' again, no need to worry the report will be with you in the next day or so. The following day I get a call from the estate agents - when is the survey going to take place? The vendors are concerned as the survey was cancelled! I phone 'Harry' from Surveyor Local and ask what is going on - they will find out and his manager 'Maxwell' will call me back. No call. I phone them and ask to speak with Maxwell - oh dear sorry not aware I was to call you, he went on (after calling me the wrong name for half the conversation) that now it would be another 3 weeks before they could book in a Building Survey or I could have a Home Condition Survey (with a small goodwill gesture) and this could take place in 2 days and (which they would guarantee in writing). I was annoyed but thought at least this would happen and we could move forward... Next day I get an answer machine message and an email from 'Anna' from the sister company 'Best Value Surveys', at 4:10pm the day before the supposed survey telling me they have to cancel but can do the weekend! After this catalogue of errors I phone up and get put through to 'Anna' and after explaining this to her I get a limp apology and the offer of the weekend - at which point I have had enough with putting myself through this torment - I request a full refund (which will ironically take 3-5 working days - let's see if that actually happens!!!)
My advice is do not touch this company with a barge pole - they quite simply are incapable of doing the service that they offer and apparently don't care that they are messing up peoples sales/ purchases. AVOID!
