I had a booking for a service but received no call and nobody turned up. It transpired the part was not available. I had to chase them and I have been promised a refund in up to 21 days.
What they should do better:
Pre screen vehicles before accepting the booking for a service
Call in advance of service (which is promised) to inform customer of situation and avoid time wasting
Give refunds in a quicker timeframe

I had an interim service carried out at home by Lucian and found him to be friendly, helpful, gave good advice and professional in his work. Would use the Mobile Mechanic service again in the future.

It was straight forward and I didn’t have any problems with booking the appointment for MOT.

It wasn't so much the company it was more the mobile mechanic who came out to service my car. He was very efficient and amicable of my requirements. Finished the work in a time managed fashion.

A very convenient way to get the work done on my car. Timely appointment and friendly mechanic. Very pleased with the price compared to what a local garage had quoted for exactly the same work.

I’ve dropped a star because getting the invoice and payment sorted was so difficult in our case. What you would assume to be automatic took from the appointment in June until September. This was despite talking to ‘bots’ and sending an email to chase the lack of paperwork and highlight the pending payment. When payment finally got taken, it happened with no warning whatsoever 2.5 months post the work being undertaken which could have been problematic if there hadn’t been funds.

Great service delivered on my driveway and at a great price . Thank you for the confidence you have given me driving my car and for the brilliant service from breakdown to repair. Exceptional!

Very disappointing experience unfortunately. I wasn't notified that they weren't attending on the day they were supposed to after waiting to be given a time slot, which I was never given and after I rang up they stated this would now be the following day at 9am. I then had to ring to find out what was happening the following day as they never came at 9am and was informed that this was now moved to 14:30. The lack of communication was the main issue because I had to keep ringing up myself to find out the information after already making plans for the time slots given. So overall it wasn't a nice experience but the one positive was that the mechanic did a good job when he eventually arrived.

The mechanic was on time, thorough and very polite, gave me some good advice about bits I was concerned on. The convenience of being able to be at home for this and also spreading the cost was a great bonus. Would use again.

One criticism of the advert: the promised morning phone call to give an estimated time of arrival no longer exists. I therefore wasted my time chasing this up to see if there was a problem with my booking.
This should be removed.
Elliot phoned me 15 mins before which was great.

Booking with AA Smart Care is straightforward and uncomplicated.
The price for my MOT was very competitive.
I was able to make changes to my booking relatively easily.
I was very satisfied with the garage that carried out my MOT.

The mechanic was prompt, Polite and did a great job on my car. He explained what he had done.

From booking online, to the MOT & Service day I was kept well informed of what was going to happen. I had a booked a collect and return service, and it was conducted in a very efficient manner.
The staff were friendly.

Booked 2 car services, 1 for last week, one for Oct. The first one never showed up, when I called to check I was told I would have to re-book (by someone who didn’t want to be there and sounded like they just got out of bed). I called yesterday to check the re-booked service and was told it was fine. Then a few hours later someone left me a voicemail saying they can’t do the booked appointment now and I have to re-book for the afternoon, which we can’t do. Their customer service and scheduling is awful (it seems outsourced, rather than the AA themselves). The website is also terrible, I booked a mobile service and the booking details tells me I need to take it to the garage! I cancelled both bookings and I won’t be using them again.

The technician Joe was very professional and friendly and did a great job. Completely hassle free appointment and would definitely recommend this service rather than going to garages in person.

Booked service and MOT through the AA for a Saturday. Left my car at the garage then they called about an hour later saying I need to phone the AA to authorise the service (there was nothing in the booking confirmation about this). I called the AA, the relevant department was closed and the response was, phone back on Monday (so essentially go and collect my car and re-book the service for another day). The garage seem to have done a major service within about an hour which makes you wonder how thorough it was for almost £300.
