Decided to try Tap a Taxi this morning having seen their insta posts and wanted to support a new Irish enterprise. Unfortunately the car never arrived even though a driver had been assigned. Texted the driver but got no response, called the support centre but nobody was available.
I cancelled the booking 15 minutes after the agreed time and got a freenow in minutes.

Mostly fine but serious issues with pre-booking. Twice i was let down for important hospital appointments. First one, 6 different drivers accepted the booking and dropped it and the final driver cancelled a few minutes before the booking time. And left me high and dry. The second booking the driver accepted, was 15 minutes late and then cancelled. My mum was getting surgery.

Great First Experience. Used Tapataxi a couple of times in the city centre. They were quick to arrive, app is easy to use, and the prices were a bit lower than same trips taken before with other taxi apps. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Started using this company a few months ago when it was new, as I had heard it was an Irish taxi company and wanted to support local .. last few fares have been way over what they should have been. The most recent 2 local journeys , said a certain amount on the app but when we arrived we were charged €6 more , on our return ( same journey) we were charged €11 more than the first quote from the first local ride.. The driver on the return ride went round in circles purposely , and we told him at the time ( we live in the area and were only going local) ..we will not be using this company again . Back to free now as they are much better value and more reliable.The no hidden fees advertised on tap a taxi are false!!

The driver arrived 10 mins early sat at end of road with meter running kept trying to turn left when we and sat nav said go right did not know how to get onto m50 or what exit for airport €14 on fare as we got into it for 2 people with 2 carry on bags

Wait times can be a few minutes more than Freenow but fares are far more reasonable. No hidden costs, and no ambiguous "technology fee". A trip that previously cost me €21 tonight cost me €17. Couldn't recommend enough.

There was only one Taxi available and this was a 12 minute wait. There is a €3, charge when using this APP, the driver was waiting at the back of my apartment, he had the meter running, I tried calling him, his phone, it just rang out, eventually he came around to the front of my apartment block.
I'll never use this APP again, as it was the most expensive fare that I've ever paid going to the airport.
FREENOW is a lot cheaper and there are more taxis available.

Terrible experience from first-time booking. Ride cancelled 1 minute before pick-up time while waiting with 93 year old mother at her nursing home - had ordered 3 days before. Completely stranded and family birthday dinner plans ruined as a result .

I have booked taxies a number of times in the last two months. They have come promptly and without fail. The drivers have been helpful and good humoured. Fares are reasonable. I have difficulty getting in to cars, but have been helped patiently by each driver. I recommend this new Irish company. Happy to support them.

This service is the worst taxi service I have used, normally use Freenow and registered to use this service for an early morning booking to Dublin Airport, pre booked the day before and got over ten different notifications of a different driver assigned, then a driver rang and told me he was 10 minutes away, then I got another notification to say it was cancelled and no other drivers were available, the app also showed my journey was completed, a scam of the highest order, only reason for 1 star is I couldn’t give it a zero rating, thankfully I managed to get a driver with Freenow last minute. Avoid this company if want a reliable service
