Fantastic biltong and droewors
Fantastic biltong and droewors. Lovely choice of SA groceries too. And the owners are happy to order in things you ask for, if they're available to the UK. They're also very particular about the quality of everything they sell. Nothing is too much trouble. This all said by a born and bred South African.

I ordered some beer and my age was successful verified online.after waiting for days they later told me I don't qualify to buy the beer and refunded me the money which doesn't make sense because I'm 28..

Thank you so much for highlighting the fact we take the selling of Alcohol on line very very seriously and will not under any circumstances send any alcohol orders out that don't pass our on line verification process (Fully approved by Trading Standards)
Quickly looking at your order that came in on
25th Dec 2023 15.36 (Christmas day), you then got in contact with us on the 27th December 2023 10.10am (Via Our on line messaging service) and 10.16am (Via email) asking when you order would be delivered.
We cant apologise enough and are truly very sorry that we didn't get in touch via a phone call until the 27th December 10.18am (1min 10sec phone call) to explain that you had not passed our legally required age check to allow us to send out your order. We had clearly displayed on our on line store that any orders made after the 18th December 2023 would not be sent until after the 4th Jan 2024 as we were closed. We made the decision to call you and let you know that your order would not be sent out for two reasons the main one that you had failed our on line Age verification process (A legal requirement when selling Alcohol on line) and that we guessed you would be needing the order asap. As its the season of good will (even when we were closed) we called you to explain this and offered you an immediate refund on your order so you could source your requirements else where in case you needed in over Christmas you accepted this and the refund was processed at 10.21am. Yes you did explain that you were 28, (sadly this declaration over the phone isn't sufficient to verify your age and can not submitted in court of law as evidence) and asked why we couldn't send it and again we explained that we have some very stringent rules and regulation when selling Alcohol on line and we are not prepared to send any orders out that fail our age check process, this would be breaking the law and carry's a possible custodial sentence.
We are a little confused about your statement of "Waiting days" yes you were but we were at the time of your order coming in enjoying our Christmas Dinner with our family.
Just to recap
25th Dec 2023 3.36pm Order came in to us (Failed age verification)
27th Dec 2023 Email and message received 10.16am.
27th Dec 2023 Called you at 10.18am to explain your order would not be sent due to failing our age verification process (Required by UK law)
27th Dec 2023 Full refund processed at 10.21am.
Please remember that at no point during this interaction we were open for business.

Great products and very helpful staff
Prompt delivery although one of the products was past its ‘best before’ date. Contacted the company who were very helpful, apologetic and advised that this was an unusual occurrence and that they would look into it/immediately refunded me.
I would definitely recommend this company.

Horrible Taste and Smell
The delivery was fast however the exoctic biltong gift set smelled and tasted like rotton meat. I am highly disappointed because this was a gift for a very important person and everything was disgusting. I will definitely not be buying this again or recommending these products to anyone. Save your money people!

Fantastic Biltong.
Great products albeit very expensive. Only problem with Biltong? Very 'moorish'. I cannot stop eating it so I ration it now to 100 grams at a time. I have just received the 2.5kg pack which contains 10 x 250grams of different flavoured Biltong. All superb. I prefer the lean which does have some fat obviously and is moist. All in all a great evening treat with a glass of red wine!

Looking at your order it was -
Made on Saturday 30th September
Your Biltong was freshly cut and packed late on Monday 2nd October.
Dispatched on Tuesday 3rd October
And delivered on Friday 6th October.
We can only apologise on behalf of our couriers for the slight delay in getting your order to you. With 99% of our orders being delivered on time or normally sooner it sad to see this one has been sadly delayed. We are a family business and pride ourselves on not just what we do but how it's done, you can can rest assured we will be having stern words with our couriers re this delay.
