Booking by phone in advance worked very well because I was asked what time my ongoing transport was leaving, then recommended to have cab 10 mins earlier than planned due to anticipated rush hour delays. We found our journey did benefit from that axtra time. Thank you Tower Cabs. The booking confirmation and update on the cab en route to us helped our confidence that the service was coming, and comfortably punctual. Cost has been under-estimated by 25% on £10 quote though. Driver was very pleasant and professional. I have added Tower Cabs to my mobile Contacts list for future use.

I asked the receptionist to ask the driver to pick myself and my mum from outside the front of my flats as my mum uses a walker aid. The driver still went around the back of the flats where access is difficult for my mum. When asked, the driver said he wasn’t given the information.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this company. I booked a taxi at 00:20 and was assured by two agents that it would arrive within 5-10 minutes after calling in the massive delays. Over the next 55 minutes, I was left waiting in freezing conditions with no updates, despite multiple follow-up calls to their team. I had left my mates house that I couldnt return to because both the app and the agents told me it'd be 5-10minutes.

Their complaints process is completely broken, possibly by design, which is where I was sent to having asked for a refund. The email address listed doesn’t work, and their website's complaint system is non-functional (error report, as I assume its attached to the same dead email). This left me with no way to address my concerns directly. I tried their facebook messenger which was also ignored. Is this even legal? To have 0 accountability as a customer based business?

The general attitude of everyone I spoke to was really disappointing. No apology, no concern for my welfare and just no effort to make things right. I've worked in customer service, I get it, no one likes a Karen, but come on meet me halfway.

This lack of service and support is unacceptable. Companies need to provide services with reasonable care and skill (Consumer Rights Act 2015), but this experience fell far short of that standard. I’m now forced to raise my concerns elsewhere, as the company has failed to resolve this.

I wouldn’t recommend this service based on my experience. Reliable service and responsive support are the bare minimum, and unfortunately, they failed on both counts.

Useless ordered a taxi and was given excuses when 30 minutes on school run late
just a quick update these taxis were booked at 7am that morning-i eventually got a taxi 55 mins later for the driver to say its my fault i should have booked for earlier time-what a farce-so be warned its always the customers fault they are late

Generally bad- sadly one of few bad options for taxis in plymouth at the moment. Fail to arrive for bookings, claim taxi has been and gone (on multiple occasions) etc, you might get lucky, get a taxi and get there, but it's a real 50/50, unlike others I've never struggled to get through to a person, but in my experience, it doesn't mean much as they're unlikely to help. Getting a condescending tone down the phone about you not being there for your booking whilst standing outside your own house waiting (again, more than once, no phone calls no cars) can be pretty annoying. Also work in a venue in the area and have the same experience when trying to call for guests, I have been making sure to let other venues in the area know to avoid. Worst one, I ended up wasting my own time waiting outside for a taxi as it was a matter of safety for guest waiting for taxi, to the point where I approached and talked to every taxi driver that pulled up nearby, called 4 times- it'll be 10 minutes, it'll be 10 minutes, it'll be 5 minutes, and finally on the 4th, "the driver reached the venue and you weren't there so they left". Not sure about that one. Unless they were at the wrong place. When I questioned this to them they got defensive and told me they could not send taxis to my venue... right. If you have literally any other options, don't bother.

Absolutely atrocious. Let down by Tower on a regular basis, losing me work, and impossible to speak to a human. When you do, you're put through to an outsourced call centre and nobody cares. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Booked taxi at 10:30 to ensure availability for 18:20, unfortunately the system Tower Cabs use isn't efficient or reliable, and customer service is not personable, leaving us without an idea if we could make our booking. So if you are looking to make a hospital appointment or anything time sensitive, alternative arrangements would be advisable. If you do have issues with the Tower cabs or any other taxi company, Plymouth City Council has a taxi complaints(and compliments) service.

Not reliable at all. We booked a cab from William Yard to Home Park, phoned them at 2.10 said it would be 15 mins tops. We were waiting outside in horrendous weather for over 40 mins I chased it twice each time said the driver had to log off so had no drivers. We missed start of the game and was stressful. We’d booked a return for 5.45 leaving an hour for football traffic to clear. Turned up after 6 o’clock. Used football traffic as an excuse we missed our start of our meal in town. People book times for a reason. If you can’t honour times don’t take the booking. Simple. Never again.

We booked a return journey via their app for an event. Both drivers were on time, friendly and cheerful. Really great experience. The lady in the office we spoke to briefly (small issue with the app that was rectified) was also very friendly and efficient. Will definitely use their services when in plymouth again 🙂

This isn’t the first time we’ve been let down by Tower Cabs. If you have a booking system how can you not get a taxi to someone on time? I’m surprised you still have a business. It’s about time we had a decent cab company in Plymouth
Booked for 17.20, booked this morning so plenty of notice. Rang when not arrived to be told 10 mins. Received a text to say running late, after I had called with a tracker link which didn’t work. Gave up and cancelled.

This is the second time tried using this company, booked a taxi after 20 mins it still had not arrived. Called and asked for an eta as we had frozen shopping, to be told a taxi had not been dispatched and they could not give an eta but would prob be another 20 mins. We did not wait.
