This was a fairly last minute booking on a river cruise, at a very good price. THG really does offer first class tours, first class service, seemingly able to negotiate very good rates.

In particular, I felt it was definitely a very personal service. The agent who booked our trip, Sam, truly was so helpful throughout the booking process, especially arranging our return flight to a local airport. The whole booking process was so very easy to do.

The main reason I am so happy with their service is because I felt I was treated as a valued person; not just another client ready to hand over their cash. I wasn’t rushed, uncertainties were given knowledgeable assurance and a query I had towards the end of our trip was speedily answered.

A lovely, professional company. I would definitely recommend and book with them again.

This was my first experience with THG Holidays. I booked a Svalbard Expedition Cruise on the
Swan Hellenic SH Diana. The journey included return flights from the UK to Copenhagen, overnight in a hotel in the city, then return charter flights to Longyearbyen, Svalabard.
The cruise on SH Diana around Svalbard to the ice edge was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the moment we stepped on board until we reluctantly disembarked, every aspect of the voyage exceeded our expectations.
The SH Diana is a beautiful ship, combining luxury and comfort with a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable, and included a flame effect fire. The public areas were elegant, with plenty of places to relax and take in the Arctic scenery.
The crew were outstanding. Everyone, from the hospitality staff to the expedition team, was friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their enthusiasm and genuine care made us feel valued throughout the voyage.
The wildlife encounters were simply unforgettable. Seeing three polar bears in their natural habitat was an incredible privilege and something we will never forget. We were also fortunate enough to see walrus hauled out on the shore, an Arctic fox, and a small pod of beautiful beluga whales. Cruising through the sea ice at the ice edge was an awe-inspiring experience.
The food and drink on board was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious meals and attentive service every day.

This expedition surpassed every expectation we had. It perfectly balanced adventure and luxury, creating memories that will stay with us forever. If you're considering an Arctic expedition, don't hesitate—it is an experience you'll treasure for the rest of your life. Book it through THG Holidays.

Our trip was booked with helpful suggestions and extras requested and accommodated by Ailsa. Due to problems in Middle East our flights were changed and actually turned out better. Our holiday was superb! This is our third trip with THG and each was has been excellent. They go the extra mile and add extra touches that make it that bit more special. Having a person to deal with goes a long way and yet they are always good value. Will 100% be booking with them again

We have booked several holidays with THG over the last 8 years and previously had no issues — however, until now, nothing had gone wrong. Unfortunately, when we genuinely needed support, the company’s response was extremely poor.

We arrived in Dubai from the Maldives the night before the conflict began and, instead of leaving after our planned 5-night stay, we were stranded there for an additional 6 nights.

To be fair, the individual staff member we dealt with tried to help, but THG as a company provided very poor communication and support throughout. From the beginning, we repeatedly asked what assistance we could expect from an ABTA travel agent, both financially and administratively, yet even now we have never received any written policy information explaining this.

In reality, while stranded in what had effectively become a war-zone situation, we had to organise everything ourselves — extra hotel nights, replacement flights and airport transfers.

THG’s lack of clear communication also caused confusion regarding accommodation support. We were verbally told we would receive £150 towards accommodation, which we reasonably understood to mean per night, only to later discover it was a single flat payment covering all 6 extra nights abroad. Had anything been confirmed in writing, this misunderstanding could easily have been avoided. Due to FCDO advice and ongoing missile alerts, we remained in the same hotel throughout.

What became most frustrating was the apparent lack of urgency or care from the wider company. We repeatedly had to chase for updates after returning home, and even a £16 airport transfer refund became an issue despite the circumstances we had endured — including travelling to the airport during a live missile alert because we were terrified of missing our flight.

After returning home, I discovered another Trustpilot review from a passenger stranded elsewhere during the same disruption. THG publicly stated that their “policy” was to cover the first night’s accommodation and incidentals, yet this was never communicated or applied to us.

More than three weeks ago, after discovering this, I submitted a formal complaint to THG. To date, I have not even received an acknowledgment, despite chasing again last week.

We are now more than £2,000 out of pocket and hoping to recover some of this through our travel insurers. However, the lack of written policy information from THG is also delaying this process, as insurers continue advising us to exhaust all avenues with the travel provider first — while THG simply ignores emails and formal complaints.

Overall, this experience has completely undermined our confidence in THG and left us seriously questioning the value of booking through an ABTA travel agent at all.

We completed a Bucket List Private Tour in Sri Lanka. THG were great in tailoring our holiday based upon one of the options on their website but made it bespoke for ourselves with a few changes to the Itinerary. The holiday itself was great and the tour itself was perfect visiting a number of attractions and hotels and ended in a beach resort which allowed some recovery time at the end with the right balance of sightseeing/travelling and relaxation. The guide we had was brilliant and was very knowledgeable about the Island and its history. His English was excellent and his driving exemplary.
The end of our holiday was unfortunately at the beginning of the current Middle East crisis which meant we had to wait just over another week to return home. THG were great in keeping us fully appraised of flight cancellations at this extremely difficult time and relocated us to an alternative Hotel in Columbo from the Beach Resort which was to a very high standard. We eventually flew home safely.
This is the fourth time we have used THG and would not hesitate in using them again.

I decided to book this Easter Danube cruise as a solo traveller. The lady who I spoke with was very informative, not pushy so I felt confident to go ahead. The documents all arrived on time,they were clear so now I am eagerly waiting for the cruise

We had a great holiday through these guys with great value for money. Everything went as planned.

Great holiday in Thailand, Thg holidays recommended resort and hotels both in Bangkok and Khao lak and they were excellent both for location and quality, and cant recommend them enough when Etihad cancelled return flight because of the war THG sorted extra night in hotel and rebooked us on next flight so we didnt have the stress and worry and could enjoy our holiday.

Wow! We have nothing but praise for THG Mandy for the great itinerary to Sri Lanka and the Maldives and Bev for our final leg.Given the problems in the Middle East Bev and the team have been amazing moving flights and sorting accommodation. We cannot recommend THG highly enough and we will be definitely be booking with them for our next adventure!
