I purchased a sling bag about two weeks before an upcoming trip. When it arrived, I immediately noticed a manufacturing defect in the main strap buckle. A piece of plastic had been molded into the buckle, making it difficult to clip together and causing it to feel like it might break when fastened.

I contacted customer service right away and, at their request, sent a video clearly showing the issue. Unfortunately, the support process was extremely slow, with roughly one response per day. After several days of back-and-forth, they finally told me—just four days before my trip—that my only option was to return the entire bag and wait for a replacement.

Since the problem was limited to the strap and buckle, I asked if they could simply send me the strap from the replacement bag instead. After that request, I received no further response.

For a sling bag costing roughly $130, I expected much better quality control and significantly better customer service. A simple defective strap should have been an easy issue to resolve, especially after I provided video evidence immediately.

Unprofessional and misleading: The company missed their shipping time after purchase. Finally, I emailed and they informed me that even though it wasn’t listed anywhere, the product was a preorder. Due to the unadvertised extended shipping, I purchased another bag and returned the Veria bag. They gave a timeframe for receipt confirmation and missed it. I emailed again and they replied that it had been received and gave me a timeframe for a refund. They missed it. I emailed asking about the refund and finally they refunded it, minus the shipping cost. To summarize, they mislead me about the shipping timeframe and would not provide a full refund when the return was due to Verna’s own misleading information. From their actions, it also seems like they would not have provided a refund altogether if not for constant & repeated communication on my part.

Great bag, BUT…… don’t do like I did. First, I didn’t read the reviews or check their return policy before purchasing. I received the bag and threw away the original tags. Turns out, when fully packed for a 4 day trip, the bag is too heavy for my back and shoulders. It’s too bulky when packed for me. Which is a major con in their reviews. I’m 5’7, 56 y/o, travel quite a bit, and very active. But due to me throwing away the tags I cannot return this $146 bag. Sadly. Keep your original tags and original boxes until you are absolutely sure. And even then, you only have 45 days after purchase. And the bag has to be/look brand new. I gave them a 3 star rating instead of two because they did get back to me by email in a reasonable time, they were professional, they offered 15% off my next purchase (which I declined, I’m so disappointed cuz I really like this bag but like my back and shoulders more. LOL!) The return policy is almost impossible to achieve cuz how do you know the bag is a good fit unless you get to know it? Test it out. But in my case, I threw out the tags and just like that I’m out of about $146. VeriaTravel, there has to be another way.

The customer service rep notified me that the bag i ordered would not arrive on time due to it being on back order and offered recommendations to a change in color that would meet my time requirements. Friendly courteous, and tracked the order from the change to shipment with a personal email that said the bags were on its way.awesome

I decided to return the backpack. It was too heavy to be comfortable and too expensive for what it was. I have had nothing but problems trying to get my money back. It has been almost a month since they confirmed that they received it and still no refund. Then when they told me it was on its way (still haven’t received it yet) they are keeping $20 because that’s their policy. I’m tired of being punished by them for returning. I bought it because of their return policy. If I had realized what the policy really entailed I never would’ve bought from them. Shady business

I read all the information and reviews of the Savvy Terrain Medium Backpack before I purchased it. I was very skeptical that it was as nice as everyone was saying. Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. I spent over an hour discovering everything that this backpack offered. Every time I undid a zipper I discovered something new. I sure wish I had this medium backpack as a daypack on my last trip to Switzerland earlier this year. I am so impressed by the quality.

I am 100% disabled, handicapped veteran who was gifted a bag from my parents for my birthday recently from this company. Sadly, I am not able to utilize it due to my back being messed up from my years in the military. I took the tags off since it would look awkward to have a bag withs tag on it at work. I went to try it out and wore it for less than an hour. My backpack flared up extremely badly. We reached out to the company, and the company is refusing to work with us regardless of the condition of the bag. There is a human aspect in this that the company could look past if they were willing to work with us, but they are standing on their corporate grounds of the tags being removed. This is extremely disheartening, and I would recommend you to look to a different bag company due to their customer service.

Customer service is exceptional and the travel backpack is incredibly engineered and exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a "everything thing that you would need on a 4-day trip" bag!!

I experienced a concern with my second backpack purchased, and Alex from the Veria Team went above and beyond with constant and effective communication to help me resolve the issue in time for an upcoming trip. Of course, having a great product is awesome but it’s extremely comforting and assuring when superior customer service is received! Well, bought the Savvy bag and love it. Took for 1 trip and the cover for the USB broke off. Customer Service took nearly two weeks to say this doesn't fall under their warranty and they have no covers. I never wanted a new bag but to not have a cover is inexcusable to me. Caution and make note before buying I dont particularly care as I find it a nice gimmick but impractical in international travel use personally.

Better business practice
Ordered a gift for my husband. Placed an order, they had a sale. Before receiving my item, I requested a refund for the sale price. They said No.

Love Veria Travel! Ordered the Islander Savvy for my trip to Europe and it fit everything. It was so easy to organize my items and take it as a carry on for the 5-day trip truly great quality material. I had a few questions with customer service and they were so helpful.

I ordered two different sizes of the backpack and they seemed like decent quality, but they both were bigger than what I needed. I contacted customer service to find out how to return the unused backpacks for a refund, and they sent me a complicated and unclear return process that seemed like they were making it as difficult as possible to return their products. They said that once they received the product, it would take 5-10 business days to receive a refunds. I didn’t hear anything from them or see a refund for three weeks, I reached out to then and they said in fact that they had received the backpacks and I should see a refund in 5-10 days, I would see the refund. Almost 6 weeks after sending the backpacks, still no refund. Beware, horrible customer service. I will stick with Amazon from here on. These folks dont want you to return their products.

I picked up the Islanders Savvy 35L for an eight-week trip to Europe. We are hitting nine countries and 21 cities. We travel light with a carry-on suitcase and a backpack for each person. My Veria bag replaced my old backpack I used for the past five years.

I love my old pack, it has a lot of space and features. What attracted me about the Islanders Savvy was the versatility of the space and how the bag was organized.

I am one week into the trip and it has already proved to be a good choice. When you're travelling, accessibility to your stuff is important.

The Islanders Savvy's three zip pockets on the front of the bag are perfect for headsets and cords, toothbrush and paste, body wipes and other toiletries you need when landing in new city. They side of pockets have mesh sleeves to keep things where they should and not spill out everytime you open one.

The side pouch for a water bottle is a major improvement over my old bag. I have a big bottle and the sleeve fits it perfectly. The other side offers another long zipper pocket with multiple places to store all the gadgets yoi will need from pens, to a corkscrews, laundry pens, etc.

The inside main pouch offers so much room even if you have a pair of shoes inserted from the bottom This was a big win for me because I was able to open up space in my carry-on suitcase for a few extra items. Also, I don't feel like I sacrificed space in the pack for the shoes. Other items fit neatly around them. Seriously, it's big space, but when you're carrying the bag it doesn't seem bulky. Note: The show slot is self-enclosed and keep dirt away from clothes and other items. No more disposable plastic bags to worry about. Overall, after everything was packed in it i was at just under 20 pounds (9.1kg)

Top notch customer service. I ordered a backpack and once I got it, I realized that it was a bit too big for my needs. I emailed customer service to inquire about exchanging it for a medium size of the same backpack. They promptly got back to me with detailed instructions on returning my original and explained how the process of getting my new one would go. I explained that I had an upcoming trip that I wanted the backpack for and they assured me that I’d have it in time. It arrived 3 days before my trip. They stayed in contact with me through the entire process. It’s rare to find this kind of customer service these days, so when I find it, I think I should take a few minutes and share my experience. Oh! The backpack. It’s pretty awesome as well. Love the size and the quality. Perfect for a personal item on flights.

Just got back from a 5-day ski trip and it was such a great travel bag. The durability is really impressive, especially the structure on top, and the exterior pockets are massive which made it super easy to access accessories and travel items on the go. The side clips to condense the bag are a really smart upgrade from the Islander.

Overall it's a fantastic travel bag. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a durable, well-designed backpack.

I travel almost every week and have used multiple luggage pieces from different companies. I purchase my first Veria backpack on 2025 and as today I have bought 2 more and the quality of the product is outstanding. Their Costumer Service is the best one that I have been in contact with, they answered in less than 24 hours and is a real person. Im not receiving any payment or gift for this review. This Company and their product is really good
