From the outset, Daniel adopted a collaborative approach, not a hard-sell approach, advised and listened and delivered the system we had specified.

A large installation like ours (8 kWh PVs and 20 kWh batteries with three inverters and a Zappi EV charger) is a journey and a partnership, and it took patience from everyone to make it work fully and achieve the level of automation we wanted.

Daniel kept his team working at it until it was fully operational to our specification and this philosophy was also supported by Thrift Energy who only billed the final payment only when we were completely satisfied and the MCS and G99 certificates were issued.

No one could ask for more than this and is a great installation.

We are really pleased with the automation and performance and would thoroughly recommend Thrift Energy over the many firms we researched and consulted with before we made our selection.

Thrift Energy have just installed 10 solar panels and an inverter for me. They were well-planned, efficient and responsive and I appreciated their attention to detail. I'm so excited to have my new solar panel array. Thank you to Beth, Amir, Tamar, Morgan, Lily, Stephen, Thomas and Lewis.

Door to door salesman turned up, Ramsey. accessed us for government boiler and wall insulation. Grant was given. The work quaintly was horrible, 3 return visits and what a mess, the boiler rain pipe still leaks and their idea of a system flush is to remove the red and shake it outside.

Recently had solar panels installed in our property not many panels but from from start to finish they did a brilliant job, gordie Joe was fantastic installer.

We recently had solar installed by thrift. We had 3 quotes from other providers and although not the cheapest we opted for Thrift due to the great literature and communication from everyone we dealt with. Their lead times for install were by far the quickest from other providers. Highly recommended!

Having read the recent posts on Trustpilot has prompted me to add my thoughts on this Company. Those people who have had positive experiences are probably the lucky ones, bearing in mind that even a broken Micky Mouse watch gets the time right twice a day. For others, such as the recent contributors, you are definitely not alone. So as not to bother and bore readers with the sordid details I had recent dealings with Thrift Energy, in October this year they ended up in Court in front of a Judge. Three senior representatives turned up together with their expensive Barrister. Thrift Energy LOST and the Judge ordered them to pay substantial damages, not happy bunnies. For anyone else who is currently having any problems with this Company stick with it keep emailing and phoning better still pay them a visit although be advised their Operations Director will throw his rattle from the buggy if you turn up unannounced. Front line staff will do their very best to help, however, once it gets to senior Managers good luck. For those contemplating using this Company there are other providers out there, do your homework before committing and remember you have been warned.

Thrift Energy were tasked to insulate a room in roof in a property that I own. They failed to complete the insulation and left a two ceilings and an unheated wall without any insulation at all. I have been informed that at least three properties in the development at Bellingham Crt., Newcastle were left in a similar unfinished state. I have contacted Thrift Energy over a dozen times by emailing and calling up. They have been out to re-survey the property and they agree that the work needs to be done but still the property remains unfinished. I have written directly to directors and still received no reply re action that they state will take less than 2hrs.

Every single member of this team were amazing. The admin staff, surveyors, scaffolders, solar panel installers and electricians. Communication was excellent as was the quality of work. All tradesmen turned up on time and we’re extremely polite. Can’t rate them all high enough. Thank you.

Untrustworthy company, poor communication and couldnt care less attitude. I qualified for cavity wall and boiler installation under grant funded government scheme. Signed up had survey done on my property in feb this year all documentation was submitted straight away to the local council to get the go ahead. Only it took them over a month to send the declaration back to thrift, no doubt they werent informed to get the declaration back before the funding had finished at the end of march. Result being too late to have the install done. Then they said they would contact me when the funding was suppose to start again in May (never happened) i had to keeping phoning them! but kept getting fobbed of, then lo and behold delayed until September, and was informed that the survey i had done in feb may no longer be valid..My boiler is 19 years old, and could be unsafe but was told to get a gas safety professional ! Are they going to pay for it? hell no!!

I have recently had solar panels fitted to my property. The whole process from start to finish has been completed to an extremely high standard. The level of professionalism from those based at thrift right down to the workers fitting the solar has been second to none. I Would have no problems in recommending Thrift and utilising there other services should I require any other work. Well done Thrift superb work!!!!

Solar panels were surveyed and installed quickly. Installers left it all nice and tidy. All now working great!

My mum is in receipt of benefits and due to energy costs rising she was at risk of becoming fuel poor meaning that through her local council she was entitled to free solar panels. The guys were more than helpful and friendly and able to explain everything to us both in full and never made us feel silly for any questions that we asked. Their call centre were more than helpful when we spoke to them and were very respectful regarding our situation. Highly recommend thrift energy our panels have saved us lots of money in the last three months alone can’t wait to see what my mums savings are during the peak summertime! Lovely staff and a thorough and professional company!

Solar panels has been the best decision my husband and I have made!
We are very grateful our friend recommended them to us. From the very start of meeting the team the customer service was absolutely exceptional, with them all being very chatty and polite. They talked my husband and I through every stage thoroughly whilst also making us laugh until our stomachs hurt, but on a serious note did a great job. They always arrived on time and cleaned up everywhere leaving the house more spotless than when they arrived (I offered them a part time cleaning job as well lol)!
We can’t thank the team enough and after our experience we couldn’t not write a review. We will definitely be recommending Thrift Energy to friends and family.

Recently had a boiler fitted by thrift energy. Great communication from the office leading up to the install.

I recently had solar panels fitted, a great job made easy for me by the team, from initial survey through to completion I was informed and kept updated when each of the services would arrive, would recommend this company. Very satisfied

One of the worst experiences in my life! I was given a Green homes Grant for an external wall installation. Thrift energy told me it would be, if not a week a two week job - it took more than 4 months from start to finish. Thrift energy passed the work out to another company who they often used, they said. Three young men in their early 20’s carried out the work - I don’t think they had enough experience between them. I’m left with guttering that doesn’t catch the water to take it down the drain. So in some places the rain just comes down the roof straight on to the wall. My new soil pipe that they refitted, leaks as well as some of the new drain pipes. The windows weren’t covered when the work was carried out so there’s bits of black stuck to my new double glazed windows. The sealant around the windows were ‘dabbed’ on by hands which were dirty so the sealant looks dirty and looks unprofessionally undertaken - a mess! The insulation around the windows is uneven as well as some parts of the wall. The mess in my yard is still lying there even though it’s been cleared up twice before. The young boys just chucked their rubbish around the yard whilst undertaking the work so empty drink bottles, food cartons etc, were strewn around. I picked most of this up myself! The sides of the external windowsills they fitted fall off if you touch them. One of the windowsills isn’t even level! My T.V. wires were placed under the facia boards and now none of my TV’s have a signal. My satellite dish has sticky tape around it that was put on when the carried out the work but didn’t bother to take off once finished, the dish also has paint splattered on it - it looks a mess. The wire for the satellite dish was taken behind the fascia board then onto the satellite dish which pulls the gutter out which makes rainwater flow down the wall making a black mark down the wall. I was told my chimney would have to be blocked off because of the installation - it is still open? The grit and bits from the work they carried out has fallen down the gutter. I was told in February 2022 that they would return to clean the windows and tidy them up. They have yet to return!!! What a nightmare. DON’T USE THIS FIRM, THEY’RE SO UNPROFESSIONAL!

Thrift energy came out twice did two serves on my home but one was never was received by them the company knew we had a combi boiler it was put on the form at the beginning but today I received a phone call to say that they couldn't do it cos it was a combi boiler but we had been promised it would be rushed through.this company is usless dont use them !!!!!!!!!!!!

John and Alex arrived on time . Explained everything they were going to do and proceeded to do so. They were pleasant and efficient. Could not fault there work . Cleaned everywhere afterwards and would highly recommend
