I had quite a bad experience with hair loss and was in a very depressed state. My partner looked up reviews and found Aderans at Barton Under Needwood. He booked me an appointment for a consultation with the possible idea of getting a hair topper/ wig . I went to the appointment and was greeted very warmly and taken to a lovely room and had a chat with a stylist who then introduced me to Jools the trichologist. I was extremely nervous, but I was made to feel much more relaxed. I had a bad bout of pneumonia which left me hospitalised back in February, and it turns out that that was one of the main causes of my hair loss. We decided that a wig wouldn't be suitable for me, so I was advised about certain products etc that would be beneficial for me. I went for 2 more consultations with Julie and there had been a significant growth. If it hadn't been for the lovely staff, especially Julie the trichologist, I don't know what I'd have done. I'm carrying on using the products and will definitely pop in and see them again to show them my progress. Absolutely beautiful salon, with lovely people. Cannot recommend enough! Xxx

An amazing experience during a very difficult time. I had my hankie stuffed in my pocket as I was led to one of the beautifully styled and private salon rooms, ready to bare my balding head to a stranger and inevitably break down in tears. The reality was very different. Almost 90 minutes of laughter, seeing myself as a blonde - why do I have to have such thick, dark, giveaway eyebrows?! The stylist who worked with me talked about her own hair loss journey and understood how much I had lost where the focus elsewhere is always on what I still have left - only the back! I was taught how to do everything from pin and conceal my remaining hair, correctly place the wig (four fingers up from your eyebrows everyone!!!) and how to care for my new hair. The advice on styles, wig construction and human or synthetic hair was excellent. I left feeling confident in how to get back out into the world without having to wear a hat indoors or a six inch wide headband.
The only improvement point would be for very clear instructions for finding the salon when booking - it can be confusing to find when Google pins the salon on the street behind and there’s no obvious entrance on Streetview. Head to Lloyd Street, number 18. The door lock was held open so ignore the keypad/buzzer entry and just push the door. Either head up the stairs to the right to the third floor, or there’s a lift, then turn left and head down the corridor where a swing sign directs you to the salon door.

I recently visited Aderans based on a recommendation and my experience far exceeded expectations. Marie and Naomi are truly lovely people. They have excellent product knowledge, great interpersonal skills and focus on delighting their customers.

Aderans premises is equally impressive. It’s very modern, has great facilities, is immaculately clean and everything is well presented. It’s in a great location too, easily accessible, truly picturesque, has ample free car parking and there’s plenty of places at Barton Marina to enjoy a drink or lunch.

Providing a truly amazing range of wigs, whatever you’re looking for, I’m certain Aderans will be able to help.

My stylist Catherine is brilliant . She took great care to listen and solve the issues I was having with my wig toppers . She came up with the perfect solution of using tape instead of clips as the clips were aggravating my scalp .
She trimmed the length of my bio hair to match toppers and took one of my toppers and de frizzed it .
And also trimmed a new wig I’d got fitted last time as felt it was too long and wasn’t quite right for me
It’s so important to trust your stylist and feel confident when wearing wigs

It was a very big step for me to walk through the door, but I was made to feel very comfortable by all the staff but must say a special thank you to Jess, she was so kind and considerate and this carried on at each appointment, being very supportive. The Staff are always very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Things are turned around very quickly when buying from them. They do additional services for those with severe hair loss or need wig styling.

It was great to meet Katherine in Edinburgh. She was so nice and knowledgeable. She spent a lot of time during my first visit to go through different wigs and offer a huge variety of choices for me to try. During my second visit she was again so patient and kind. I would definitely recommend the place.

Magz in the Edinburgh branch is fantastic. Professional, friendly, kind, caring and she makes you feel totally relaxed as you know your in safe hands. Many years ago she changed my life as she was my first contact in the wig world. I was scared and had no confidence after losing most of my hair. She helped me select wigs which she customised to make me look more like the woman I used to be and from that day I have gone from strength to strength happy and confident. She recently coloured and customised human hair wigs for me and I couldn't be happier. Going to the salon is like visiting friends were you feel safe, pampered and always leave with a new hair do. I cannot recommend Magz highly enough and if you are looking for someone to help you on your wig journey she is simply the best. Xxx

Jess and Lorraine made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment I walked in. Jess explained about the different types of wigs and listened to what styles, colours I’d feel comfortable in. Lovely surroundings and very private. Can’t wait to go back and try more on!
