The quality of the meat is consistently high. Meat arrives promptly and well packaged

Excellent sausages, clearly expertly prepared - no mealiness, good fat content, good seasoning not overpowering (all of which is not common in UK). Excellent cuts of beef (bavette and onglet). Pork chops however had quite strong boar taint, making them hard to eat.

* DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY * complete scam! HOT, SMELLING, BAD MEAT SENT TO ME!
Ordered steaks for a party they came smelling and in bad condition! Contacted then immediately and told to send pictures which did ! Made me get off steaks out of the bin to take pictures!
THEN REFUSED TO RESOLVE ANYTHING! Horrendous level of customer service too! Said WONT HELP OR DO ANYTING !
Avoid like the plague ! Il be perusing this as never had anything like this simply awful!

THEY NOW GIVEN SOME NONSENSE REPLY about not sending pictures which I did! THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY!

They responded saying I sent no proof and no photos and I did, this food could have made me and my family seriously sick !

Great products and communication! My only concern is the use of DPD. No fault of Swaledale but one of my packages arrived open and the other half of it was delivered to the wrong address. Other than DPD, this is the best online butchers in the country!

I love this company and their products! I don’t know what to rave about first. I started using the company for their grass fed, heritage breeds and nose to tail butchery and have been absolutely delighted with the product. I am a repeat customer and the quality has been top notch every time, absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the artisan steaks and ox cheek is my new favourite for a stew. If there are cuts I am unfamiliar with, the website has all the instructions and recipes I need. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the prices and recommend keeping an eye on the specials each month as, for example, I bought top rump on offer that was £15 per kg! The supermarkets are at least £18 per kg. Customer service and delivery have been excellent. Gorgeous, healthy food that is good for me, better for the animals, good for the environment and no one is being gouged by millionaires; happy days. Oh and I like that the packing insulation is recyclable too.

What sets a company apart is how the deal with customer issues. Swaledale have amazing and flavoursome meats and they combine those with excellent and speedy customer service! Please keep up these extremely high standards.

High quality of grass fed beef with an excellent range to choose from. Delivered in a cool box with ice and on time. Tasty recipes for each type of meat is a welcomed bonus. Great online butchers, definitely recommend!

UPDATE: Suffered diarrhoea after consuming their pork. Please avoid this butchers.

Fantastic meat as always from Swaledale. This is the second time we've served one of their shoulders of mutton to guests and both times it's been a big hit. Their steaks and sausages are also superb. Highly recommended.
