Absolutely fantastic hotel, food was superb, chef very visible and helpful
All staff friendly and helpful, spa was superb.

I booked the spa & massage two days before we went. We arrived we weren't given flip-flops, thought ok. Went through to the pool, which was nice, the hot tub was small, there was people in it all the time we stayed, so didn't get to try it. Looked around & started seeing things weren't very clean. Thought right let's go in the sauna & it was absolutely filthy, the door was covered in finger makes smudges & it smelt so bad, we didn't stay in it. I walked out bare foot & we weren't given the flip-flops & my feet was covered in hair. I said I just want to go home. My husband said shower them off & we will try the steam room. No we couldn't it was broken, we weren't told this when I booked & we paid £190.!!!!!! So we go for a shower & get ready for our massage, they asked us to wait in the room, it was like the chapel of rest. We had our massage & it was lovely the ladies doing it were very good I couldn't say anything negative about them. After that we showered again & I told my husband with the cleaning problems I don't want food & I just want to leave. When we got home I sent a message to the hotel & a manager replied, I told him they didn't inform me the stream room was broken & it was very expensive for a swim & massage, we couldn't use the sauna because it was filthy. He said he would sent me complimentary spa access, which my daughter said was an insult so she messaged & we've not heard back & didn't receive anything off the hotel. I truly think they are outdated & the price for a swim/massage is extortionate.

Went for afternoon tea, no choice of tea offered, sandwiches had been made earlier and were starting to curl up,the ham and cheese sandwich was cheap plastic ham and tasteless cheese slices. The clotted cream for the scones was sour showing a use by date 2 Days previous to our visit. No other savoury choices were given. The little selection of cakes was very mediocre, bara brith with hardly any mixed fruit in the recipe. All in all the worst afternoon tea we have ever had. Yes I did complain at reception.

Enjoyed our stay including spa treatments where Kelly was really lovely. The room was nice but areas on the way to the room, corridors etc are all very tired paintwork damaged and items stored in piles at top of stairs. Breakfast service was good and the food was great quality but very overcooked. Check out there were no staff around and a big queue at reception, when someone else inquired they said just leave the key.

It was my 63 rd birthday, I thought it would be lovely to have a high tea at Tre-Ysgawen Hall, In Anglesey.
I looked at the nice web site and the high tea looked lovely…. With white tablecloth and silver service and fresh flowers on the table, great I thought!
However when we arrived, there was no staff around and it felt empty.
We walked around and finally found a bar area where a group of very young staff congregated and we said we had booked high tea.
We were told to pick any table and sit there. All tables had no white tablecloth or even set ready for us.
There was a large tv playing a golf match loudly, hardly the setting we were lead to believe from there website!!!
When our food finally came…. There was a fairly large cobweb on the plate stand next to the food…. Yuck 🤮
We were told tea or coffee by staff, no selection of teas offered to us… etc (Earl Grey Tea) very basic sandwiches, no quiches or sausage rolls and too many cakes.
VERY DISSATISFIED with the whole experience, as this WAS a beautiful hotel a few years ago…. NOT NOW…… Avoid!!!
