Stunning quality - worth every penny.
Ordered a porchetta and a cote de bouef. We had the porchetta and quality of meat and pork sausage stuffing was stunning. Worth every penny. Best pork I’ve ever had. Delivery was also slick and meat was packaged very well and sustainably. I will be back.

I have had three different orders so…
I have had three different orders so far and cannot fault the delivery service or the quality of the meat.
Everything was fresh and I was able to freeze items not used on the day.
I will shortly be placing another order and will continue to do so. Last order number: 91057.

Brisket to die for
The order arrived well packaged and was delivered in line with the timescales given.
Having previously sought out grain fed brisket i thought id take a chance on this grass fed one based on the description. I can honestly say its been the best brisket ive smoked. Did an overnight smoke for 9 hours, last few hours wrapped in butcher paper with some of the fat i rendered down from a slight trim and then rested in towels and a coolbox for 3 hours. Results were unbelievabley good it was juicy, tender lovely bend and smoke ring. This will be my goto brisket of choice from now on.
Also ordered some merquez sausages, have to say they werent proper merquez imho, but were a damned fine sausage nonetheless.

Great service, great meat.
The meat that I order was delivered on my required date. Have not eaten it all yet but that which we have has been very good, plenty of flavour and tender. Good choice of meats, including some cuts that I have not experienced before and all reasonably priced.

Can't comment on the quality of the meat. It was sent Friday and not arrived by Sunday afternoon. So this is more a 1 star review of DPD. But Swaledale have no phone number for customer support,
Update: Swaledale have refunded. Have re-ordered.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear there was a delay with your delivery. Whilst DPD is responsible for fulfilment, we understand how frustrating it can be - especially when you're left uncertain about the condition of your order.
As noted in our FAQs, our insulated packaging is designed to keep your order in optimal condition for over 48 hours from the time it leaves Swaledale HQ. In the rare event that the quality is compromised, we’ll always make it right - which we were happy to do in this case.
We're pleased you’ve chosen to re-order, and while this was clearly a service issue rather than a product one, we’re grateful for the chance to put things right.
For future reference, we handle all customer service via email to ensure we can track and resolve issues as efficiently as possible.

Thanks for your feedback — we’re glad you enjoyed the tenderness of the meat itself. Lamb chops are a naturally bone-in cut, and whilst that structure contributes greatly to flavour during cooking, we understand it can feel like there’s less yield. That said, we’ll pass this on to our butchery team for review — and if ever in doubt, we’re happy to recommend alternative cuts with a higher meat-to-bone ratio.
