We had a Level 3 Building Survey conducted by Smart Home Surveys on a property in Barnet. Adam was extremely helpful in organising the survey and clearly explaining what would and would not be included. Their online tool made it easy to keep track of the booking status and any date changes along the way.

Ian, our surveyor, was exceptionally thorough. His detailed report, along with the helpful phone call discussion that was included as part of the service, saved us from making a huge mistake by uncovering significant structural issues with the property.

Avery detailed survey but an even better phone call after where she went into lots of detail (even recommended a reorganisation of a bedroom - well beyond the scope of a building survey). I rang five survey companies to get quotes and their timeline. Smart Home Surveys weren't the cheapest (or the most expensive), but they were able to send a surveyor within a week where the others only had availability between two and six weeks away. I was also reassured by their professional manner and rather uncluttered system. You have a conversation with them, they email you an invoice, you pay it, the survey is arranged, and then you get your report. I couldn't have asked for a more straightforward process.

We had a RICS level 2 survey because the house we're buying is in good condition. What we got back was more detailed than I expected and we were able to ask a few clarifying questions.
