We went with Taylor Roofs off the back of recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed. The team were hardworking, Aaron was extremely responsive to questions and issues arising on site and we have a lovely looking roof as a result.
The four star review is nothing to do with the on-site team as they were fab (as is the office team) but due to changes in staff, there were a couple of hiccups which, to be fair, were resolved quickly.

From our initial contact for a roof survey done by Aaron to Allie and Sharon keeping us up to date on when the works would start it has been smooth , professional and worry free. The team sent to replace our roof and guttering were led by Craig, Shai and Thomas, all worked extremely hard completing the work to a very high standard. Every day they cleaned any debis from the site and kept me up to date on progress. I highly recommend Taylors to anyone needing roof work done ( esp if Craig is in charge!)

We recently moved property and realised we needed all new guttering and downpipes. From the first contact with Taylor roofs to installation of the guttering and downpipes the communication was excellent. The staff who spoke to us on the phone were helpful and courteous and the chaps who did the installation (Shai and Adam) were excellent and kept us up to date with what work they had done and what they would do the following day (it took 2.5 day to do the work). They also replaced a number of cracked tiles which they identified while doing the work. All in all the work was professionally done. The price for fair and it comes with a guarantee. We would thoroughly recommend this company. Thanks

I had dry verges fitted by Taylor Roofs. The surveyor who came went up a ladder to inspect the roof before providing the quote, unlike others, so this inspired confidence. He said there was one cracked tile that would need replaced and I mentioned I had 4 colour-matched weathered spares.

The two young guys who came to do the work were friendly and from what I can tell did a decent job of the dry verge itself, which they completed over 2 days. However, a total of around 26 tiles were broken in the process, of which they told me 7 were found cracked. They said they were tricky to remove without breaking. At one point some tiles they had set aside slid down off the main roof onto the lower extension roof, also breaking a couple of tiles there, but thankfully missing the nearby velux window. They replaced all broken tiles with new ones (after using my 4 spares) but of course shiny new tiles stick out like a sore thumb and will take years to blend in (if ever). They're smooth grey, not the same colour or texture as the original (rough dark red), although replacing them with the original colour would have looked even worse as the rest of the roof is now a dirty grey. They went to the effort of putting all the new tiles in the least visible corner of the roof, so they have at least tried to minimise the visual impact.

I fed this back to their management team to express my disappointment, asking how they planned to rectify this, along with a couple of suggestions I had obtained (replacement with reclaimed weathered tiles, or staining the new tiles with a specialist concrete-penetrating roof stain). The response I got offered no apology, claiming breakages were to be expected on a roof of this age, and that neither of my suggested solutions was recommended. There are many houses in my area of similar age (1960s) with dry verges installed, and I have not seen any with obvious patches of new tiles, so I don't believe this level of breakages is to be expected.

11 days after the work was completed they sent me the invoice, with an issue date 1 day before completion of the work and a payment-due date of the day after they sent it. It stated that their preferred payment method was bank transfer, and card and online payments would incur a processing fee. The payment link provided included a processing fee (even before selecting a payment method). This has been illegal since 2018, as payment surcharges are now only permitted for corporate cards. When challenged they sent a new link with the surcharge removed (no apology), stating the due date was accurate as payment was due on completion of works.

Overall a disappointing experience and now I'm stuck with an obvious patch of new tiles on my roof. Not a roofing company I would recommend.

Taylor Roofs were professional, friendly and communicative from start to finish. It reassured us a lot that they had premises we could visit to see samples and refine our quote. Others quoted cheaper, but we’ve made that mistake before and always regretted it- worth paying Taylor Roofs for the quality job they did, with polite workers, a dedicated project manager Aaron who was on site most days and updates when rain stopped work at any point. Our insurance company asked for documentation which they provided before work started. Plus their billing was professional and organised. Trustworthy company which understands importance of customer satisfaction to their reputation. Would recommend highly.

From the initial visit by Stewart to inspect the roof, inside and out, for a water leak he quickly found where there was damage. The reasonable quote, presented almost immediately, was accepted and the work scheduled. When started everything went to plan in an efficient manner with scaffolding and skip hire presented the day before. The repair was finished in 3 days to our satisfaction with the workforce tidying the area completely. A very professional company to deal with from start to finish.

Taylor Roofing were quick to respond to my initial enquiry and arranged the bird‑proofing work on my roof very promptly. The roofers who carried out the job were polite, courteous, and professional throughout. The work was completed to a high standard, and I’m very pleased with the result. If I ever need any further roofing repairs, I would happily contact Taylor Roofing again.

Fantastic job by Taylor Roofs. The whole process was seamless and professional from start to finish. Stewart carried out the survey and provided the quote, and the work involved replacing the soffits, fascias, gutters and downpipes on my detached property, including the garage.

Darryl and Robbie did an excellent job and were joined by Craig and Adam on the final day. They all worked extremely hard and the quality of the work was fantastic.

This is the second time I have used Taylor Roofs, and I would have no hesitation in using them again. I would definitely recommend them.

We requested a survey as we've had issues with our guttering and from initial contact, right the way through to survey and report, the customer service was fantastic. On this occasion we didn't require any additional works, but Stewart was very reassuring and informative on solutions to help prevent further problems.

Pleasure to deal with from initial enquiry to job completion. Had my mother in law’s garage roof done after they had a previous cowboy rip them off. Guys did a great job and can tell has been done by professionals. Would definitely recommend Taylor Roofs.

I can't comment on how good Taylor are at roofing. However, my experience with their quotation process was really poor. It all started well with the surveyor letting me know he was on his way and then arriving on time. He inspected inside the loft (I did suggest this so not sure if he was going to anyway) and also inspected the roof. The total time spent was 30 mins although during my original call I had been advised that the process would take an hour. The surveyor indicated that he would have a quote to me by the end of the week (survey was on a Tuesday). I called him late on the Friday to be told that he needed a scaffolder to carry out a visit as the house shape provided some challenges. Now a further 6 days on (and 13 days after the survey), I've heard nothing back from Taylor Roofs and I don't expect I'll hear from them again. If Taylor didn't want the work, I wouldn't have minded but it would have been courteous to let me know.
