I bought a refurbished Knoll Generation Task Chair from these guys. It took about 2 weeks for my chair to arrive to Germany after the date of purchase.

8 month later a lift mechanism's lever broke, the customer support was very kind to send me a replacement chair. So I really have nothing to complain about. I'm looking forward for an opportunity to order something from them again in the future.

AVOID AVOID if you value your sanity and time. I paid for a Herman Miller aeron classic chair refurb for £550 waited patiently for weeks. Had the obligatory email to say there was a delay at the 10 business day mark, gave it a few weeks more, made contact with them with more delays being cited. They appear to be selling what they haven't got otherwise it wouldn't take 5 weeks or more. I asked for a delivery date and gave them a deadline if not met would request a refund. Had no reply after another 7 or more days after the deadline. I requested a refund, heard nothing so requested a section 75 from the bank as paid by credit card which I highly recommend. The day after, they replied stating the refund will be started. The money was back in my bank in less than 5 days so thanks for that. Glad its over with them, I bought a Herman Miller refurb from DES London and got the chair in mint condition for £429 in 4 days, TOC be like DES London and you will succeed, your business model is pure rubbish

I waited almost a month after my order to write this review.

I gave the business far more than ten working days, yet I didn’t receive my order, even after following up several times via email.

Luckily, I paid using a credit card.

I am disappointed as I like to support small businesses where possible.

Avoid this company! I have not received the chair i ordered almost 2 months ago. Communications have been very poor and I am now struggling to get my money refunded. Do not use this company if you need to actually receive your order or want your money back.

I ordered a single chair on the 27th of July this year. I contacted them after the 15 work day delivery period and asked if my order was coming, which is where they surprisingly responded immediately telling me about the backlog issue and that no delivery date could really be set. I was fine with the response since I wasn't necessarily in any kind of rush. It has now been 63 days since my order was made and any attempts to contact them go ignored with no sign of my delivery. I am genuinely worried that I won't be receiving my order or money back since I have no clue where to even go for a refund.

I strongly recommend you avoid ordering from this seller until they sort out their issues.

It took a while for the chair to come initially but I was told this was due to each chair being refurbished to order. When it did arrive, the chair was in poor condition, definitely not 'refurbished to original condition' as stated on the website and hadn't even been cleaned. The arm mechanism wasn't working correctly and they were very loose. After a bit of back and forth, I agreed for the chair to be sent back for repair. I have emailed on a number of occasions for an update since but the replies have stopped. Here I am 2 months on, no chair, no sign of a refund or resolution. Although this is a cheap option, I would advise anyone to pay the extra and go with a different company and avoid the headache.

Great communication via email with clear instructions about delivery process when I asked (had to follow up because confirmation email went to spam which I didn't check)

Purchase arrived around 10 days after order.

The item is like new, I was a little worried if fabrics could be soiled but the refurbishment is great and at a fraction of the price this is a 10/10 purchase.

Would definitely recommend and I can't understand why there are negative reviews here.

Ordered a refurbished leap v2 from this company. It came in very poor quality, they clearly try to source the cheapest chairs possible and slap some new padding on.

No reply from the customer support team during or after purchase. No hope of a return of refund. The chair is already making squeaking noises after a few weeks and its very hard to adjust the height.

Definitely avoid and buy from somewhere else, even though the lower price may be tempting.

There is no communication from them about the status of the order, when the chair will arrive or any tracking details. They have taken my money (which is not cheap even for a refurbished version) and no communication.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered a Humanscale chair, and only after ordering saw negative the reviews. I don’t usually post here but wanted to offer balance: all went smoothly for me. I’m pleased with the chair and the refurbishment, it was dispatched on time, delivered quickly and packaged well. And it was by far the cheapest option. I agree that the emails don’t instil confidence, and some went to junk. But apart from that, all excellent.

Miserable experience. I ordered a chair that was listed as "in stock." I received my order confirmation and was told that it would be delivered within 8-10 working days. Fast forward to 7 weeks later, and I'm still without a chair. In between, I was told that the chair components had arrived two weeks ago and my chair would be delivered within the week. Nope. If you need a chair, don't count on them to deliver it.

As with all other reviews. Ordered in June with a 2 week delivery and still have not received my order. Have been given multiple conflicting reasons as to the delays but they will not commit to any delivery date.

Customer service are rude and disinterested. Absolutely no empathy. I can not believe that Trading Standards have not been involved with this company as of yet. Would not recommend anyone else taking the risk with this organisation.

Avoid at all costs, when i placed the order it stated one left in stock, so i spent nearly £600 which you had to take out delivery insurance (should have smelt a rat then) after 16 days of placing the order they now tell me chair not in stock and they are making one especially :-) but no idea when i will see it, i have therefore cancelled the order, go elsewhere people, the positive feedbacks are more than likely employees or family and friends of the business

Ordered a refurbished Humanscale Freedom Headrest Chair on July 9th. Over a month laterm still no chair, no firm ETA, just vague “backlog” excuses.

Looking at other reviews here, my experience is not unique: missed delivery promises, poor communication, and endless delays. Wish I’d seen these before ordering.

Feels like exactly what others have called it: a scam.

Very disappointed - where is my order?
Ordered a Herman Miller Aeron chair 9th of July, chased the company on 22nd as had heard nothing, was told to wait the full 10 working days before asking for an update. So I did wait, and nothing. Only after chasing again on the 24th was I told about a 'backlog' and they'd have my order with me 'soon'. In good faith I accepted this and waited another week, and nothing.
Third chase was on 30th of July explicitly requesting a specific delivery date range, this was not given, instead I was now told they're waiting for a part to be delivered to them to finish the refurb. It's now nearly a month since I ordered and frankly fed up with the lack of clarity and the changing story. I have now very clearly stated to them that if I do not receive delivery details after 30 calendar days since ordering, I will cancel my order and expect a full refund.
Backlog or not, take the initiative to be open and honest with your customers about any delays and offer compensation BEFORE they have to chase you if you cannot meet expectations. Clearly I am not the only customer who has had this experience and it does not leave a good impression of how this company is run.

This is an update to a previous review.

Having received no information about shipping for three weeks, and no information from customer support, they immediately shipped out order after posting a negative review here.

That order just arrived.

We have opened one of two boxes so far.

What we are now in possession of is essentially a large lump of scrap that we are going to have to pay to dispose of.

First, the unit was not 'refurbished.' It looks like it was picked up for free from a scrap yard, then bundled into a box and sent to us. Rusted and dirty. Taking a couple of wet wipes to it started to clean it up a lot, which mainly shows that they did literally nothing to 'refurbish it.'

Then, when we took it from the box, we found that the drawers were broken. Top drawer is locked, no key.

Bottom drawer won't open.

Middle and bottom are both on runners that have come loose.

This is just a large and heavy lump of scrap metal.

I've been waiting for my chair for over a month. I was supposed to receive my chair within 14 business days. The order was placed on June 27, and I still haven't received anything.

I have contacted customer support multiple times, and they have told me that some parts are missing and have not given me an estimated delivery time for the order.

There is no update on my order on their website; they are not transparent with customer information. I waited a long time to post this review, giving them a chance to do their job efficiently, but since they are unable to do so, here it is.

I will probably file a dispute with PayPal for a refund.

TL;DR: they are not serious, avoid them.

Ordered chair. They then inform you that it will take ten days to refurbish chair to order. No updates. After one month request refund. They agree but no action is taken. I am trying to get refund through my bank.

At first, I really thought this was a scam because they took my money and I didn't hear anything for weeks. It's a two star review now up from one because customer service and communication are virtually non existent, and it took absolutely bloody ages to get here. I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron Chair on the 2nd July 2025 on the promise it was a 7-10 day delivery. It finally arrived on the 15th August, 28 days over due. They did send and email on the 10th day say it would be delayed but not for long. Now it's almost a money and I've heard nothing. The phone number didn't get answered so I sent an email. I simply asked when and they responded saying they were far busier than normal and they are working through a small backlog.
Believing it was a scam I did a bit of research into the company and discovered a shady struck off history but it turned out that wasn't the current owners who apparently bought the business last year off the administrators. Of course the parentage of their new identity isn't mentioned anywhere on their website pretty much like it wasn't mentioned on the previous company's either.
Anyway, enough rant about how long it took and the feeling I had in the pit of my stomach that I'd been conned; I received my chair eventually and very nice it is too. It really does look like new! It was delivered well packaged although the parcel tracking is a story in itself. I received an email out of the blue informing me the chair had been dispatched but when I checked courier's website at 7.00pm that same evening it said "the ticket had been raised". The next stage was to be "we have your package", followed by all the other stages of transport hubs and then "out for delivery" and finally "delivered", only when got to work at 9.30 the next morning the package was there, which was a nice surprise!

I did say that if I ever received the Herman Miller Aeron Chair that I would update the record accordingly and here I have.

To those thinking about buying from the Office Crowd: Consider, there are an awful lot of low star feedbacks here but if want a good fully restored Herman Miller Aeron Chair there is not that many places to buy from. So if you can stand the long wait and utter silence from the customer service I'd say go for it. At least you'll have a nice surprise when the chair you bought and thought was lost suddenly turns up out of the blue!

What the Office Crowd need to do is under promise and over deliver, not the other way around.
