Toilets For Hire / Toilets By Gaia — AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We booked toilets in February for our August wedding, based on their good reviews at the time.

Communication was shaky from the start, but we were repeatedly reassured everything was fine. Then, just one week before our wedding, AddToEvent informed us they were removing the company from their platform following multiple complaints about poor communication and undelivered services.

We contacted the company immediately and were told it was apparently just one unhappy customer and that our booking was fine.

It wasn't.

Our toilets were booked for delivery between 9–10am the day before our wedding. By 10am, nothing had arrived. We eventually contacted them and were told their driver had supposedly suffered a puncture and was waiting for roadside assistance.

As the hours passed with virtually no communication, this explanation became increasingly suspicious to us and honestly felt fabricated. By around 4pm, their phones were unresponsive and we were left scrambling to find another supplier with less than 24 hours until our wedding.

We cancelled the booking under their own terms due to non-delivery and requested a full refund.

They instead told us they would deliver by 9am on our wedding day — something we had never agreed to and, by that point, we simply couldn't trust them.

We had to pay another supplier at the last minute to save our wedding day.

They then refused to refund us. We had to involve our bank to recover the money, and were told the source account had insufficient funds, resulting in us losing a further £100 in fees.

Thankfully, we eventually recovered the booking money after reporting the company and transaction as fraudulent.

We have now reported this company as a fraudulent business and as a scam.

The entire experience was incredibly stressful, particularly in the days leading up to our wedding. What makes it worse is that we received no meaningful apology or accountability whatsoever.

Missed delivery.
Poor communication.
Suspicious excuses.
Unresponsive phones.
Refund refused.
Additional costs incurred.
No apology.

Our experience was appalling. We strongly recommend avoiding Toilets For Hire / Toilets By Gaia.

Scam company! Don’t not use. Never turned up and won’t refund our money

Booked my toilets for an event on Saturday 18th July.
Delivery was spot on the time quoted and removal early hours in the morning after my event.

The delivery driver was really helpful, polite and showed me how everything worked. The office staff were friendly and helpful.

Toilets were clean, well stocked and best of all once filled with water they didn't need a water connection, a waste conection or power. So a fully stand alone unit.
I had the luxury 2+1 unit and had around 110 people at my event and this was ample.

Value for money and delivered as promised. Paid in advance as per their T+Cs and had zero issues from start to finish.

Highly recomend and would definately use again.
