I am a domestic user. I bought a Wahl hairdryer thinking it would be good quality and last longer than one bought elsewhere. The dryer itself was very heavy to use and noisy. It lasted a few days over 12 months before it stopped working with a puff of black smoke coming out the back of it. I've had cheaper hairdryers last much longer. Would not purchase this brand again

I have bought two whal products KM Cordless and a Bravmini they are both broken after warranty. I have tried to buy replacement parts from them and thy want sale to you. They want repair them for a lot of money with chip Chinese parts for more profits after you have already spent hundreds pounds to buy them in first place. Very unreliable products and poor costumer service . Don't buy them, they chiply made in China for less than 50 pounds and sale to you for 5 times more.

I have a set of Wahl pet clippers. They weren't cheap but I bought them because I was under the impression Wahl is a reputable company selling quality products. The clippers are still in warranty until June this year. I am a home user, not a business user, and the clippers are still in excellent condition, having only had light use.
Recently the charger for my clippers began to overheat and smell of burning. The clippers are fine. I contacted Wahl to request a new charger, (ticket reference 20712053797). Faulty chargers have been known to catch fire or explode. This is clearly a significant safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately.
Wahl responded to say in order to deal with this I must return the entire set, including blades, grade combs, scissors and other non-mechanical parts, for "inspection". They offered to pay for return shipping but not for packaging or my time and the effort required to pack and return the entire set, over putting a charger in a jiffybag.
The set is in a flimsy plastic case, (already not great for an expensive set of clippers), and will require significant packaging material, and for me to purchase a box, in order to return the entire set without damage. There is also the risk it will be damaged during return to me.
The nature of the fault is clearly evident. The charger is overheating and smelling of burning. It has a sealed transformer, which cannot be repaired, and requires replacement.
Demanding I return the set is a calculated move to make me buy a replacement rather than go through the hassle they are demanding I go through to claim on the warranty.
How is it possible the scissors and grade combs could contribute, at all, to this issue? Why do they need to be "inspected"? Are Wahl looking for excuses to deny the claim completely? Perhaps I haven't cared for the scissors adequately and they are causing the charger to overheat?
The demand also doesn't make business sense. A new charger is £19.99 retail, so will cost Wahl a few pounds at most. The shipping, both ways, will cost more than a replacement charger.
I made this case to customer services but received the same response, repeated practically word for word. I must return the entire set, including all non-mechanical and plastic parts, for "inspection".
At that point I asked for my case to be escalated as a formal complaint. Customer services confirmed, in writing, they had escalated my complaint a week ago. Since then I have received no further contact.
I still buy Wahl products for my pets, and family and friends use Wahl products. This will no longer be the case and I assure Wahl it will cost them far more than a replacement charger would have cost. I will never spend another penny on Wahl products.
I will also be contacting Trading Standards to complain about this serious safety issue not being addressed, or taken remotely seriously.
I am DISGUSTED. This is not the behaviour of a reputable company. This is downright dishonest.
Update: It's now a week since my review was published, and two weeks since I asked Wahl to escalate my complaint. I have had no response here and no further contact from Wahl. Meanwhile, my expensive pet clippers are useless without a useable charger, (which does not have a standard connector so cannot be replaced elsewhere). Disgraceful!
Further update (15/03/2025): This morning a new set of clippers arrived in the post. I've still had no further contact from Wahl so I have no idea what's going on. I only needed a new charger! I've upgraded my rating to 3 stars, from 1, to reflect this update but I still feel this was entirely unnecessary, unneeded stress.
Excellent customer service. Item broke after 13 months but after an email to customer services the item was replaced. Really impressed

A shaver that does not shave properly! Incredible. I bought a Wahl Vanish shaver about a month ago. It shaves me and produces lots of dust, but afterwards I find that it has missed lots of hairs. I try to go over them a second time, but it will not touch them. So, I end up using a wet razor to finish the job. I cannot recommend this shaver.
Ordered a new trimmer, arrived today in a damaged box.
Trimmer has clearly been used before covered in marks and scratches looks worn. Requested a refund - thought this was a reputable company - apparently not. Avoid.
Returns process looks like a joke; had to email someone - no label included. No telling when they will come back to me but not a happy customer.
I have written to them with my need.

Superb customer service deserves six stars, Will always use this company in future. So rare to get great service these days like this.
I recently purchased a WAHL trimmer directly from their website, but unfortunately, it arrived showing clear signs of prior use and did not function, even after following the recommended initial charging process. The screws and blade appeared worn, and one side of the trimmer was slightly open.
While the customer service team responded promptly, they informed me that it could take up to 30 days to inspect the product and either repair or replace it. For a new item arriving in such a condition, I believe a quicker replacement or refund process would be more appropriate.
Now, I need to send the trimmer back for inspection and wait for the repair or replacement. I sincerely hope they send me a new unit this time. If not, I will have no choice but to request a refund and consider purchasing from a different brand, which would be disappointing.

Before writing this review, I waited a long time to ensure what I intend to say is the truth.
The marketing team at Wahl is not only illiterate in their tactics, but they also underestimate their customers. Last year on Black Friday and Boxing Day, the prices were clearly displayed on your website. I have photos and evidence showing that this year's prices are exactly £10 higher than last year's, despite your claims of discounts.
While other companies offer more than 30% off, Wahl has not only failed to give a discount but has also increased the prices compared to last year. Do you really think customers are not aware of these tactics?
Customers do monitor your website and are aware of these discrepancies. If I were the manager of this department, I would reconsider the entire marketing team. This kind of deceit not only prevents me from buying but also compels me to share this experience with others. Word-of-mouth marketing will cause you to lose thousands of customers.
Please understand that these tactics do not build trust. Instead, focus on gaining people's trust rather than trying to deceive them. I hope someone knowledgeable in marketing joins your team soon, so you realize the importance of customer trust.

I have used Wahl a few times, and I have always found their help invaluable, and their service first class. Their items can be pricey, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

I had bought a Wahl nose and ear hair trimmer. Because of the ridiculous amount of plastic it was packed in, it took ages to free the trimmer. I complained to Wahl and received an acknowledgement but no answer. They then had the nerve to send me a survey asking me to rate their company service. They should not be using this amount of plastic in this day and age.

My clippers failed due to an electrical/battery fault after 2 years, I was very disappointed as these were the best cordless clippers I have ever had.
Their customer care team have been genuinely helpful and straightforward, new replacement clippers are on the way to me, and I couldn't be happier.

A Wahl product I purchased a few months ago had a mechanism issue. I sent an email to the company explaining the issue with my product. I received a quick reply to my email and subsequent following emails. All my questions were answered and I received a new, free of charge and well packaged replacement item.

On 07/22/2024, I received a package with the barbering tools from CoolBlades. The contents were in the box. There was also a paper from Wahl Global Academy there that suggested using a 30% discount on additional courses at Wahl Academy. You can see the paper on my profile picture. I put is there by purpose so you can see that paper I am taking about. Recently, I booked an additional course for December 2nd to upgrade my qualification and I used the code Academy30 from the paper I received in the box with the tools. After all, when I booked the course, I inserted the code from the paper to get a discount, but the discount did not work. I paid the full 120£ without any discount. Then I contacted Saffrone (a sales person) for help. She said that I used the code incorrectly and that nothing was shown in the system. So what should I do now? Does this mean that the paper I was sent from Wahl Global Academy is a scam?
