**An honest sharing about my online purchase experience with @Topologie 🧵**

I genuinely love Topologie as a brand — their products are practical, well-designed, and stylish. So when I made a purchase, I felt confident because their website clearly advertised a refund and exchange policy. That promise was part of why I went ahead without hesitation.

Unfortunately, when the item didn't meet my expectations and I reached out, I was told the item was a *promotional item* and therefore not eligible for exchange. The problem? This exclusion was buried several clicks deep — nowhere near the prominent refund/exchange promise visible at the point of purchase. I felt genuinely misled.

What's even more telling: **after I raised my complaint, the brand quietly updated their website** to make this limitation clearer. That says it all.

I then escalated to the **Consumer Council** to mediate. The brand didn't even bother to reply.

And throughout this whole process — the communication was dismissive and arrogant. Too proud to admit a mistake, too proud to engage with a consumer protection body, and frankly, too proud to treat a paying customer with basic respect. That kind of attitude is just as disappointing as the product issue itself.

Great design means nothing if the brand has zero humility and zero accountability. Customers deserve better. 🙏

Frais en plus à prévoir

Attention lors du paiement ! Il faut savoir que vous payez en euros mais qu’ils traitent le paiement sur une banque chinoise basée à Hong Kong donc j’ai payé des frais bancaires de conversion par ma banque alors que le paiement est effectué dans ma devise nationale ! Évidemment l’information n’est pas renseignée sur leur site lors de la commande et le paiement se faisant en euros sur un intégralement en français je ne me suis pas posé la question ! Quand je les contacte pour un remboursement de ces frais, ils me disent que c’est pas possible ! C’est vraiment scandaleux ce genre de pratique commerciale ! Je n’ai pas encore reçu mon produit mais quand je vois en plus les commentaires précédents qui soulignent le manque de qualité des produits ça me fait peur !

Ordered Items Always Out of Stock

I’ve had three separate orders within the last month get canceled because they are out of stock of items. So what they show for you to order and proceed to checkout will more than likely be out of stock by the time they go to ship your order. Not sure why their system allows this in the first place to frustrate customers?

Their customer service is very slow to respond back.

Fortunately, when I did ask for refunds I was able to get my money back.

However, I was just really disappointed by the shopping experience each time and won’t ever shop again because after the third time of getting an out of stock notice on my order, I give up on these expensive bags and overpriced handles that they make you pay SO MUCH extra for I would expect a much smoother shopping experience at least on one of my orders.

Great brand

Topologie is the sensation of the moment, and I love their bags. In a month, I bought three bags. Plus, the shops in London at Soho and Covent Garden are super! Lovely staff x

Owes refund but has gone MIA

Owes me $60 in refund but has gone completely MIA. Have been chasing for a month for my refund, since 23 Jan, but Topologie has gone completely silent for past two weeks. Would not recommend to buy from them, as although their products are good, their customer service is non-existent. Buy at your own risk, as if they owe you a refund, they will not honor.

Shipment missing. No reply from CS.

Ordered the Insulated Hoodie in Jan 2026, shipped on the 21 Jan. But till today, 18 Feb, it is still in transit. The Topologie website states it takes 5-10 days for delivery to the UK but now almost a month has passed. Sent 2 polite emails asking for updates but there was no reply at all.
Not sure what to do now.

A-1 Store, I ordered on January 27, 2026, and I received my order mid-day today, February 2, 2026. Four working days upon ordering! The materials are authentic, and the rope strap is made in Japan, while the bag is made in Vietnam. Will buy again from this store

I ordered the market bag

I ordered the market bag. Incredibly awkward to carry with any kind of strap. Painful to use as a computer bag, esp with the cord I also purchased from them. I tried to return it and explained my situation- I had used it once and they would not accept my return, not even for exchange. Don't buy from this company.

I have bought many topologie…

I have bought many topologie products—both online and in the NYC store—in the past two months, and I love all of them. I love what they are doing, and find (almost all) their products beautiful (but people's tastes vary, so that's not an issue). One of the things I ordered online apparently ran out just before I ordered it, so they had to replace it: I think they might do better if they slightly narrowed the number of products they offered so that they could more consistently offer what they show on their website. It's a little like a pop-up shop model. They informed me about the sold-out item immediately and were incredibly responsive about providing a replacement or refunding it. That said, there's so much to get excited about, and you might be able to find what you were looking for on ebay or Poshmark. Or they might replenish what they ran out of. Anyway, I highly recommend these products, and can't wait to mix and match bags and "wares" to my heart's content.

AVOID

Placed an order on 26 November for a puffer strap plus some add-ons for a Christmas present. Sent an enquiry on 9 December and got told the issue was some error with the tracking link. Sent another enquiry on 15 and then 16 December. Got told nothing was sent and puffer straps were out of stock and was asked to choose another strap instead. I'm cancelling the whole order and never ordering from them again. Badly run business, bordering on scam

Very bad quality

Received a silver topologie bag as a present. After a week of regular wear, the fabric is already very damaged and looks old and shabby.
Not at all worth the money.
Customer service is horrible. Don’t buy!

The bags are very poor quality

The bags are very poor quality. The color transfers easily and has ruined both a jacket and another bag that was stored next to it. After only two uses, the material already looks worn out and old. Definitely not worth the money.

2 deliveries received perfectly

An ad came up on the gram and I was like yep want it. Did my due diligence and googled the brand, arrived at Trustpilot and saw their low score with some reviews mentioning shipping/delivery issues and customer service issues. I wanted to place a pretty substantial order but was nervous with the reviews so I split my order in two. Both orders arrived to Australia via UPS, no issues at all, all items perfect, both deliveries landed within 10 days of placing order.

Beware

Beware! If you want to return anything they make it as hard as possible. I had to submit pictures, never received an answer - or my money. Now I am stuck with a poor quality bag and lots of straps I just wanted to try because on site you can never tell the real colour.

Irresponsible Trader!

If there is zero star, I won’t even give 1 star!

I made my first purchase of their crossbody bag (Bottle Sacoche) and a matching 0.8mm rope after seeing my travel buddy carried one but it has been a BAD EXPERIENCE!

They sent me an email CLAIMING that the parcel has been delivered on 14/05/2025 but in actual fact, I did not receive any. I immediately replied to the email informing that I did not receive any parcel on that day.

They replied to say that they will investigate with their delivery agent. Subsequent to that, every time I follow up, they will repeat the same story about parcel being delivered. Same thing happened when enquire with their delivery agent, UPS. Both claimed that parcel had been delivered but when asked to provide proof of delivery, none of them can provide any!

Until today I am still here, waiting for their mercy if either one of them will take up the responsibility and act accordingly.

USD111 down the drain! Don’t buy from them. Such an irresponsible trader!!!

Ni pro, ni sérieux.

Vous faites un achat sur le site (et pas en magasin. En magasin quand j'y suis passé, il n'y avait personne pour me conseiller et il manquait pas mal de produits, donc je n'ai rien acheté). Sur le site également il manquait beaucoup de produits. Vous recevez un mail d'enquête satisfaction, vous y répondez et recevez un coupon de 10 euros de réduc pour vous remerciez. Dans la journée et le demain, vous essayez d'utiliser ce coupon et comme décidément de code promo ne fonctionne pas, vous écrivez un mail le 13/04 demandant de l'aide.
Pas de réponse.
2ème mail le 17/04, pas de réponse non plus.
Quand on est pro et que l'on veut garder ses clients, on répond aux mails des clients et on regarde aussi, si des mails clients ne sont pas arrivés dans les indésirables.
En attendant, je passe mon chemin, il ne me verront plus vu qu'ils ne sont ni sérieux, ni pro.

I love the concept and their products

I’m surprised by the low score here. Maybe they got their act together since. Or maybe I’ve been very lucky.
Both my experiences ordering online and IRL (London) were pleasant and efficient.
Fast delivery, and very easy return - not necessarily fast, but easy and free, that’s appreciable.
I have the bottle bag in silver and the fabric, even if light, is resistant and the making of the bag is sturdy in every way (stitching, zipper, hardware). zippers are covered with waterproof gear - that may impact slightly the smooth opening and closing, but I very much appreciate that it keeps my phone from being soaked when it rains.
Also, I don’t receive marketing emails from them which I appreciate and makes me take a peek at their website more often than not.
