My issue is this. I recently had a repossession and called to get more information regarding it. I was told the amount I needed to produce to return my car. I paid that amount on 9.09.2023. I had to drive to SC to get the car. The next day I called Westlake to see what was next and if I needed to do anything else. I was told that I needed to contact West Direct since I was almost done paying for the car. My car was repossessed for a month. So, I called west direct and spoke with a respectful gentleman that explained that I had 5 more payments left and by the 5th payment to call in and they will put me a on plan to purchase the car. I only had the car two weeks and last Tuesday and I go outside, and my car was gone. I called Westlake and a rep told me they took the car because they didnt receive a “letter stating the finance balance wasn’t sent over and once that’s sent over, I can go pick up the car. I called west direct for 3 days straight and got transferred over 8 times. The person who accepted my phone call said that I needed that letter first. So, I call Westlake back explaining that. I’m on hold for a long time. The guy comes back to the phone this morning and tells me that his supervisor is sending the letter over to the repo place for me to get the car. I called the repo place, and they havent received anything. Nobody from Westlake or West Direct or my contract says that I need a lump sum of money to get my car back. I was told I had to make my 5 payments and then they would put me on a plan to begin purchasing the car. I have spoken with so many people that have given me incorrect information or finding out stuff nobody ever told me. I am devastated that no one wants to fix the problem. I never knew anything about them taking the car after the maturity date. I found that out the other day as well. I don’t know what to do. All I have done was follow either what was emailed to me or what was told to me by representatives. I now don’t have transportation and I’m trying to get this handled. I just called back today, and the lady rep tells me I need to pay 2500 to get the car back or pay 450 for repo fees and I can get the car back, but it can still be repossessed. Ive never heard of anything like this in my life. Everyone I speak wants to transfer me or hang up the call. I’m finding out so much information that I can’t seem to find in my contract. Ever since the bankrupt all of this has been horrible. All Im needed is a financial balance lease to keep the car. I feel nobody wants to help. They want to keep the car after receiving thousands of dollars from me and left with misinformation and no car. This is ridiculous and has my blood pressure through the roof. I would not recommend going through them for a car. It has been hell.

I was approved for a car loan with Westlake Finanical through Mega Auto Outlet in Stafford VA. I purchased the car on 8/25/23 and not even an hour off the lot the check engine came on!!! Once I got the car home oil drained all over my garage. I called Westlake to inform them the next day 8/26/23 and 8/28 of the problem and to exercise my right to cancel the contract and they threatned that if I cancelled they would put it on my credit. If i can find a better bank and dealer I have the right to cancel within 3 days and according to my contract with them I have 30 days to cancel. I want out of this nightmare. I wish somone at Westlake would do the right thing and release me from this contract and get my refund back of $2500.00

Jaime was very helpful with paying off my loan and obtaining the correct information to send back to me. I also needed a letter stating there is zero balance owing which he was more that helpful.

This morning I called 3 times and asked to speak with a supervisor because I was very unsatisfied with the customer service skills of the 3 men I spoke with. Each were rude, not willing to take my payment and did not put forth any effort to resolve the issue. Customers who are trying to make payments should not be treated so poorly, everyone falls on hard times and should be shown Grace. However, when I called back the 4th time, I got Carmen Dennis. She was so kind, honest and willing to help resolve the issue. She was able to tell me the amount I needed to pay to re-activate my loan, stop the repossession and resume making my monthly payments. She went over and beyond to do her job today. Due to her fairness and professionalism, I request my loan stay with Carmen Dennis. Im not sure why the other employees chose to fail at their job today-but Carmen was Excellent. May God Bless her.

I work for a dealer was with a customer trying to get a pay off and they hung up on us twice. inexcusable customer was not happy and neither was i.... something needs to be done

Worst financial decision I have ever made. Don’t get a car with or through them.they take forever for a car release but quick to take a payment give me my car. Y’all not getting extra money outta me.

Этот банк , изначально и намеренно завышает цену на авто, примерно в полтора раза, так что, через год платежей, чтобы рефинансировать кредит, нужно самому погашать треть стоимость автомобиля. Первоначальный взнос идёт коту под хвост и не фигурирует нигде, процентная ставка неимоверна огромная! Никому не советую сюда обращаться, просто посчитайте, и вы поймёте, банальная аренда будет намного выгодней!

I came here to leave my rating based on what I'm going through with this company, only to get here and see [1 1/2 stars] that it would be like beating a already lifeless opponent. Nevertheless, the public needs to know. I have a car with expired registration and paper plates. Long story short, Westlake Portfolio Management won't release my EVR to the DMV, yet they still expect a car payment. They even tried to blame it on the DMV. I've spoken with Managers, Supervisors and Consumer Affairs and its hopeless. If you are going through this too then I suggest that you simply take the credit hit and get another car. Make sure you get the next car first. In addition to this be sure that you file a complaint with the DMV. This way when you go to court you will have something to show the Judge. No one expects you to make payments on a car that's illegal for you to drive. Especially if it's due to the negligence of the lender.

horrible auto loan contract, predators and scammers. They contract is horrible, they caused a financial debacle in my life. Collections practices are so illegal and Westlake financial is lawless. they twist everything over the phone.

Every single person I spoke to was RUDE, UNSYMPATHETIC and DISRESPECTFUL. I was even hung up on by a "supervisor." STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I do not even know where to start with my review! In December the car I have that is financed thru them was in an accident of no fault of my own. Ultimately has been considered a total loss. They have towed the vehicle from the original tow yard it was taken to after the accident two times now! Yes you read that right two times! At my expense of course. And I’m told to not worry if it’s considered a total loss it will all be covered under the amount of money they give me for my car! Yes and less money I get to start over again in a new car!!! I have been hung up on, put on hold just to be “disconnected” been told that a supervisor was not available when asked to speak to one. Told that they could not see information on there computer about the car any more the last they could see was the end of last year. Then magically found something from January… you just can’t make this up! All I want is to be done with this and move forward! There making it impossible! I might also add that they have in there computer that the car was “repossessed” but yet when called out and said I have never missed a payment on this car they will tell me this is just how we put it into our system when a car is in an accident! How do this make sense?! I could go on and on… do not use this company!

Don't die owing these people money. My husband died owing less than 2k on his vehicle. They will try to refuse to talk to you even if they have the death certificate that you sent them (my name is literally listed on the death certificate). Just rude and disrespectful. Even when making a payment they acted as if they didn't want to take the payment and/or like it was a problem. Every agent I have spoken to is rude and acts as though it's a bother to answer your questions.

This is a high fraudulent company set up with the main aim to steal your money and they have teamed up with equally fraudulent dealerships. The cars they sell and finance are junks and it will cost you a lot of money.
Please Please ! do not make the mistake I did at least if you are reading this message. Avoid Westlake Financial at all cost.

I bought a 1997 Ford F150 through this company and let's just say it's been a nightmare experience. I have had problem after problem with this company to the point where they have lost ANY future business from me. To start they tried to change the terms of a legally binding contract 6 months after we Both signed and agreed to the original terms. My most recent problem is I am facing severe financial hardship and I called in November to see if I could skip a payment this month in December 2022. They said I absolutely could but I would have to wait until the 1st. so I called on the 1st and was told I'm not eligible to do this yet. Mind you I've already set up arrangements to pay other obligations with that money. So now I have to hurt my credit because their employees lie and cant be on the same page.

This company charges TERRIBLE interest rates even for customers with GREAT CREDIT. I recently financed a used car thru Westlake on a 36 month repayment plan and even with an 800+ credit score I was charged 11.49% APR. Luckily I paid the vehicle off within 30 days and NOW they cannot seem to understand what a $0 balance letter is. Terrible company!!!

This finance company works with car wholesalers that purchase auctioned cars. These cars are primarily junk and cost you thousands immediately. Then, your stuck with the loan having to get rid of the car due to excessive repairs. Secondly, they don't allow refy after 6 months. Thirdly, if you change your payment date they still charge you late fees based on the original payment date. Horribly unethical company.

I have been with Westlake Financial since 2019. I may have called 2-3 times for information pertaining to my account. When I say they have the most incompetent agents. The interest rate is so high, they don't report the correct amount on your credit report, They only report the Principal balance of the loan not including all the tacted on interest that you are paying monthly. That's how they scam and make extra money. My fiancee and I were in the process of building our credit. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY. The customer service is POOR, My guess is that they hire you and throw you on the phones with zero training or resourses. You can a simple question and it not understood, DETAILS people and critical thinking is not at all given.
