I recently purchased the VILNO chair, and while it took a bit longer than expected to arrive, it was worth the wait. Once I started using the chair, I completely fell in love with its design. It's not like the options you find on Amazon that may be cheaper, but the quality and attention to detail in the VILNO chair are outstanding.
The cushion is perfect, and the overall design, including the delicate wood parts, is truly impressive. Before buying, there are two important factors to consider: the purpose you have in mind for the chair and the height of your desk. I personally use it for design and drawing, and I must say I absolutely love it. Additionally, my husband occasionally uses it for online meetings, and it has provided a marvelous experience for him as well.
I would also like to commend the customer support of VILNO, as they deserve a 5-star rating. They have been helpful and responsive throughout my interaction with them.
If you're looking for a chair that combines beautiful design, comfort, and versatility, I highly recommend the VILNO chair.

Don't BUY!!! This chair is not suitable for male. Balls will get hurt from this chair.

This chair was extremly useful during long periods and late night study sessions. With a normal chair my back usually used to hurt after about 30 minutes, but with this chair I was able to work as long as i wanted to without getting any back pain and improving my posture. Its even comfortable.

Where do I even begin? The Vilno kneeling chair has been a game-changer for me. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the design provides the comfort of active sitting. I really wanted to like this chair, but my experience is similar to the other lower rated ones here.

The first chair arrived on time, but the measurements were off and could not be assembled. When I queried this, the customer adviser ignored my concern (photos were included) and directed me to the instructions on the website, as if that wasn't the first thing I did.

When I followed it up, I was sent another chair, which to their credit was promptly sent. However, they completely ignored my request for the first chair to be returned (what am I supposed to do with a faulty chair?), and did not let me know when the new one arrived, so I couldn't have swapped it with the courier, even if that were allowed. I will say the customer service felt very poor, given they're supposed to pride themselves on this.

In the end, I only could put together the second chair, mixing and matching the different parts of both chairs. There doesn't appear to be any uniformity, some holes seem misshapen which really added more time assembling it and the paper instructions, vs the ones online all seem slightly different, like they've not updated instructions with perhaps older versions of the chair - definitely not worth the £400 (though I got this on sale) it's supposed to be worth. Much of this felt low quality.

As for usability, it says it's OK for people over 6' but that honestly feels like false advertising. I'm just under 6' and can only just about use it. It's very uncomfortable and doesn't feel steady enough. I'd like to return both chairs - the faulty one and the second, but the way the customer service has been, I'm not sure if that will even happen. I definitely think it's immoral to charge a shipping fee for returns, which is what their website says. A very disappointing experience, that hasn't been worth the time/money

I asked my company to buy the chair following issues with my back. Since using the chair, my back issues have improved. I would recommend this to anyone who spends long periods sitting at their desks. If I now need to sit in a normal office chair, I find it uncomfortable and my back does begin to ache again.

Prompt delivery, easy to assemble, attractive design.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of this chair. My concerns where raised as soon as I saw the packaging, which did not feature the ‘Vilno’ company branding and didn’t match the pictures I’d seen on the company website reviews. My concerns were then realised once I started to assemble the chair:
1) The main seat cushion screw holes didn’t line up with the frame so couldn’t be attached. It seems like one side of the frame is warped.
2) The cushion and knee pads are very low quality and not as described or illustrated on the website.
3) The chair itself is a different design than what appears on the website. The top cross member at the rear beneath the cushion is missing along with the company branding.
4) Then cushion and knee pad are also a different shape vs what was described on the website.
I’ve attempted to arrange a refund as the chair is faulty, of poor quality and not as described on the website. They’re trying to make me cover the return costs, which I’m almost certain is against the UK consumer rights act so will be seeking further advice as appropriate.
Edit: I’ve now received a full refund and rightly not liable for courier costs. Whilst my review of the product stands, I will give credit for the prompt customer service and recognition from the company where they’ve done wrong.

I used this type of chair long ago in my old job to reduce the back pain. Then I changed job and I could not afford the high cost. So when it was advertised at 50% discount (still £200 = $247 = €228 from £400) I decided to buy it.
The product I received is very flimsy and low quality for the price. The seat and knee pads are badly finished and not comfortable as others egide me have noted. The wooden structure is not really solid. When I rock the knee pad tremble, not a good sign. I see that returning it is very expensive so I’ll keep it. However I wonder if the discount is fake just to induce you to buy it (in 2018 the cost of another brand was around £300. Maybe the other is a better value got money)

After reply: I appreciate the offer and I might take it as I do not feel the seat or knee pads will last long on everyday use. This does not change my judgement of a very expensive chair for the quality of the manufacturing.

After Reply II: despite the offer of sending new knee pads nothing has been sent. The knee pads are now wobbly. The chair will not last. Definitely a rip off.

I brought a kneeling chair ‘on-sale’ for £184, which I think is reasonable value. I wouldn’t have purchased at the ‘non-sale’ cost of over £400. The chair is good quality, comfortable and easily put together.

The first chair was delivered with a wrong part. I was expecting a long and tedious process to sort it out, but I received a personal email within 15 minutes of me reporting the problem and a replacement chair delivered within 2 days. Exceptional customer service (thank you Lisa Baker) and I have just ordered another chair, which says it all really.

I have suffered from really bad back cramps as a result of sitting on a normal chair all day in my office. I bought a kneeling chair and what a difference it has made! Cramps have gone, my core is improving (important for me as I am a distance unicyclist) and general comfort has improved dramatically. It is very easy and comfortable to sit on for my work day and even take it into the house now for evening times. Delivery was great too. I live in Scottish Highlands and another company I had contacted 'refused' to deliver North of Edinburgh!!!! Delivery was great, product was great, easy to assemble and it has really helped my back issue. Highly recommend product and company - thank you

The padding is not as advertised. Very uncomfortable chair

The pads on the chair were too thin for my comfort. After about 20-30 minutes of using the chair, my shins started to hurt. I can see how the sitting position and rocking would be beneficial in the long term, but the chair needs at least 2-3 times more cushioning to use comfortably. After several emails with support, I was able to get a refund for the chair. Unfortunately, due to warehousing related issues, they weren’t able to accept a return of the item. Hopefully it works out better for others than it did for me.

Really quick delivery, easy to assemble. I had a screw piece missing but a replacement was sent out no problems in the post and arrived promptly. Lovely responsive customer service- I would definitely buy again!
