Very happy with the results..
Had a stihl blower that needed fixing and a service. Took it to them and they said they could do it.
They phoned me up the next day with what needed done and how much and assured me that the £194 charge although expensive didn’t mean the machine was a write off as a new one would be around 500! Actually you can get a new one for just under 300.
I decided to go with it anyway and asked for the work to be done. After weeks of waiting I phoned up and it hadn’t been done but was miraculously booked in for the day I phoned, what are the chances. They did the work and then phoned me a couple of times saying it was ready to pick up and trying to take payment for it. I said I’d pay when I picked it up. Went to pick it up a couple of days later and it wasn’t ready, they hadn’t done the work - journey wasted.
They said they’d drop it off as they’d wasted my time which they did about 3 weeks later…minus the black nozzle! Started it and the pull chord doesn’t pull cleanly and it doesn’t appear to have been serviced particularly well. Still waiting to find out what happened to the nozzle.
I took my Stihl lawnmower to Turney for repair and service. They provided excellent service and outstanding work, were very helpful, and most importantly, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and customer service.
I urge you to visit Turneys at Weston on the Green if you have any queries regarding garden machinery.
In a time when everyone is rushed and service predominately impersonal, I was thrilled with the advice and service I received.
Paul Searle took the time to help me make decisions and was clearly not there for a quick sell.

I went to Turney's Garden Machinery premise at Weston on the Green to buy a lawn Scarifier. I was served by Nick Messenger who was extremely helpful and more importantly knew the the answers to all my questions about the product I was interested in. Nick very kindly took time to assemble the machine and explained the key points of operation and use.
Bought A stihl combit unit off this company around 2 months ago and was working fine until one morning it decided to not start. When I eventually started it the revs on tic over where raving to high. Took it to service and repairs thinking it was covered by the warranty but when I returned they told me that it wasn't and I was dealt a £150.00 charge which considering all they done was realigned the valves on the machine I thought it was extremely expensive. Very miserable women at reception. When I asked her what was covered by the warranty she did not know and clearly making things up as she went along!! Will definitely not be going back to them in the future! AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Bought a stihl KM 131 from Turneys and after 3 months of use it wouldn't start so I took it to there service & repair shop western on the green thinking it would be covered under warrenty, I was also met on collection with a rude lady behind the counter accusing me of tampering with the valves witch " I DID NOT" as I don't know how too. They then charged me £70 for this even tho we are covered under a 2 year warranty. Will never be taking anything to them in the future!!!!
Absolutely 5star’s for sales and customer service/ support, I brought a new ride on mower, it was delivered, and nick went through everything, but me being blonde, I did something wrong, nick and Paul came over this afternoon, not only did they cut my lawn for me, they adjusted my lawn mower more suitable for my garden conditions, I really can’t thank them both enough, they really did go above and beyond for me today, so happy I brought from turney group, from buying to after care, I definitely won’t be going anywhere else from now on, what a team, xxx
Lost faith & trust with Turney Group's Weston on the Green lawnmower services.
Last year's mower service took over a month with "various reasons" for delay from them but I decided to give them another chance and took my 4 year old annually serviced Mountfield to them for this year's winter service. Despite the machine (in my view to be running nicely) I was advised that the lawn mower had a "bent crankshaft" and "cracked blade" both requiring replacement along with a service at a total cost of £729.58!
I have now taken my machine to an alternative lawn mower servicing and repair centre where it has been serviced. They found that the blade was in excellent condition and merely needed sharpening and furthermore found no bend in the crankshaft!
I was further incensed when picking up my machine from Turneys to take it to the alternative garden machinery service company when they attempted to charge me £25 for their "work needed estimate"!
We have used Turney Ground-Care for Lawn mower services over many years with some success.
The location is near Western on the Green and its offices are an archaic, confusing labyrinth of different departments, who pass you onto the next a bit like Monty Python.
Service has been varied. Its hard work to speak to a technician here, as a customer I am often left with the feeling that I'm just another punter.
My most recent experience was with my old Toro. Turney's have had this machine before but this time it took almost three months and £495 to fix it - this was right in the middle of grass cutting season. I chased several times on the phone but only got excuses - It was fixed and returned - eventually - but I'm not too impressed this time.
