I purchased two pairs of shoes in June 2025 but neither pair made it to me (USA). The first pair was shipped from Vancouver and cleared customs in LA, but was then sent to Zurich, then Stockholm, then returned to Vessi in Vancouver. The second pair was sent from Toronto and entered the USA in Chicago, where the package sat for two weeks before being returned to Toronto, per the USPS: “…because it could not be delivered as addressed.”

Vessi’s customer service (phone and chatbot) is all AI based and is frequently unavailable and/or unhelpful. They eventually refunded the first pair of shoes but I had to file a complaint with the BBB and chargeback the second pair. Vessi admitted they’re having shipping delays and other shipping issues AFTER I filed the complaint but their website still states 7-12 day shipping times and information about possible customs delays or other shipping problems is buried in the ‘Tariffs and Customs’ section in their FAQs. I find this pretty troubling because it looks like Vessi’s still accepting orders without anything other than a shaky prospect of fulfillment; that’s important information that should be clearly stated and highly visible.

I’ve purchased several pair of Vessis in the last 18 months, but I’m done with them.

Only one star because I can’t give them zero! Ordered almost a month ago and still no product. First time it was returned to sender before getting in the US and second time it has been sitting in the same spot in Canada for over 2 weeks. Not worth the hassle for the price!

While the Vessi shoes I purchased stand up to their waterproof hype, I can't say they are my go-to shoes. I purchased the courtside sneakers and I find them to be tight across the top and by the end of the day, a bit uncomfortable. I've worn them enough that they should have "molded to my feet like comfortable socks" by now. Further, I find the customer service a bit lacking. I accidentally ordered under the incorrect email address. The authentication systems Vessi has set up make it impossible for me to correct this. Even though I reached out to customer service for help on this matter, no one has offered any help or support to help me fix this. In short, I won't be placing a 2nd Vessi order.

Terrible first experience with Vessi. The white shoes that I bought were half pink. These shoes do not look new and they sent me a damaged pair.

Vessi shoes looked like the answer to my footwear dilemma. But it was a total bust. First off they are pricey, secondly they use “shop” for shipping and returns…which in theory is great, but I find “shop” leaves a lot of questions and information out. In general “shop” makes me feel like the product will just be some hoax or not high quality, but one doesn’t have a choice in these matters! I chose a style that was in stock to ensure that I’d get them on time and I followed their recommendation of going up a half size especially since I know that my orthotic insert can make shoes fit tighter. I got notification that the shoes wouldn’t arrive until days after my trip. Very annoying since they said they’d come in 5-7 business days and they notified me about 12 days after I placed my order. By some miracle they arrived the day before I was leaving and they were a terrible fit. They were humongous. They are extremely wide, plus the length was too long…and that was with my orthotics and fat socks. Plus I expected them to look really nice for $119…and frankly they looked cheap. Forget the instagram hype & ads…just go to a store where can see & try what you’re getting. These are just not woth the hassle.

Day 1: shoes chaffed heels so badly they could only be worn for an hour or so.
Day 2: I wore higher socks in hopes that they would not chafe my heels but this helped only slightly.
Day 3: chafing stopped if I wore a higher socks in rise sock with them. If you wear low rise, the rubber/ leather material on the heel hauls your sock down causing it to chafe. I am experiencing numbness in my toes while wearing these shoes. They are the narrow style but do not feel too tight on my feet.
Day 4: after 4 hours of wear my feet were sweating so badly I had to change my socks (I assume this is because of the waterproof material, they are not breathable.

Because they were on sale ($96), they are only available for exchange. However, I don’t feel like a different size will change my experience with this shoe. It’s not for me.

They are good, but only if you need them for a short duration! I have walked in mine for maybe 2 dozen times in less than a year that I have owned them..about 30km's..and they are no longer waterproof at all..might as well wear regular shoes. Perfectly intact, nothing broken or cracked, but whatever makes them waterproof, wears out in this time frame. Will not buy again for 160cad! Worth 60-80 cad$ at the most!

I am so impressed with Vessi - the shoes are super comfortable and truly waterproof AND their customer service is second to none. I have just ordered my third and fourth pairs after wearing them for 10 days of power walking in Scotland. My family travelling companions also wore Vessis and were just as thrilled with their purchases. I must say that these are the first shoes that were comfortable from day one. Great Canadian product.

I had ordered a pair of shoes that were apparently out of stock but the website didn't say that they were. Customer service helped take care of it and didn't have an upcharge for me ending up getting a more expensive pair instead.

Been wearing mine for about a year, and they are still such a comfortable every day shoe.

Great comfy WATERPROOF sneaker. I bought the weekender sneaker a month ago. Now that I have worn the shoes a few times and broken them in they are so comfy.
I am usually a size 9! The website said the shoe fit large, so i measured my foot and it said i was a size 7 (based on the size chart) so that's what I ordered. they fit well but I don't wear them with socks. If you plan on wearing them with socks factor that in when choosing a size. If i was going to wear them with socks I'd have ordered a size 8.
Other than that they are great sneakers. The fabric is a tad hard to clean but they are waterproof so they technically should be hard to clean.

I will be ordering another sneaker soon but a size 8 to factor in being able to wear socks.

The sneakers also arrived within a day!

The sizing guide is terrible. They suggested going up a size if your a half size. I did that. Now my heels lift in my $175 shoes. Yet I can't bring them back since they've been on my feet.. what a waste.

I bought a pair of Bessie shoes less than a month ago. I’ve worn them several times and they got dirty. I followed the instructions on the website re cleaning. They are still filthy! Expensive for what I got. A real disappointment made worse when I discovered that they are not manufactured in Canada.

I purchased an e-gift card from the Vessi web site on April 30th and it was never delivered to me. I tried to contact them through the support contact on their web site but it was really just an AI Agent. It told me that my inquiry would be referred to a "human" but no one has bothered to respond to me at all. Vessi has a phone number but it is also 100% non-human - just a few options to listen to various recordings. I lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau where I also found that Vessi has a rating of "D" (as in a very close to failing grade). I have also begun a process with my bank to have the transaction declared fraudulent to get my money back. Zero response from Vessi which makes me think they might be one of those fly by night shady companies. I would not trust them.

They make good waterproof shoes for damp cities. A friend from Vancouver recommended these shoes to me and I love them, they slip on easily and I don't need to worry about what to wear in the spring/fall weather where the forecast is unpredictable. Gotta admit though, searching their name flags you for infinite ads. That gets annoying.

Everywhere I look has is flooded by ads for these. The only waterproof shoes in would want are rain boots. If shoes are water proof that means they aren't breathable, which means I'm going to be standing in pools of sweat, shoes NEED to be breathable, I'm not standing in a river all day of I was I would wear boots that cover higher than my ankles. I will NEVER buy from this company. I block one whoever is posting the ad for this company school on with my day and next thing I know there is ANOTHER AD FOR THEM. I've blocked at least 10 different accounts TODAY for them because of this constant bombardment.

These are waterproof until they're not. My feet didn't get totally soaked in a recent rainstorm, but that's only because I pulled my toe out in time.

They're great shoes until that happens. The big problem for me was that there was no sign of visible damage, so it's impossible to predict when it will happen.

I understand I wore them a lot, and wear and tear will take place, but not being able to see it is annoying.

Definitely not waterproof. Me and my partner have both bought two pairs, and all 4 pairs had to be refunded as our feet got soaked in puddles. An overpriced product for the quality. Comfortable but not waterproof.

they are really uncomfortable.I have got blisters near my achilles tendon area and i wont recommend them to anyone

I absolutely hate these shoes. They do not fit properly. Return process is awful. Such a hassle and customer service is not great. Both my husband and I bought shoes to travel and mine felt like they fit at first but by the end of our trip my heel was coming out of the shoe. My husbands shoes leaked and his front toe was soaking wet. After many emails trying to resolve both issues they offered an exchange for my husbands shoes. We donated both pairs to value village. Beware buying. Especially online.
