Don’t Sign on the Spot — Read Every Word, Including the Small Print or expect a shock down the line!
I noticed that many of the positive reviews appear to have been written very early in the process, around the point of signing. I would strongly recommend reading reviews from longer-standing customers too, including those for Direct Digital, the name previously associated with the business, as they give a very different picture. It is also worth looking at the Facebook groups “Direct Digital Scam Victims” and “Vistavue / Direct Digital Victims Action Group”, where other small businesses discuss their experiences.
My own experience was extremely disappointing. I was told very specific things by the sales representative about exclusivity, where the screen would be positioned, how often my advert would appear and when payments would begin. I later discovered that the written contract contained wording that was different from, and in some areas directly contradicted, what I had been told.
I was not shown the full terms and conditions before signing, yet the company later relied heavily on them. One clause they relied upon effectively says that representations made by the sales representative should not be relied upon, despite those representations being a major reason I agreed to sign.
There were also important terms in the small print which I had not understood to be part of what I was agreeing to, including written notice being required months before the end of the agreement to prevent renewal, provisions allowing the advertising location to be changed without my consent, and wording giving the company significant discretion over where the advert could be positioned, regardless of visibility.
The advertising did not produce a single customer for me and so I decided to start a civil claim and the dispute ultimately ended up in court, where judgment was made in my favour.
My strongest advice is: do not feel pressured into signing there and then. Insist that the full contract and every page of the terms and conditions are sent to you first. Read them carefully in your own time, compare them with everything you have been told, and only sign IF you are completely satisfied that the written agreement matches what you think you are buying. I would also recommend signing it yourself rather than on a representative’s iPad.

They do not deliver what they promise
They do not deliver what they promise. Do not sign a contract as they lie about it. I was promised exclusivity and they lied. I was promised I would not be charged until my advert went live. They lied. They have aggressive sales tactics and they deceive you. I was told there is no way at all to end your contract once you have signed, despite being reassured when sold the contract that I could cancel within the first 6 months. That was a lie. When appealing to them you will be told there is nothing you can do & threatened with legal action. Do not sign a contract with these people. I have not received a single client from them. Not one. I was promised so much and it was all lies. They lie about positioning of the monitor too - it will not be front and centre, it's all lies.
